"🥴🥴🥴 Family room with 2 children, sewage smell upon arrival, dust everywhere, cobwebs, bathroom not very clean, and in the evening, upon getting into bed, 2 strange "insects" 😮💨 in the sheets, so we checked under the sheets (which seemed clean, though) directly on the bedding and... ugh, hair, fur, crumbs... Well, I'm leaving a positive review for the welcome despite everything and the location, but I definitely won't be back!!! A serious lack of professionalism regarding hygiene and cleaning. P.S. I also forgot to mention that the light switch didn't work when entering the room."

"We stayed for three nights arriving from the US to Paris. We thought we had found the perfect place to stay. After a sleepless overnight flight, we arrived in Chartres not having received any of the messages sent that day from Anais. Fortunately she was onsite or we wouldn’t have been able to get into our room. The breakfast once offered is no longer available although since we had paid for one breakfast for the two of us, they made a special effort to provide it. Our biggest problem was that the wifi does not work and I think they were aware of the problem given the previous review. We were relying on using wifi since our internet provider’s daily rate was quite high. We did not see anyone on site for the remainder of our stay so we were on our own. My husband did communicate with Anais several times through WhatsApp but that was our only means of communication. Everything else about Maison Ailleurs is lovely but I think the wifi problem needs to be fixed and someone should be onsite at least once per day to live up to its prior five star reviews."

Suosittelemme babaa rom kotiin, tappaa !!!! Kiitos pomolle kaunis vaihto-aika jaettu lopussa aterian !!!! Älä epäröi, juokse !!!!!!"

"Very nice deluxe Maison d’Hôtes in the city center of Chartres. All city high lights and restaurants at a walking distance. Breakfast was well organized and could be enjoyed at any time in the morning. Room but specially the bathroom was very spacious and well utilized. Only downside is the lack of private parking and busy public parking on the roads around the Maison."

"A very strange experience to say the least! Some would find this hotel amazing, others would hate it! A real 'marmite' experience... sadly we found it really awful in some ways... We arrived in the afternoon and checked in. Went up to our room on the 3rd floor. Looked very basic with a very high up window impossible to see out of or open - very basic single beds, no TV or any lounge to relax in. Oh well - it got hotter and hotter in the room (it was August and scorching outside) and we did try to call at Reception before they were due ro close at 8pm... but... it was locked and nobody around... We had a nice meal in a nearby restaurant. 5 stars for the place - and on return the room was even hotter and stuffier. We suffered a sleepless night with no air and no way to get jigh enough to open the window. Relieved to get out in the open air at 6am to breathe again! Breakfast was OK and we were relieved to be on our way South aftwr collecting our overnight things. This place may well appeal to some as it is so quaint and different - but we'd have given anything for an open window and a desk fan to make it at least bearable. "
