"Lovely traditional large hotel with modern facilities. Located within walking distance to all attractions in Hong cun. Room was v comfortable and luxurious eg Bvlgari bath provisions. Breakfast was v tasty. Staff were very helpful. Can request for executive vehicle to fro train station to hotel (pay driver directly). We felt our 2-nights there was like staying in a traditional wealthy man’s mansion 👍🏻 Highly recommended"

"Very polite and friendly customer service, felt very welcome when we reached. Staff was quick to respond to our requests. The entire place was tastefully designed in modern Chinese style but retaining the roots or history of the complex. The bar and tea room was also stylishly furnished for a relaxing evening. I believe there are movie and KTV rooms at the basement across the restaurant. Along the way to our room, there were several artistic features, adorned with Japanese Maple and reed. The colour scheme and overall feel was relaxing and soothing. Room was spacious with a garden patio, large indoor tub for onsen style soaking and bath, shower area, large bed and living area, and a separate room for storing luggage and clothes. We had a quiet room at a corner of the compound."

"We used this as a base to get around different scenic areas. It was close to the west parking lot of Hongcun, where several buses can take you to different places, including the Huangshan Scenic Area. The hotel was tastefully decorated and most distinctively, it had a movie lounge and a tea appreciation area. Make use of the hotel's golf cart service to get to the west parking lot and back. There were afternoon snacks provided and they varied each day. The only downside was probably the lack of shops within a 200m radius."

"It is always a risk to travel by yourself , as a woman, and as a foreigner. Also, booking hotels online might be an adventure. Many places show photos that are not real, and when you arrive at the place, things are not what you expected. This place was the other way around: the reality was better than the photos. The place was spotless, the rooms were beautiful, and the staff was extremely professional and kind. From the landlady to Xiao Wan , the housekeeper , who is a force of nature, is intelligent, strong, and capable of solving any problem you might have. As a woman travelling alone, I always felt safe in the hotel, and my things were always safe. No danger here!. The rooms and the hotel combine the best of China, tradition and modernity. Beds are comfortable with traditional and soft pillows. Beautiful high-quality bedding. Great and comfortable sleep! Technology everywhere and modern amenities. The hotel is placed in the best place in hongcun. Close to everything but calm and quiet. Best views of the river!! I will recommend this with all my heart to all the travellers, whether Chinese or foreigners. If you go to Hong cun,this is the best place to be! I will be back with my friends and family for sure! "The stay at Hongcun Zuoxian Art Hotel was remarkable. Received a call from the host (小李管家) while on the way to confirm my arrival time and needs. She even helped me arrange a driver to pick us up from the Huangshan North train station at a reasonable cost. Driver (李师傅) was friendly and gave us lots of tips while visiting Huangshan and we ended up using his services throughout the 3 days we were there. When we arrived, 小李管家 was right at the hotel entrance waiting for my for us and checkin into our rooms was a breeze. Rooms were clean with all the amenities you will need for a comfortable stay. Most impressive was the hotel layout and design which was very artsy and minimalist for a place like Hongcun. It was simply amazing! Me and my family especially loved the lobby and the coziness especially in front of the fireplace during winter. Hotel Location was within walking distance (200m) to Hongcun Ancient village and around 40mins drive to Huangshan mountain and around 1.5hrs drive to the Huangshan North Station or Tunxi Ancient Street. Will definitely recommend this hotel to all our friends and relatives if they are planning to visit Huangshan one day!!!"

Perfect stay in the clouds resort. We spent five nights here. I am living in Chiba for 18 years. This is the best stay in hotel since I am here. The village is touristic, but authentic and quiet in night. It’s a mix of ancient village, water, nature. The dream China. The resort is perfectly located on the side of the lake. The common parts are wonderful, from the term, the garden, the courtyards. You can feel the soul of the country here, built by multiple generations. The rooms are traditional but beautiful and extremely well equipped with huge shower, Japanese toilets, huge bathtub. There is 3 courtyards, all original and authentic. You feel the heat of history. The restaurant is the best of the city, for reasonable prices and tasty and comfortable settings. On the top of it, very dedicated staff, trying their best to make us happy, nice breakfast, nice afternoon tea, tea ceremony… we can be only grateful to have the pleasure to stay here. Fast train station is just ten minutes away…

黃山自駕行必須給這家藏在景區裏的民宿一個大大的好評！ 一進院子就被驚艷到了，小院聚氣生機盎然，綠植環繞，陽光灑下來特別治癒。最棒的是院前還有一片小菜園，種着新鮮的蔬菜，隨時可以採摘自己燒，這種體驗真的太獨特了！ 房間的設施也很貼心，房間除了空調以外竟然還有地暖，洗澡水超級熱乎，洗完澡渾身舒坦，這種細節真的加分！另外必須誇一下老闆採購的客房牙具，軟毛非常舒服好用，連這些小東西都這麼用心，必須點贊。 民宿位置絕佳，就在西遞景區內，晚上出門就能看演出，氛圍感拉滿。而且這裏交通很方便，離黃山各個核心景區以及周邊的宏村、呈坎、唐模、許村等古村落都非常近，可以每天開車去不同的地方玩，完全不趕路。 最後強烈建議：如果老闆（北京大妞）給你推薦行程，一定要聽勸！ 她給規劃的路線特別順，她推薦的村子/國保都是精華。我這次元宵節前後，聽老闆介紹去看了呈坎和唐模的魚燈以外，還去了另更原始的汪滿田村落，看了一場有傳承六百年300斤12米長的魚燈盛宴。 住在這裏真的不想走了，下次來皖南，還會選這裏！

