"We had an amazing time at NASPA New Otani — this hotel is a fantastic choice if you’re visiting Yuzawa, especially for a winter getaway! The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay, making us feel right at home from check-in to check-out. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable — perfect for relaxing after a day of skiing. The location is ideal for winter sports lovers with ski-in/ski-out access to the slopes and easy shuttle service to Echigo-Yuzawa Station, which made getting around a breeze even in snowy weather. The onsen and bathing facilities were relaxing and just what we needed after spending time outdoors. The buffet breakfast and dinner had plenty of variety and were really enjoyable, with something for everyone. While the hotel is set a little away from town, the free shuttle made it convenient to explore the area if we wanted. Overall, it felt like a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and superb service — highly recommended!"

"The hotel is close to the train station, but need to walk uphill. Although we clearly booked 2 adults 2 kids in Trip.com but the hotel still charged the extra costs for 2 kids (2 years old) for additional 4400 Yen, pay cash at the checkin counter. The room was ready at 3PM and got the room on 3rd floor with mountain view at the back of hotel. The room was spacious, nice and clean. Staff came for turning down the bed futon in the evening. The breakfast was so amazing and plenty of choices. Overall, we had a good stay. "

"I’m giving my honest opinion. This is my first unsatisfied review for a hotel room. I was very disappointed by the room for the price I paid. I paid more for this room than what I paid for luxury upscaled room near Tokyo Disney. The photos online were very deceiving. When I entered my room, it was gross, i cringed, and my toes curled. I didn’t want to put my belongings down. The carpet was old and disgusting. The pull out couch bed was gross. There were stains on the couch back rest and the mattress. The sheet for the mattress was too small it didn’t cover the stained mattress. The beds were hard and didn’t feel clean. The shower curtain had a bad odor. The room was very dated. Since this hotel is pretty secluded and other hotels were booked we had to make do. I’m glad we only stayed one night. On a better note, the staff were very friendly and service was great. Location for skiing was amazing, and the free shuttle bus was fabulous. Naeba Prince Hotel really need to do better with their rooms. I was looking forward to bringing my entire family of 14 to stay a few nights next year, but after seeing the rooms, I will not stay here again unless they renovate their rooms which are in dire need of upgrades."

"Overall great experience over three nights, loved the public and private bath, great hospitality, room was spacious and very clean. Two issues : walls are very thin and a noisy neighbor can very quickly drive you crazy (experienced during first night) and the blinds are not fully blacked out, leaving early morning lights waking us up (a matter of taste and minor issue)."

"My wife and I visited this onsen resort in 2023 and we loved it. My wife especially likes the many onsens they have. We have always wanted to come here again and finally did after 3 years. Like three years ago, the room and facilities are very clean and well maintained everything just as they were. One thing did change and we are quite upset about it, is that the staff is not as enthusiastic as they were (there are some familiar faces, many new ones). I still recommend this place to everyone, Futaba is still the best compared to the other two onsen resorts we’ve visited in between. Hope they can figure out some way to motivate the staff and offer a better experience to guests."

"The room is outdated style of Japanese room design. When we reach the Echigo Yuzawa station there are no more JR train at 21.45 at nite, we have to take a taxi to the hotel. The transportation is a big issue as the hotel shuttle last bus is at 4.30pm. Good point is children can play snow just doorstep outside hotel. Stayed there for two nites which is enough to explore. Not much tourist was found there. Mostly is local. Prefer to stay at modern type of hotel with the same price. During winter it get dark around 4.30pm, so only can go to the Onsen at nite."

"Very nice place to stay! Quiet during the spring/summer period due to the area being more popular in winter. Very near Echigo Yuzawa Station within 5min walk. Was welcomed into the hotel nicely with complimentary matcha and snack. Upon check in there was even a cute Gachapon game in which you could win one of their special Niigata/Yuzawa stuff! I won a small pack of Niigata rice. Room was clean and spacious with a comfy futon bed. The public baths were so nice and well maintained! The staff here are very friendly and attentive. If you did not reserve their special dinner/breakfast set, you can still do say with 2 days advanced order over the front desk. I also love that they provide free shuttle to the station at check out upon request! Definitely staying here again if ever back in the area 🫶🏼"

"A very nice stay! Cozy clean and onsen was good. Host English was not great so you have to use a bit of Japanese when you arrive but otherwise a real gem!"

"One of the nearest accommodation to Gala Yuzawa Ski Resort and shuttle via a mini bus is available. Shuttle bus goes to Echigo Yuzawa station too. It is walking distance from Gala Yuzawa. Approach any staff at the Ski Resort with the telephone number of the hotel to request for it. Stayed there for a few night for snowboarding. Breakfast selection was fabulous with two local Japanese sake available! The room is big, clean and well furnished. It even come with a great view! Onsen street which is the street lined with restaurant is 10-15mins walk away. I recommend making reservation for dinner if you do not intend to go out for dinner. Great service is one of the key reason why I would return to stay!"

