"Fantastic hotel convenient for what I needed. What a treat to have a pool - well maintained and while it was popular it never felt crowded and always space in the sauna. Very friendly front of house staff and house keepers. Reasonably priced food and drinks. Kids meals are great too."

"Front Desk Staff was Excellent - I raised a concern when a member of Miller & Carter Restaurant said the main restaurant was closing this was at 2045 and she tried and confined us to a table not of our choice we advised if that was the only table she could offer then we would not dine there - there was 3 of us. I informed the young lady at the front desk and she was understood and said she will speak as the restaurant was not closed.  I like the Grand Marriott it’s one of my Favourite Hotel the point above is not a negative review it’s to reiterate the Hotel Staff look after there Guests and are good listeners."

"The hotel is very conveniently located in central Bristol, making it a great base for exploring the city. The room itself was quite spacious, featuring a comfortable bed and a good shower. However, one issue I encountered was the heating— it wasn’t working during my stay, and each room had been provided with a small electric heater instead. This wasn’t mentioned at any point prior to booking or even at check-in, which was disappointing. The heater provided was quite small for the size of the room, and if the weather had been any colder, it likely wouldn’t have been sufficient to keep the room warm. Service at the front desk was also a bit slow. I tried calling reception multiple times using the in-room phone over the course of a few hours, but no one ever answered. The hotel does offer amenity kits, which is a nice touch—especially as many hotels seem to have done away with them. However, the breakfast was a bit pricey for what was offered, which may not be the best value for money. Overall, the location and room size were great, but the heating issue, slow service, and expensive breakfast could use improvement."

"Very comfortable hotel right at the canals. Very close to a major restaurant and club area so a bit loud in the evening but windows are well insulated. Comfortable bed and well maintained bathroom. Staff was friendly. There is a large parking garage next to the hotel and 24 hour parking, when paid at the hotel, is £18."

"We had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Holiday Inn Bristol with our family! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome and went out of their way to ensure our comfort. The family room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully arranged to suit both adults and children. Breakfast each morning was excellent, with a wide variety of delicious options that kept everyone happy — from fresh fruits and pastries to hot, cooked dishes. The hotel’s location was perfect for exploring Bristol, with great access to local attractions and transport links. What really stood out was the warmth and professionalism of the staff. Every interaction, from reception to housekeeping, was friendly and efficient, making our stay all the more enjoyable. Thank you to the entire team at Holiday Inn Bristol for making our family trip so memorable. We would not hesitate to stay again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!"

"We arrived to the hotel late at night, check in was quick and simple, had a good nights sleep then a great breakfast in the morning. Rooms are basic and missing some necessary storage or shelving."

"Beautifully and exceptionally clean hotel lobby and room but room decor was very cold and bland. Comfy bed, lovely shower and great range of products to use. We had a very good breakfast included in our stay and lots of choice. Atmosphere was very flat and depressing - no chatter or conversation from staff which was a shame - probably the constant depressing ‘music’ which was being played. Location was about a 10-15 min walk into Bristol which was fine for us as we love walking. The hotel overlooks graffitied waste ground and the ring road runs right next to it so no lovely views sadly. Most staff looked glum, no conversation or friendliness just bored young staff behind the bar. One lady at reception made up for all of them with her super-bubbly personality. Quite a few were on their phones - hotel was very quiet for a bank holiday. NO parking on-site but there is use of another nearby. Food was okay-to-good - nothing outstanding and quite expensive but only to be expected in a city hotel. Overall, it was worth the discounted price we got it for - definitely would have looked elsewhere if it had been full price."

"What a beautiful hotel.. facade is Medieval painted ..stunning. Very central on a quiet street. The staff are very friendly and approachable and very knowledgeable about the city. Room spacious and comfortable Spotlessly clean Well stocked amenities (Tea/coffee, iron etc) There is a restaurant and bar onsite... perfect ambience Breakfast was an amazing selection of both hot and cold buffet, fresh pastries and a choice of juices. Although quite busy, there was no waiting for tables. Highly recommended"
