"It was 850meter walk upon arrival at Edinburgh Waverley train station. Through slopes, stairs and uneven roads. Heavy luhgage is strongly not recommended. Fast check in and check out. Great amenities with clean kitchen full with amenities. Toilet a bit small and could be dirty at times. No lifts so have to carry luggage all the way up to 3rs floor. Beds are comfy and clean. As it's bunk bed, so it could be quite disturbing when the other is moving inconsiderably vigorously."

"Excellent location. You can walk to and from both the airport terminal and the rental car depot. I was able to check in an hour early so I could drop my bags first and then return my rental car. As a solo traveller, that made a huge difference. Very friendly helpful staff. The room was comfortable, very clean, and totally soundproofed from air traffic. I'd recommend the Hampton by Hilton as the best choice for an Edinburgh airport stay."

"The hotel is in a quiet and ideal location! Only 15 mins to the main city centre by bus, with bus stop being opposite the hotel. The staff were super friendly and accommodating, and made the stay comfortable. Unfortunately the hotel was under doing a renovation during the visit which meant some rooms and the hallway walls weren’t clean but I’m sure once the renovation gets done a it will a a clean hotel. Safe area away from the busy city centre. Recommend for solo and couple stays."

"The hotel was lovely, the bed was comfortable, the reception staff was welcoming and amazing! I was thoroughly disappointed at the breakfast selection - the eggs were overcooked and floating in water, it was quite gross. The gentleman taking care of the tables was quite rude. We asked the reception whether we can look at the breakfast before we make a decision to add on, she said sure, we went there and this gentleman working the floor was quite rude saying for how many? I told him I am still deciding as my partner wanted to come in and have breakfast too. It was me and my mom staying in the room, but he was so pushy and rude, he asked for my room number, I gave it to him, he came back saying it's not paid and I said to him I know I am just deciding if I want to add it on -- we were standing away from the food and didn't have plates or anything, we were just texting my partner to get a decision from him. He was so rude and said ”see I told you, this is why I asked, come with me” and he had a very rude attitude. We paid for it at the bar and then went to sit down, but this gentleman was the only rude man in the hotel - quite frankly would not eat at that place again!  He messed the whole experience for us. "

"This is a great place, right in the heart of Edinburgh. Staff are friendly and the courtyard beds have more privacy than usual hostel bunkbeds, with the way onto the bed being at the end of the bed and a curtain to keep your privacy. Cider tasting was a nice addition."

"Very convenient in centre of Edinburgh, about 10min walk from train station. Easy to enter self check-in. Also the street and area nearby have several great restaurants and cafes! Friendly receptionist to store our suitcases before room was ready. The flat itself has a kitchen and toilet with all necessary amenities, and so it's great for families and anyone needing to cook and be like at home (we made breakfast!)"