"1.是一間有年代感的旅館，進到旅館裡面要換室內拖鞋，自己的鞋子須拿到左邊的置鞋櫃放，無鑰匙，櫃檯的兩位服務人員態度極佳，女性人員英語能力較好，但年紀也是蠻大的了，辛苦他們！ 2.有越後湯澤車站到旅館的來回接送車，在車站的東口9號站牌位置，到達車站後，請至札口斜對面的雪具行，進去之後再往左邊方向往前，有一個服務櫃台，請把飯店傳給你的訊息（有出現湯澤電氣旅館的字樣就可），跟服務人員說要預約接駁車（說Reserve shuttle bus就可以），他們會給你填單子，寫個名字跟人數而已，然後他們會幫忙打電話給旅館告知，會再跟你說幾點會到，然後在車站哪裡等（會有地圖），也會跟你說是什麼顏色的車子來（當天是綠色的）；退房當天再跟旅館櫃檯預約說要搭幾點的車回車站，接送時刻表都放在櫃檯給旅客看，可以滑完雪回來的時候再講，目前最晚的班次是18:10，過了就要請旅館幫你叫計程車了，或是到附近的「岩原滑雪場前站」搭電車到越後湯澤站！ 3.旅館到岩原滑雪場也會有接駁車（會坐到滑雪場中腹），可以在滑雪的前一晚跟旅館櫃檯講一下，最早班次是08:40，最晚是11:40，從滑雪場回來從13:00開始每個小時一班，最晚是17:00回來旅館，當天如果有坐接駁車去岩原滑雪場的話，司機會問你下午想坐幾點的車回來，他會統計人數位置夠不夠，如果時間上來不及，中腹有公車可以坐下來到山麓，山麓走到到旅館路程不會太遠！ 4.旅館可以租借滑雪服裝跟裝備，價格是比滑雪場便宜的，但還是建議服裝自己自行攜帶，因為當天租借服裝口袋內有發現前一位客人遺留的垃圾跟雪票，很明顯應該來不及洗就掛上去，而且服務樣式、大小選擇性有限，早到是可以早選，從頭到腳所需都有租借（除了貼身的護具沒有之外）服裝跟頭盔可以前一晚租借，滑雪板跟滑雪鞋要當天才能租（早上8點後，要去地下一樓，但還是要先跟櫃檯講）；另櫃檯有販售附近雪場的雪票，有折扣，有需要的人可以給櫃檯買，是雪票兌換券，到雪場的時候在跟售票處換票就好！ 5.旅館有提供晚餐餐盒跟早餐自助吧，都是要自費，在櫃台前看得到資訊，不想買的話，旅館走出去右轉大概3分鐘路程就有一間超商Lawson，建議早點到旅館早點去超商買東西的，因為熟食跟飯糰三明治類的容易被拿光；旅館一樓有微波爐兩台可以使用，在櫃台左方的一個小隔間！ 6.當日住的是和式房間，很有氛圍感，裡面有浴室跟獨立廁所間，也有冰箱，但沒提供飲用水，床鋪要自己鋪，寢具都放在櫥櫃裡面，房間桌上有一本旅館的說明書，裡面會教你怎麼鋪！ 7.有公共澡堂，是一個大池子（開放到凌晨2點），有戶外的一個小池可以泡（只開放到晚上11點），澡堂就在櫃台同一層樓右手邊進去（有告示），澡堂裡面有提供沐浴乳、洗髮乳及吹風機，但毛巾或浴巾要自己從房裡面帶過去，而且東西只是放在一個籃子裡面，沒有上鎖的置物櫃，所以不要帶貴重物品去澡堂！ 8.旅館樓層表示較怪，2樓就是大廳1樓處，所以房號如果是201的話，其實就是在1樓而已，房號301就是在旅館的2樓了，以此類推！ 9.退房的時候還是可以寄放行李，跟櫃臺說聲就好，他們會指定一個大廳位置給你放，當天記得取回就是！ 10.整體來說，這間旅館適合要去岩原滑雪場滑雪的人住，因為滑雪場離這裡真的很近，惟附近真的沒有什麼店家可以用餐（但附近有一間超商，還有加油站可以加油），櫃臺服務人員態度很好，旅館設施較老舊，但不影響住宿，有電梯，也有wifi，一樓有販賣機，也有接駁車接送，不要求旅館要住多高級跟現代化的人，可以來體驗一下日式旅館的氛圍，而且房價也不會太高！"
