I was booked into one of the Villa Suites, and it was an experience in itself. The suite was beautifully appointed, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, blending elegance with comfort in a way that felt both indulgent and homely. Every detail from the plush furnishings to the serene garden views contributed to a sense of effortless relaxation. It truly felt like a private sanctuary. The service throughout my stay was impeccable. Staff members were warm, attentive, and intuitive without ever being intrusive. Whether it was assistance with luggage, dining recommendations, or simply a friendly check‑in to ensure everything was perfect, the team consistently delivered with professionalism and charm. The hotel grounds are equally impressive. Lush, tranquil, and meticulously maintained, they create a peaceful escape that feels worlds away from the bustle of the city. It’s the ideal setting for unwinding, whether by the pool, in the spa, or simply strolling through the gardens. Dining at Fairlawns was another highlight. My stay in the Villa Suite was unforgettable, and I would recommend this hotel without hesitation to anyone seeking a refined and restorative escape in Johannesburg.

The location of the hotel is a little bit far from downtown, but it’s directly linked to a variety of restaurants inside the montecasino with great choices.

Our stay at Bellgrove Guesthouse was warm, comfortable, and genuinely welcoming. The guesthouse offered a peaceful residential setting while still being conveniently located near Sandton and key amenities. The breakfast each morning was a highlight — generous portions with options ranging from full English breakfasts to lighter continental choices. The parents especially appreciated the quality and effort put into the meals. The rooms were clean, practical, and suitable for a family stay. Staff were friendly and helpful, creating a relaxed environment that made us feel safe and at ease. Transport logistics in and out were manageable via Uber, although occasional driver issues with change were noted. Overall, Bellgrove provided a homely and dependable base for the Johannesburg portion of our trip.

I recently stayed for a couple of nights, and overall, it was an average experience. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff was friendly, which I appreciated. However, the room itself could have been a bit more updated. While it was clean, the furnishings seemed a little worn, and the bathroom, although functional, had some minor issues like a leaky faucet. The bed was comfortable enough, but I did find it a bit harder than I prefer. The hotel amenities were standard—there was a gym and a small pool, though I didn't have time to use either. The Wi-Fi worked fine, and I didn't encounter any issues with the air conditioning or heating during my stay. One thing that stood out was the location. It was pretty convenient for my needs, close to a few restaurants and shops, though not overly special. I was hoping for a bit more from the hotel's restaurant, as the menu was somewhat limited and the food was just okay. In short, it wasn’t a bad stay, but it didn’t blow me away either. If you’re just looking for a place to sleep without expecting anything extraordinary, this hotel will do the job.

It was lovely. Staff were friendly and accommodating and arranged airport pickup. The breakfast was lovely as well as room service. Will definitely stay here again if visiting Jhb. 💕❤️ The rooms were clean although amenities needed to be requested suxh as robes, slippers, shower gel, shampoo etc - not really nice after a long flight. As well as water, so if this could be provided first that would make it even great.

Great location, friendly staff and  good breakfast buffet 👍 sad to have missed out on the complimentary foot massage as it was not well advertised, other than that it was a great stay

This is my go-to accommodation when staying in Johannesburg. The staff are wonderful, friendly and show you that they care about your stay through not just their words, but also in how they treat everyone. The rooms are large, with soft, luxurious finishings that ensure you feel at home. The small restaurant and bar area are unpretentious with a small focused menu that is delicious.

We stayed for a week. It was a decent stay. It’s apartment style you can cook your own meals in your room and also there’s a restaurant you can eat and chill at
