"Poor cleanliness and lack of service are major issues here. We discovered two cockroaches in different areas of our room (one crawled out from under the bed, and another up the shower wall right after a shower) on the same evening. The front desk was closed and the only way to reach hostel staff after hours is by phone—but no one in our travel group had a working phone number in Norway. We sent an email but did not receive an answer that evening. As we head out at 10am the next morning, we noticed that the front desk was not open, despite signage indicating that the desk opens at 9am. The hostel's response to our email, which came more than 24 hours later, was dismissive and pointed fingers at us rather than acknowledging our legitimate concerns. This hostel might be conveniently located, but save yourself a poor night's sleep and the stress of potentially bringing cockroaches back home by booking somewhere else."

"I think this was a really nice hotel. Comfortable bed and room. I really liked the desk and chair. Good breakfast. The only thing I didn't like is that unlike most other hotels, when leaving the room you need to lock the door yourself by swiping the keycard on the lock. The location is a bit remote, but on the other hand this is a great "base camp" if you're planning to hike Mt Ulriken for example. And the walk to the city center is only 30 min or so."

"The hotel was unexpectedly beautiful, with a stylish design and great natural light. The room we booked was a bit small, and the facilities were new. The chair in the room was uncomfortable and slipped down when you sat on it, and the sink drain was clogged. As with most hotels, there was only body wash but no conditioner, slippers, or toothbrush sets. The room didn't have a kettle, but you could ask the front desk for one. The breakfast was very rich and exceeded our expectations. Parking was cheaper than in most areas."
