"The small hotel room is not big but quite cozy. The old lady boss is very enthusiastic. We arrived very early in the morning, thinking that there might not be any available rooms to check in. The old lady said that you should have a cup of coffee in the restaurant first while I go to see if there are any ready rooms, so she asked the waiter to bring us two cups of coffee. Before the coffee was finished, she came back and said that the room was ready and you could go to the room after you finished drinking the coffee."

"A lovely cosy hotel, we were given a very warm and friendlywelcome. We had a beautiful well appointed room , a view of the mountains and an extremely comfortable bed. The breakfast was delicious and served in a delightful dining room. Brig is a charming historic town with excellent restaurants and an exciting feeling of transition as it has been a stopover for people preparing to cross the Alps for centuries....and still is today."

"Poor hotel more like a hostel. Went as part of Riviera Travel holiday. VERY disappointed when first entered room. Very basic room and it’s make your own bed! Toilet seat came off in my hand as I lifted it. Why did the cleaner not report it or was it not cleaned?? Reported to manager who said it would be repaired at 1630. At 1730 reported it again! Male manager appeared and tried to fix it. No good, have to get another one or parts from another toilet! Whilst we had dinner, his son had to mend it as he had “anger issues whilst attempting repair” Unbelievable! Poor dining room with no space and very hot as no ventilation! Food passable but very basic. Tried to get a drink later from bar but was ignored in preference of local people. Family then started a major domestic over who should be serving Toilet and cistern were not fixed to wall so wobbled loosely every time it was used, wrinkled Lino in bathroom and shower was fixed so could not raise the shower head. Wake up Riviera or you will definitely be losing customers Very disappointed over all"

"Visited as part of a Riviera escorted tour. The only redeeming feature of this hotel is its proximity to the rail station (some noise though) and its friendly staff. The food and bar are run separately to the B&B side and sadly the food package offered to us was mediocre, whereas one of our group ate from the restaurant side, paid separately and found that much improved. The hotel room we were put in was tired, outdated, neglected, not maintained and not up to the standard of other comparable hotels. The whole inside carries an air of neglect. The staff do their best to keep it clean and they are friendly but in my opinion the place needs a complete overhaul. There are lots of steps both inside the hotel and main entrance but only one tiny lift. "
