Cute hotel, friendly staff and amazing facilities. You can tell the hotel is new and well kept. Facilities include table tennis, outdoor patio with amazing views, bar, study room. You get a welcome drink which is a nice touch. Highly recommend!

The staff was unbelievably wonderful. The location was a bit further than I expected from the downtown area, but still walk able.

Trendy hotel, clean rooms! Great size TV and en-suite. No storage or fridge/safe/microwave/coffee in room. Reception on upper floor with bar (complimentary drink) and lounge with fab rooftop! Food served after 3pm was limited but tasty. Starbucks on ground floor.

Love this hotel, it was very hip and edgy. The location is a little bit outside of central downtown and the surroundings are a bit run down but I think they are working on it. I love the aesthetics of the hotel!

Very basic, was expecting better. Service was indifferent, the staff was monotoned and not customer oriented. Location was BAD! In a bad neighborhood of Charleston. I was not impressed.

Hotel is different, expensive, room was VERY small, no chair to sit on always had to sit on bed. No restaurant just some bar food in the bar. Nice atmosphere in the 6 floor bar. Would I book again, maybe only due to location to family.

Location walking distance to King St and all the shopping and restaurants. Easy check-in Great roof-top area inside/ outside with bar. Room are VERY small but have everything you need for a quick stop in Charleston. Fun Vibe.

Very clean hotel. Room was nice and clean. The best part no carpet except the rug in the room. I hate having carpet in hotels since it holds so much dust and smells. Bed was comfortable. Shower was good. They have a hairdryer and steamer in room - nice if you need it. Starbucks is downstairs which is awesome.

Accueil inexistant et pas aimable . Hotel tres minimaliste . Dans tous les domaines sauf les salons au 6e étage. Pas de possibilité de restauration puisque l’hôtel est dans le down Town loin du centre . Le ménage et le lit n’ont pas été faits Le point positif les lits sont bons.

Location abbastanza comodo ma non in centro con fermata bus a pochi metri di distanza. Stanze ampie letti comodo bagno grande ed accessoriato. Non presenti però armadio e frigo. Personale gentile e disponibile. Terrazza con angolo snack nell’area check in

Valet was super friendly and efficient! They were always available, had a smile on their face. Kept our car safe and helped us to get all loaded up on our way out of town. Cute little drive thru area under the hotel so you can stay in the shade as well.

The Moxy is trying to be a modern-hip Marriott property. It was advertised as ‘downtown Charleston’ but to get to King Street it’s about a 1.3 mile walk! Upon arriving, we were greeted by the friendly valet and though you pay for overnight parking, your vehicle is parked on the street. The area felt ghetto; for $30 a night I would expect a covered area for my vehicle off the street! When you first arrive, there’s a Starbucks on level one. You take the elevator to level six where you check in (a bit backwards) and then back down to a lower level if that’s where your room is. The front desk lady was nice- the staff was all nice actually, but the amenities of the hotel really were not up to par for the cost. It felt like a glorified hostel. I requested for a refrigerator for my room did not receive after asking two different times on two different days as I stayed there for three days. The room- let’s just say it would be like a jail cell-grey concrete type ceiling, 2 double beds end to end-shoved up against the wall. Closets are considered ‘hooks’ you hang your things on the wall, no chair to sit in no desk. The bathroom was modern but the shower door wouldn’t stay shut and the outlet didn’t work! If you need any additional towels, toiletries, etc. there are lockers on each floor that you retrieve those off. Level six where you check in has a bar area and games to play, quite ‘hipster’ there is also a rooftop pool. If you are not going to stay in your room and just need somewhere to crash, this might be the Hotel for you. Otherwise I do not recommend it. You will feel very claustrophobic in the room. I will never stay at a MOXY property again.

The rooms are small, but not an issue if you plan on spending little time in your room. The common areas are great spaces to stretch out, relax inside or out in the sun. Rafael & the valet were fun & kind. The rooms are only turned over once a week unless you ask for additional cleanings. The bar drinks are good but very expensive & there is a small menu available.
