I was allowed to check in early (11.30am). This place is huge! It feels like i'm staying in a national park. The room is very spacious, clean, very nicely decorated with water, toiletries etc. I'm very happy with the room and now keen to explore the grounds before heading out to the national park on the scooter. The grounds are well maintained in most areas but could be improved slightly in others. Nice to walk around but for cycling, the paths are so uneven and inconsistent, it's not a particularly comfortable ride. They also have some kayaks available. There is no road noise but if you have neighbours, the walls are thin so you will hear talking and scraping chairs occasionally. There is also a constant vibrating sound coming from across the river that reverberates throughout the parts which should be relaxing - some kind of large water pump, generator or farming equipment. I went to Erawan and arrived back at around 8pm, the restaurant takes last orders around 9 but they were serving food and drinks outside with a variety of food, from steak to pad thai, papaya salad, noodles, grilled chicken at different stations. With the outdoor seating area lit up and music playing, it is a super chill but lovely atmosphere. Breakfast: A little disappointing. It's more local (processed sausage and ham, more rice, vegetables and noodles etc). I tried the rice, vegetables, sweet and sour chicken - it was all cold. The egg was slightly undercooked so I just had fruit. It was a busy breakfast area and lots of people seemed to be enjoying the breakfast. It was much better on the second day! After a day of exploring around and up to Hellfire Pass, I arrived back at around 6pm. I went to the restaurant where I sat for 10 minutes - no staff came to me to ask if I needed anything despite lots of staff wandering around. I approached them and asked if the restaurant was open, to which they replied no, all food is outside. I wrongly assumed the restaurant was also open. I went to buy coupons for the outdoor food but this time they said it was a la carte - it wasn't very clear how to order food, tables didn't have menus so i asked for one. The food was okay - the stir fried beef was tough but the vegetables were okay. Most staff have low levels of English so communicating can be challenging.

We stayed in a three-storey apartment at this hotel for one night with my family. The staff were very friendly. The rooms were very clean and spacious, and the bathrooms were spotless. The mattresses were cozy and soft. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, and they offered us a wide variety of breakfast items free of charge.

Had a pleasant and comfortable stay at G9 Hotel Kanchanaburi.The hotel is clean, modern, and well-maintained, offering a comfortable hotel-style stay rather than a resort setting. The reception staff were warm, friendly, and helpful, which made the experience even better. Breakfast was pretty decent with a good variety to start the day. While the hotel is slightly away from the main tourist attractions, its proximity to Robinson Mall is a big advantage for convenient dining and essentials. Also minutes drive to the night markets. Overall, a good value-for-money choice and a great option for travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and a pleasant stay in Kanchanaburi.

🏞️ Upeita näkymiä ja hyvää ruokaa Riverside-ravintolassa. 👍 Ajoimme tänne, koska se ei ole niin lähellä kaupungin keskustaa. Mutta se on hyvä asia, koska ympäristö täällä on niin lähellä luontoa kuin mahdollista. Palvelut ovat mukavia, ja puutarhat, puut ja sisustus ovat hyvässä kunnossa. 👍 🥘 Illallinen ravintolassa oli kohokohta. Rakastin ruokaa, myös palvelu oli erinomaista. Jätimme myös tippin… halusin vilpittömästi kiittää palvelimia. 😊 — Ei niin hyvä osa on huone - tuntui hieman vanhalta ja suihkun vedenpaine Junior-sviitin huoneessa oli alhainen. Vedenlämmitinkin näytti olevan viallinen. 😞 ei iso ongelma… mutta johtaa vain huonoon vieraskokemukseen. Oli muitakin kauniimman näköisiä huoneita, joita näimme… mutta luultavasti varasimme vanhemmat… se ei näkynyt huonekuvista. 😢 --- Huoneet Asuin juniorsviitissä… ja 🥲 se on ulkonäöltään vähän vanha huone. Huoneen mukavuudet olivat kuitenkin kunnossa. Sängyn/sängyn lähellä ei ollut pistorasiaa. Vaikeuttaa puhelimien / kannettavan tietokoneen lataamista ja käyttöä. WiFi-nopeus oli hyvä. 👍 ja huone oli hyvin valaistu, josta oli mukava (kaukainen) näkymä joelle. Ruoka & juomat Riverside Romance -ravintola on melko hyvä. Mukana oleva aamiainen oli kunnossa .. ei hämmästyttävää. 🥲 Munakas oli kuitenkin kiva 👍 Aamiaisbuffet-vaihtoehdot sisälsivät: munia, grillattua porsaanlihaa, paistettua taikinaa (patongoa), leipää ja croissanttia, kinkkua ja makkaraa, paistettua riisiä ja kasviskeittoja. Huomionarvoisia yksityiskohtia Näkymä on aivan mahtava 🤩. Luonnon ystävänä… se on hienoa. Aivan joen rannalla… se on rauhallista ja kaunista. 👍👍👍 --- Joka tapauksessa kaiken kaikkiaan kunnollinen oleskelu ja miellyttävä ajokokemus. Mukavia paikkoja ja teemoja myös valokuvaamiseen. Tämä on kuitenkin hyvä paikka ryhmätoiminnalle. Laajat alueet ja mukava paikka nauttia joukkueiden kanssa. 👍 Hauskaa matkaa. -PP 🌱

I had booked for one night, intending to leave for Bangkok early the next morning. At checkin, when informed by reception that there was a bus going to Erawan National Park, I decided to stay one more night. The reception staff came out several times to ensure i caught the bus which i waved down right in front of the hostel. Really appreciate the care given by this staff member. The point i wish to bring across in this post is, you can encourage the free and easy travellers to stay a day or two longer if there are places of interest within eady reach. I had a wonderful day at the park and a most restful night at thd hostel. Highly recommended!

we check in late due to our early trip to the death railway. easy check in system, you just need to see the owner and can directly check in to the room. room is huge, bathroom is clean. has refrigerator too. locationwise, walkable to the night market and to the Kanchanaburi train station. from Kanchanaburi train station you have to cross the road and walk a little bit deeper to the shops area and small alley. however to go to the bus station, you might need to take grab because its about 2-3km distance.

We had a lovely time at Campster and stayed one night in the camper van. We arrived around 1 pm and got our room at 2 pm (we hadn't notified of our early arrival). We were served welcome drink (refreshing) while we waited by the pool for the room to get ready. The camper van was nice and compact with all basic facilities. The bunk beds can fit kids only. The location is out of the town but it was easy for find a grab. We paid around THB 200 from Death Bridge Railway station for a SUV which is reasonable. The driver offered us his services in case we needed to go around town or back to Bangkok but we had already booked a car for the next day to take us to Erawan in the morning and then to Bangkok in the evening (paid THB 2800 for SUV) whereas he had offered THB 3000. There are limited options for food (especially since we eat halal only). We ordered veg pizza's which were not bad. They also have the ready to make noodles and food price is reasonable. There is unlimited supply of water free of cost. Coffee is not great. You get a drink eggs and toasts for breakfast that can be served in the restaurant or to your room. The area is tidy and they have some activities like campfire (free marshmallows and yakult), swimming pool, playground/ garden, swings, bicycles and kayaks. For an additional cost they also arrange jet ski, standing board, water bike and wet raft. The staff are friendly and helpful but many of them don't speak English. The supervisor is a nice lady and speaks fluent english. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and i would prefer it any day over staying in a regular hotel.
