"We had to book a last minute room here due to work getting done at home. The price wasn’t too bad for the room considering, it was warm and comfortable enough. Housekeeping severely lacking as it was coated with dust and the window sill was especially filthy. Nonetheless the room did the job, bath was nice with plenty of hot water. the bar was pleasant and reasonably priced. Of course the place needs a serious upgrade and a proper team of staff for such a historic building. (Staff on were fine but barely spoke English) It has so much potential and I feel it could be on par with the likes of Prestonfield. Instead of being run like a budget chain hotel."

"The three of us stayed at the Bowmore House for 4 nights as part of the Scottish Routes Islay Whisky Tour. Andrew and Alison were excellent hosts who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. The room we stayed in was spacious, very clean and provided a beautiful coastal view from the main window. The en-suite bathroom was also generously sized with a bath and shower provided along with the usual amenities you would expect. A particular highlight were the hearty and delicious Scottish breakfasts that we received from Alison every morning. These were cheerfully accompanied by a "breakfast dram" from Andrew, which along with his stories and knowledge about the island, kept our group thoroughly entertained. All of this set us up perfectly each day for our Islay whisky adventure! Could not recommend this place any more!"

Laaja pysäköinti on saatavilla ja aivan tien yli on kätevä mukavuuskauppa, jossa on myös pari bensiinipumppuja kiinnittyneet ilma renkaiden ja auton tyhjiö. Bridgend Hotel sijaitsee kätevästi, mikä on enemmän tai vähemmän keskellä tiellä Islay, joka on hyödyllinen, kun suunnittelee päiviä ja noin ja vierailevat tislaamoissa. Port Askaig Jura, Kennacraig ja Colonsay on alle 15 minuutin ajomatkan päässä autolla."