Located beside the South Entrance to the village and facing the water-body (see photo of hotel with red banners). Unlike most hotels within the village, this hotel has conserved the architecture of the exterior and interior of the over 300 years old structure. It is well maintained with modern amenities and a nice manicured garden filled with bonsai plants. The Chinese breakfast was simple and nice. The menu has a good range of beverages and the food was good at reasonable prices. The room we stayed was small but cozy. It is within the main building and just outside the room there is a reading lounge. It was quiet and hardly used while we were there. 这不单是很特色的建筑楼房，我们仿佛回到了历史上了！ 小红和小桃为我们的服务特佳，给了我们很温的感觉！

This has to be the highlight of this trip to China. Tachuan is almost a complete resort by itself. We had tea by the creek, main meals overlooking a gorgeous paddy field, read near a stream. There are little activity areas dotted around the resort where you can experience dressing in hanfu, practise the zither, as well as play chess or practise your calligraphy. The staff has to be the best I encountered this whole travel, they went over and above what they needed to do, including bringing us on a hike to the nearby National Park. The National Park is a nice area to spend a morning at. Ducks and rabbits wander freely in the estate, and there are 2 adorable cats. There is free transport to or from Hong Cun, which is a Unesco village. Personally, I should have just explored Hong Cun for a afternoon and still return to stay another night at Ta Chuan, instead of spending one night at Hong Cun

The homestead is located inside the acenic area of Hongchun. It is very convenient to all the attractions and restaurants. You csn have a nice stroll after dinner. The hostel is very 'Zen Style' if you choose for the 2nd hostel called 'Xindeng 心灯'. The room is huge and clean. There also offer nice chinese teas for enjoyment. The homestead owner is also very helpful in arranging the transport for ferrying to the hostel and to another destination. However, it is much easier to communicate with the operator via Wechat which is local apps. Use Wechat to call for the transport arrangement for any purpose. The only minor issue is the early distutbed noise of motors and residents will wake you up in the early morning of 6am. The homestead is just next to one of the main lane.

Zhang Mansion is a peaceful oasis from the hustle and bustle of the ancient village, its decor and furnishing is fitting with the historic setting but with modern, clean and comfortable amenities. Would definitely stay again and would strongly recommend to others! Hotel manager was very communicative, but you need to have WeChat. They can communicate in English by message with you. The rooms were stunning, service was excellent and the communal areas were beautiful and comfortable. Hotel breakfast was freshly made and they were able to accommodate our requests. Some of the rooms require ascending steep stairs, so if you have accessibility needs it would be best to inform the hotel in advance. Bedrooms are comfortable and cosy. The addition of the tea ceremony area is brilliant. The mattresses and bedding were clean and comfortable. Bathrooms were clean with good pressure hot water. The hotel also put us in touch with a honest and reliable driver that we used for transfers from the bullet train station as well as a trip to Huang Shan (yellow mountain).

The property is located in the heart of Hongcun, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the historic village on foot. As guests, you’re also entitled to discounted entrance tickets: just let the ticket office know you're staying here and they'll give you 50% off tickets. Room was exactly as in the photos, spacious, perfectly clean and featured a very comfortable bed and many accessories (bottled water, tv, haircomb, hairdrier, etc). The building’s traditional Chinese architecture was absolutely beautiful and on a rainy day, it created a wonderfully romantic atmosphere we will treasure forever in our memories. The staff were exceptionally helpful. They kindly met us to guide us to the hotel (since Apple Maps and AMaps can be a bit confusing in the area), provided umbrellas free of charge and even bring us back to the parking lot when we left. We had an excellent stay and highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Hongcun!

The hotel is a brand new one. Once arrived, the hotel reception staff served with a warm smile and generously grant us free breakfast for 2 mornings. Hotel renovation looks well and the room facilities are all modern and high tech. I was particularly impressed with its WCPan which has an auto washing services for buttock. The bed linen and flooring are clean well. Environment nearby is beautiful village scene where we enjoy having a lesuire walk there. All in all, it is a very good hotel which can make you relax even you just stay in the hotel. Ha one more that is the restaurant next to the hotel where one may enjoy delicious Chinese meals. The staff there are also very nice. Eating there is just like having meals at home. I am sure I will stay in Vienna again when next time I go to huangshan.

In general a nice relaxing stay. Good location to explore Hongcun and ancient towns. However, a little disappointed by the overall quality which is below my experience when compared to staying at other banyan tree properties. Little things like the clearness, maintenance of the property where paints are peeling etc. the most obvious is poor choice and quality of the breakfast .

The Pig’s Inn is a very cozy place that makes you feel like home. Bishan village is far away from the city so I asked the hotel for help with taxi arrangement. Manager Fang Xin (方鑫) gave me the contact to the driver who was always on time and gave me lots of tips about hiking up mount Huang. The room in the hotel was really clean and warm regardless of the very cold weather outside. The hotel staff is super nice, they waited for us with dinner till really late. As my family is really picky when it comes to food Pig’s Inn was a perfect place to eat dinner and breakfast as they made all the dishes according to the needs of my family. In the evening there was a huge spider in our room (came there suddenly), the nice woman form the hotel helped us to remove it from the room. Everything was perfect and our trip was really nice thanks to the Pig’s Inn ☺️
