One of the best ryokans I have visited in Hokkaido There are 2x 7 feet bed (very comfy), big projector in the living room, and the in room onsen was spacious and clean! Clean and modern rooms with a smart tv The room was overlooking the snow and unfortunately lake view was blocked by the snow. Both dinner and breakfast were of top notch quality (we have tried many and they're usually very average), every dish was delicious and we were very full and satisfied. There was also a free beer to each guest every night, big selection of black teas in the lounge and free inari sushi (which was btw delicious!!!) Definitely 100%% would recommend to anyone that is looking for a last stop before heading to the airport

From the moment we arrived at Mizu no Uta, Tsuruga Resort at Lake Shikotsu, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of tranquil luxury. Valet parking greeted us, and we were swiftly escorted to a path lined with zen music, setting the tone for a stay where every detail exudes serenity. Upon entering the reception, a majestic wooden carving of an owl, a powerful symbol of protection in Ainu culture, watched over us. In a delightful and intimate touch, we were asked to remove our shoes – a gesture that immediately made the resort feel like a sanctuary. Walking barefoot on soft wooden floors in such a refined environment felt like the ultimate indulgence. Live harp music floated through the air as we were led past a live fireplace, its warm flames inviting guests to roast marshmallows, adding a whimsical, yet homely feel to the elegant surroundings. The staff, attentive yet discreet, escorted us to our room via separate lifts, ensuring our luggage was seamlessly handled. Entering the room, we were struck by its sheer spaciousness. A half-sized fridge, thoughtfully included, perfectly stored all our chilled treats from the road trip. But the true star was the view: an uninterrupted panorama of lush greenery, stretching out to meet the serene waters of Lake Shikotsu. The combination of the stunning scenery and the luxurious in-room robe made us feel like chaebols, lounging in opulence and shielded from the cool lakeside breeze. As for the dining, the buffet at Mizu no Uta is nothing short of spectacular. Where many buffets struggle to balance quantity and quality, this resort excels at both. Highlights included a live dessert station and a live pizza-making corner, where thin-crust pizzas, surprisingly better than those from Furano’s famed Cheese Factory, were expertly prepared. The spread also featured an incredible assortment of sashimi – the freshest I encountered during my 1.5-week trip across various hotels. The salmon and mackerel, both raw and uniquely marinated in glass jars, were exceptional. The hot dishes maintained the same elevated standard. A simple tomato-based clam spaghetti was transformed by the quality of ingredients, while even the sautéed kailan was enhanced with the addition of Parma ham. Local produce, such as the fresh broccoli used in the cream-based dishes, lent an unmistakable brightness to each bite. The combination of Japanese and Western cuisine was balanced beautifully, with every plate delivering a sense of thoughtful craftsmanship. Of course, no stay at a lakeside resort would be complete without a visit to the onsen bath. While slightly smaller than the one at Lake Akan, the onsen here is far superior in cleanliness and upkeep. Conveniently, the bath is stocked with towels, so there’s no need to carry your own from the room. The experience is further enhanced by a sauna illuminated with soothing blue light, adding a layer of tranquility to the ritual. The open-air onsen is another highlight. For those who appreciate the purity of nature, the bath even features drinkable Lake Shikotsu water, renowned as one of Japan’s top 100 spring waters. This thoughtful touch, coupled with the stunning views, creates an immersive experience that is equal parts restorative and luxurious.

All amenities, room, and facility are OK. They has a small Onsen tub. I stayed here to plan to get to the airport in the morning fast. It is only 2 stations away from New Chitose Airport and very close to Chitose station in 1 mins walk. Pretty expensive during snow festival tho.

Wonderful location - secluded near Lake Shikotsu. Great for scenic walks although not easy during winter snow. Walkable to the lake lookout at the Yumasen red bridge. Nice little onsen for evening / morning baths. Great breakfast spread albeit a bit short (have to be done by 9:30am).

Best Western Plus Hotel Chitose – Convenient Airport Stay with Mixed Service My family and I stayed at the Best Western Plus Chitose this week. The hotel is about 10–15 minutes from New Chitose Airport, and the taxi ride cost roughly $30 USD, which made travel very convenient. Our arrival experience wasn’t the strongest start. We arrived around 2:00 pm and were told our room was ready but that we would need to pay an additional fee to check in one hour early. They held our luggage while we waited in the lobby, and about 10 minutes before official check-in time they offered to let us in to our room (10 minutes early) as a “favor.” Since the room was already prepared, this felt unnecessary and didn’t set the most welcoming tone to charge us. Even simply delivering our luggage to the room while we explored would have been appreciated. The room itself was quite good. It was clean (besides couch stain and shower smudge), relatively spacious by Japanese standards, and stocked with the usual thoughtful amenities common in Japan. The beds were comfortable, and having three pillows per bed was a nice touch. The soaps also felt high quality. The TV is not placed at an angle that makes it easy to watch from the bed, only the couch but we didn’t use it or this living room area. The location is another plus, with several restaurants, Seven-11 and shops within easy walking distance. Service was somewhat inconsistent. The concierge provided a map with recommendations but mentioned being new to the area and couldn’t share much additional insight. When we asked the night desk attendant about nearby places serving Japanese soufflé pancakes for breakfast, she suggested waiting for the hotel café to open at 10:00 am, even though they don’t actually serve pancakes, which wasn’t especially helpful. Overall, the hotel is clean, comfortable, and very convenient to the airport with reliable WiFi. Just don’t expect highly proactive hospitality or detailed local recommendations beyond the basics.

The hotel staff is very nice in helping us checking in and gave us 4 tokens for the vending machine (we're a group of 5). Each coin worth 150 JPY. The onsen is clean and safe, separate floor for men and women onsen. For women, there will be a code to enter when entering the onsen on the 14th floor. The room is clean and the AC works well. Great overall experience. The hotel also offers a free shuttle bus to the airport. 8 people per bus.

Very conveniently located near the Chithose train station , the hotel will cover the Taxi fare from there which is ¥620. The room is spacious with Japanese standards, plenty of amenities offered at the lobby, the breakfast was brilliant, Very nice fish and salad. Dinner options was also reasonable. The staffs are all super friendly and helpful, the hotel offers free shuttle buses to the airport and train station. We enjoyed the stay very much and will not hesitate to recommend it.

It is near to the airport. Provided free shuttle service to airport on condition , one person per piece with you. Due two of my family members have more than two cases, we have to take cab to the airport. The staff is helpful at the front desk to help me book the cab right away when I cannot book through their app.

The location was very convenient, especially if you are traveling to the airport. The staff were friendly and helpful whenever I had questions. Check-in and check-out were smooth and fast.

Hotellissa on uusi ravintola, onneksi asuinpaikka on uusi ravintola, huoneessa on pieni olohuone, jääkaappi on pieni, mutta on kylmä ja jäähdytys, kaksi ovea jääkaappi, vaatekaappi on erotettu kahdesta huoneesta, mutta kylpyhuoneessa ei ole pöydänpesukonetta, mutta on hyvin uusi ykköshuone, jossa on kahvinkeitin kello kolmelta yhdeksältä öisin. Automaattinen käyttö, vaikka kävelyaseman ulkopuolella on noin 7-10 minuutti, se on hotelli, joka palaa takaisin.
