Money Trap/Uncaring Owner
The girls who work there are very nice indeed. The owner, an apparently very rich local, who knew we were there for a week, didn't bother to introduce himself or be at all pleasant whilst we were there, unlike the manageress next door at White Grass, who was super nice and really helpful (we ate there as so much nicer place and food). Also NOT good value for money - boat trip to 'The Blue Cave' was MORE expensive than the same thing complete with dive equipment and nice boat and chance to snorkel etc just next door. UNBELIEVABLE. Now look at the photo below - this was a mess from day one, as my daughter left toothpaste all over, so we thought they'd clear it up as they clean every day but they just left it there the whole week. Amazing. And the owner was always around with his wife in a way that we did not enjoy as well in the bar area, with no wifi in the bedrooms by the way. We will not return there...
Upon arrival at this small Tanna island airport, we were warmly greeted by their staff and assist us to the hotel. Alyssa and Clera are very helpful explaining places around the island and their facilities to us. Arranged all meals for us daily. Excellent service!

I am compelled to share our deeply frustrating experience with Tanna Evergreen Resorts. Despite facing unforeseen circumstances due to the sudden bankruptcy of Air Vanuatu, our appeal for a simple credit towards a future stay—rather than a refund—was bluntly denied. Our request was met with a rigid adherence to cancellation policies that showed no consideration for exceptional circumstances. Not only did this rigid stance disregard the potential of fostering a long-term relationship with frequent visitors like ourselves, but it also overlooked a crucial opportunity to demonstrate customer care and understanding. This experience has significantly tainted our perception of Tanna Evergreen Resorts, and we are left feeling undervalued and dismissed as guests.

While we were thankful they took us in due to us being stuck because of tropical low it was extremely disappointing. For the price it’s extremely run down. The pizza is made from a frozen pizza. The bathrooms are dirty. The snorkeling gear broken (our gear was stuck in airport storage at Vila) the entrance to the ocean has had no maintenance so my husband slipped and dislocated his finger. No first aid or medical help was offered and no one went to fix the access area. The tours are overpriced due to commission. I’m thankful they let us leave but this resort does not meet the expectations of the high price. The relationship between the management and the staff is obviously terrible. The staff are nice and obviously trying their hardest. If I was the owner I’d be extremely concerned and would get there and take a look themselves. This is the first bad review I’ve ever done.
