We had the pleasure of staying at this exceptional hotel for a total of 6 nights, and we couldn't be more thrilled with our experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff displayed an authentic and warm hospitality that made us feel truly at home. Their genuine friendliness and willingness to assist with every request went above and beyond our expectations. One of the highlights of our stay was the remarkable cleanliness and tranquility of our room. It was evident that great care was taken to ensure a pristine environment, allowing us to relax and unwind in utmost comfort. The icing on the cake was the superb internet reception, which allowed us to stay connected seamlessly throughout our stay. Our stay was punctuated by delightful mornings indulging in an exquisite breakfast spread. The puri or chapati and curry quickly became our favorites, perfectly complemented by the aromatic masala tea and the flavorful masala omelette – a true culinary delight! The hotel's al fresco dining experience was an absolute treat. The ambiance was charming, and the food left an indelible mark on our taste buds. With each meal, we explored a plethora of different dishes, each more tantalizing than the last. It's safe to say that the culinary offerings exceeded our expectations in every way. A noteworthy mention is the hotel's convenient proximity to Boudha Stupa, a mere 10-minute walk away. This made our visits to the stupa incredibly convenient and allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in its serene atmosphere. What sets this hotel apart is not only its remarkable amenities and services but also the unique opportunity it offers. The daily free yoga and meditation sessions held within the monastery on the premises are truly transformative. We highly recommend inquiring about the schedule from the attentive hotel staff – it's an experience that added immeasurable value to our stay. A fantastic hotel with beautiful architecture and wooden detailing. Incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. Free yoga in the morning on the rooftop and a walking tour is provided upon request. The rooms are large with lots of light. The bathroom is functional with good water pressure. For winter, an electric blanket, portable heater and hot water bottles are supplied. Delicious and well priced breakfast. Amazing value for money.

If you're staying in Kathmandu, this hotel is a good choice. The best thing about it is that it's a new hotel (opening in 2024). Everyone, including the staff, spa staff, and breakfast staff, is very cooperative. Also, everything is well-maintained, including the showers and toilets in the rooms, Wi-Fi, electronic key cards, and internet TV. I'm sorry to say that other hotels tend to be a little older, with broken, slightly dirty, or non-working electronic devices. While it's true that older hotels have gardens and great locations, they can't compare to newer facilities. The breakfast had a nice view, too. 私は海外在住の日本人です。お子様連れの方には静かで落ち着いてるこのホテルを薦めます。もちろん一人旅も。

The skyline restaurant is the best at sunset in this hotel. They have a transparent glass floor to watch everything under your feet. Many locals also get dressed up and come here to enjoy the million-dollar-worthy sight. You can also enjoy the buffet breakfast at the same restaurant if staying here. I used the swimming pool and sauna on 9 floor. The staff there are very attentive and friendly. Feel like a queen being there! The room is super clean and smell nice! I am amazed by the A.C. System. Believe me that’s very rare to find in Kathmandu! All is very good from the beginning of check-in and till the end. They have free drop-off transportation to airport. So I would highly recommend to book the last nights in Nepal and enjoy a relaxing evening of here!

Check-in oli sileä ja tehokas, ja minua tervehtiin lämmin hymy ja tuoreet juomat. Huoneeni oli spotless, kauniisti sisustettu, ja tarjosi hämmästyttävä näkymä jokainen yksityiskohta oli mielellään järjestetty mukavuutta ja rentoutumista. Hotellin tilat ylittivät odotukseni. Syötybuffet oli erinomainen, laaja valikoima tuoreita, maukasta vaihtoehtoja sopia jokaiseen makuun. Talonhoitoryhmä säilytti kaiken täydellisesti koko oleskeluni. Arvostan myös hiljaista ilmapiiriä ja erinomaista Wi-Fi-yhteyttä, mikä tekee siitä ihanteellisen sekä vapaa-ajan että työskentelyyn. Mikä todella asettaa tämän hotellin erossa on vieraanvaraisuustaso. Jokainen tiimijä meni ylä- ja kauemmaksi varmistaa, että minulla oli mukava oleskelu suosittelemalla paikallisia nähtävyyksiä auttaa kuljetus. Kokonaisuudessaan tämä hotelli yhdistää ylellisyyttä, mukavuutta ja aitoa huolenpitoa parhaalla mahdollisella tavalla. Suosittelen sitä erittäin kenelle tahansa vierailevalle alueelle ja en voi odottaa palaavan pian!

