"The hotel has nice infinity pools, but no beach or access to a public beach. You have to take taxi to get to one. Taxis are expensive on Tahiti. The resort does have access to lagoon water in just one spot, there is a ladder, and the water is very clean for those wanting to take dip. The rooms are old, esp. the vanities and the decor in the bathrooms. The bed linens and towels are nice. Also the grounds and the views are very nice. I didn't try the breakfast, but the breakfast area seemed nice. Overall, I don't regret staying here, but would consider this option overpriced due to the age of the rooms."

Manaeva Lodge ★★★

"This hotel is pretty good for transit. We arrived after 1 a.m., and they offered free airport pick-up, which was quite nice. They also provide a paid transfer service to the ferry terminal and airport the next day, for about the same price as a taxi. The facilities and environment are so-so, but considering the price, I think it's a reasonably priced place to stay during your layover."

Hilton Hotel Tahiti ★★★★

"The room is big, the bedding is very comfortable, and it is not far from the airport. The taxi is within 25 US dollars. The hotel service is very good. But the breakfast is average. You can see beautiful corals and tropical fish in the breakfast restaurant. Carrefour is opposite the hotel, connected by a covered bridge. It is the best hotel for transition to the main island."
