Görvälns Slott ★★★★

📍 Görvälnsvägen, Jakobsberg

"The main course at the restaurant was horrible. The room was cold, just like the attitude from the woman at the receptions desk. My nice silk scarf got a big rip on it when I hung it on a hook in the room and when we brought it up at check out, the woman behind reception simply told us that she “would go check it” and offered no compensation. When we asked to talk more about it, she shut us off as if we were making very unreasonable demands and said we could only choose to contact her afterwards. So we called her after we came back home but this time her excuse was “I would definitely not discuss this over the phone so your only option is to write emails to me instead. It was obvious that she didn’t want to compensate us with anything but she didn’t have the courtesy to just straight out say it to us. We wrote an email to her and I’m open to see if she can actually answer us in a satisfactory way and in that case, I would consider retract this review. In short, it was a very unpleasant stay which is way overpriced and I would not recommend it to anyone that doesn’t like to suffer."

"I booked to one night, arrived in the evening to see no reception. The code shared for my room did not work. They did not answer calls nor respond to my desperate emails. I was forced to book another hotel and take a taxi. They don’t respond on returning my money!"

Welcome Hotel Barkarby ★★★★
"Huone oli hyvin tyylikkäästi sisällä, huoneen olohuoneessa oli pieni ikkuna, makuuhuone oli kauheampi kuin ulkona, ja siellä oli valo, eikä ikkunaa ollut hyvin painava sängyssä.Tilasimme kolme päivää, pidätimme yhden yön ja lähdimme aamulla. Hotelli ei sanonut mitään, mutta Trip.com sanoi, että hotelli voi maksaa päivän takaisin."

"The perfect place to get away for a night or two. It’s was my second time here and I will definitely come back. Beautiful castle with unique style and decor. All rooms are individually styled with a luxurious touch and the most comfortable beds you can imagine. The castle it self had a long and exciting history and we felt the presence of old times lurking in the background. The surroundings are amazing and there are nice trails all around the castle area. The castle has its own gardens where all the flowers come from and the flower arrangements are worth a visit just for themselves 🌺🌸🌺 the castle is an “adults only” hotel, so a perfect getaway with your partner or friends. It feels far away but Stockholm City is close by in car. 100% recommended"