The hotel is conveniently situated right behind of the Garden of Dreams. Just a short walking distance to the busy Thamel area. The vicinity has convenience stores, cafes, eateries and pharmacy. The room is quite small but it's alright for a short stay. The bed wasn't quite as comfortable as other hotels that I've stayed. Very basic fitness facility in the hotel, do wish that they would make the gym bigger and better equipped. The breakfast buffet is good enough for some fuel before heading out to explore. Omelette could definitely be improved but I do like the mushrooms and bacon with my omelette. They also have a soup station which you can pick what you want to go into your soup. The soy latte was nicely done. Some day they serve the chocolate cake which is a must try. Staffs are very well trained and speaks good english. I'd definitely recommend staying here for the value for money, fantastic location and good hospitality.

The room made a decent first impression and did the bare minimum. But, it quickly became clear that it’s best suited for a very short stay. The bed was comfortable enough. Overall, the room is fine if you’re just passing through, but anything longer starts to feel like stretching it. Staff presence around the hotel was limited. They clearly run on a lean operation, which can go either way. The guard in front of the elevator stood out in the best possible way and added a genuinely warm, human touch, which helped balance things out. At check-in, I was given two complimentary cocktail coupons for the upstairs bar, which immediately lifted my spirits. This was a place I had enjoyed many times before and often recommended to friends and family. I had good memories of the atmosphere, the food, and the general vibe, so I went in with high hopes. In the past I had written raving 5-star reviews of their restaurant food and amazing service! Unfortunately, the experience that followed didn’t live up to those expectations. What should have been a simple, enjoyable night out unraveled into confusion and unwelcoming interactions. Small moments piled up, the mood shifted, and it became clear that the experience had gone off the rails. Rather than force it, my group and I decided to take our time and money elsewhere. Sometimes you read the room and move on. I returned to the hotel later that night and stayed over. Took a hot shower in the morning, loved the smell of their body wash, btw! Another brief interaction during checkout reinforced the same theme: rigid, abrupt, and lacking the kind of hospitality that makes guests feel welcome. All in all, it’s disappointing to see a place I once enjoyed and freely recommended lose its consistency and warmth. I’m no longer comfortable recommending it, and I’m not sure I would choose to return. As for the unused cocktail coupon, I still have it. Any takers?

Location is alright, there’s occasional cockroaches running past you when you are in the room, cleanliness has a lot to improve on. Worst part is that I booked a single room and was given a room next to the elevator with a window without curtain, anyone tall enough would be able to look into my room and everything in it, to add on to that, the room was next to the elevator and you can hear every footstep and noise/chat coming from the corridor, and when the elevator moves, there’s this super unnecessary music that runs with it so you would get a sense of that throughout the day and night. When I went to the receptionist to ask for a different room, she told me there’s no other rooms available and I have to pay an extra 1500 rupee to upgrade to a different room, that amount, adding with the original I paid for- would already be much higher than a standard deluxe room. Obviously she and the hotel was trying to scam me by leveraging on giving a super lousy room at first. Even though they eventually agreed to change room for me at no charge, I was honestly traumatised by this hotel and was uncomfortable through the stay. Then at check-out in the next morning, the guy was reluctant to let me go asking if I had already paid and making calls to confirm about it. Overall there’s surely better rooms for similar price in Thamel, so do try to skip this hotel unless you like some good memorable reasons to spoil your trip.

My stay at the Lemon Tree Hotel in Kalina was a delightful experience. The hospitality was exceptional, with staff members Nagma, Shruti, Madan, and Vinayak consistently exceeding expectations. Their friendly and attentive service made me feel welcome and comfortable throughout my stay. The food at the hotel's restaurant, Citrus Cafe, was equally impressive. The menu offered a wide variety of dishes, catering to different palates and dietary preferences. Every meal I enjoyed was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Overall, my stay at the Lemon Tree Hotel in Kalina was positive. The combination of excellent food, warm hospitality, and attentive staff made it a truly enjoyable experience.

After several trips to Nepal, I finally decided to treat myself with a stay at the famous Kathmandu Guest House. So glad I did. So much peace, grace, charm and beauty .. and of course, the history!
