The area around the property is mainly tea plantations and farms, good for a short afternoon’s exploration before dinner."

"Reviewing from a ”long-stay” (5 nights) point-of-view. Pros: Room is spacious enough for 2 pax + breakfast is not bad. Cons: Our room's toilet smells of mild sewage throughout our stay + sound proofing is not great. Every morning, we were awoken by doors banging/voices from people who went to see the sunrise. Recommend to stay only if you're budget conscious and have your own transport (which is recommended for all stays in Alishan anyways)."

"We book 2 different room. 1 night. Overall is a super convenient and good location in Alishan. They have the most reasonable price in the area. If you are staying for 1-2 night. I highly recommended. 1 of the room we book they give me an upgraded room. Upgraded room seem to have been renovated before compare to the family room. Overall are happy."

"This was really the best home stay experience we ever had! The owners are super kind. Upon arrival, they warmly welcomed us in and gave us delicious tea, apple, snacks, and their good company. The room itself had amazing views over the mountains, tea plants, and sakura. The room was really big, equipped with a good shower and comfortable beds. We even got a free room upgrade and tasty breakfast with fresh fruits. Next morning we were taken on a tour over the Tea Plantation and the owner told us not only about the process but could give us information on all the other plants like coffee plants, flowers, etc. We really hope we can stay here in the future again."

Alishan Hotel Dafeng Resort is about 75 kilometers east of Chiayi City, east of Yushan Mountain Range and adjacent to Yushan National Park. It is located in Alishan National Forest Recreation Area, about 2,200 meters above sea level, right behind the Tourist Service Center, close to shopping streets, restaurants, train stations, bus stations and tourist service centers, and transportation is very convenient., and can book sunrise tours to Yushan National Park. The hotel uses electric blankets all year round, and heating equipment is provided in winter (computer-controlled below 7 degrees C).
"The hotel is newly renovated and very modern and clean. It is about 6-7 deg at night in Alishan and the hotel bed has electric blankets which kept us very warm. The location which is just a 2 min walk to the main Alishan train station and restaurant area is fantastic if you want to see the famous Alishan sunrise. The staff provided good tips and made sure we knew where to catch our bus to Sun Moon Lake. Note there is no kettle in the room but there is cold and hot water dispenser on each floor. There is also no fridge in the room but you can use the common fridge on the first floor. Will highly recommend this hotel!"

"Homeowner is very friendly and helpful with the instructions on where to catch sunrise and sunset. There are 3 beautiful dogs and delicious breakfast!
The only downside is that we didn’t catch the sunset or sunrise due to the weather but you can’t blame it on them!"

Toilet big. Perhaps can have a basket to hold the hair dryer besides toilet plug.

Breakfast is good. Besides toast, they serve each occupant a set tray of baked chicken with veg and fruits. They also provide Alishan tea variety to let occupants sample Alishan tea at breakfast. Perhaps can put in room as well. Good marketing for Alishan tea.
Free flow of hot and cold water just outside room at the community hall. So save you the trouble to boil water. Thermo flask and lukewarm water also provided in the room.

Hotpot dinner is excellent veg r fresh. Breakfast has a good variety. Ambience is exceptional, Great place. Highly Recommended 👍

Ppanutat.pThis is the ideal hotel for Alishan hikers! The staff is incredibly helpful and provided us with a complete itinerary for the area.
We were particularly impressed when they called every room to announce the updated schedule for the first Alishan railway run to catch the sunrise.
While the room is small, this is understandable given the National Park setting.

NNov28The location of the hotel is excellent. There is a shuttle bus from the visitor center, and it’s also very close to the Trees area, making it easy to explore on foot. Both dinner and breakfast were plentiful and delicious. I recommend arriving before 3 p.m. if possible leave your luggage at the hotel, take some time to walk around nearby, then come back for dinner.
We only stayed for one night and arrived late in the mountains around 8 p.m., almost missing dinner. The hotel staff were incredibly thoughtful and kind, and they helped us so we were still able to enjoy our meal. The food was great, and all the staff were very friendly. Highly recommended!

JJingmidexinyu這個民宿可以説是這一次去阿里山的額外收穫。在離開高雄之前的早上才從攜程下單，因為它寫着2026年剛剛開業，關鍵是離阿里山遊客中心大約一個小時的路程，如果第二天早上天氣好，可以直接去坐小火車看玉山日出，沒想到下了整整一天雨。google maps指了一條錯誤的路線，讓我把車開到了一個偏僻的小村莊死衚衕，幾乎無法調頭出來。與店家聯繫後再到一個加油站等，女主人親自來接我，到了這個民居，感覺主人應是一位藝術家。簡單而又不簡陋，因地制宜。由於衹有我一個客人，享受了一晚的特殊待遇，Wi-Fi出了故障，女主人想辦法到鄰居借了給我用，第二天早餐專門做了寬麪條湯麪還有台式小菜，加上兩個荷包蛋，我一整碗連湯不剩吃完了。值得向自駕遊（免費停車）夥伴推薦。

There is a 7-11 which is just next (or rather up the stairs) in the same building. It is nearby the old street as well.
The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful with the directions going up Alishan. There is water dispenser near the staircase.
We had the dinner at the hotel where it serves by per pax. The portion of the food is big and sufficient for our group of 5 to eat.

TTwinriverWe stayed here for two nights. The owner is very nice and helpful. My wife had motion sickness and she gave us some ginger tea to help relieve the upset stomach. We really appreciate her kindness.
The location is good, on 54.2km Tai 18 Route (台 18线），very close to Tea and Mist trail and Eryanping trail. Linchuo (林厝） station is 200 meters away and Xiding (隙顶）station also very close. Bus #7322 carries you from the above stations to Alishan Station in 1 hour. It’s great for a day trip.
When we choose places to stay, we care about room cleanliness and shower water pressure. We are very happy with both.
Breakfast is included and served on rooftop with beautiful mountain views. If simple but good enough for us. You can also enjoy the sunrise here.

TTkyuLocation is very central to the park which is the biggest plus point for the hotel. It came with a basic breakfast ( it’s okay to skip if your timing doesn’t fit). The room is small but is consider pretty standard in Taiwan. Staffs are helpful and friendly and you can arrange tour in the hotel. Water pressure for shower is good but the temperature seems like is dependable on other users, so it can be very hot and cold. The room is warm with a dehumidifier. The bed is quite hard but usable. Sound proofing is insufficient, we can hear next door brushing teeth and shower in the middle of the night. Though for the purpose of staying in the Alishan, I would say it would still be a reasonable pricing and stay because it is likely it is a short stay.
