"It was a very bad experience. The check in was easy, however, the room quality was horrible, very small size, the bed quality was very poor, bathrooms had clogged drains, corroded pipes and broken tiles. There was no auto cleaning nor we were informed at reception that cleaning is on demand. Did mot offer parking despite my initial demand, their umbrella service was paid and ripped me off too much extra chages dont know how to get ot back. Overll, very bad hotel."

"Täydellinen sijainti Bergenin keskustassa, mutta 5/10 minuutin kävelymatkan myötä ei ole kovin kiireinen hotellin ulkopuolella. Henkilöstö käsittelee selvästi paljon turisteja joka päivä ja ei koskaan näyttänyt stressaantuneen tai taistelun aksentteja/kieli esteitä. Talonhoito teki sängyt ja korvasi pyyhkeet joka päivä. 10/10, Tak!"

"AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! I had a terrible stay in City Hostel Bergen in August 2025 (14-16/8) as their staff did NOT send me check-in details prior to my check in, so I ended up having to stay in common area midnight. I was supposed to check in on 14/8 and the hostel claimed to send me check in details, such as lobby door password, my room number, room password, on my check-in date (14/8). For the record, the hostel replied me through Agoda message on 14/8 afternoon, so I was fairly certain they had adequate time to send me the check in details within business hour, prior to my arrival. I also asked them several times for the check-in details in the evening, but no reply was received. Reception was closed when I arrived after 10 PM, so I tried to reach out through phone calls (used multiple phones from guests in hostels as well) & phone texts, but staff did not respond. I still got no email/text from the hostel that night (checked spam folder too and I got nothing), not until the next day 15/8 8:27 AM ICT as shown in the photo, which was 3:27 AM in Norway time. It was totally UNACCEPTABLE that I had to wait overnight to receive these simple check-in details. It was sweet that a guest lent me her extra blankets for me to stay warm in common area over the night, as I did not know my room number and password. What's worse is I did NOT get any kind of apology or compensation from the hostel. They did not even care to reply me after I reached out for explanation regarding this matter. Totally disastrous management and poor attitude! I absolutely hope this won't happen to any other guest. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!"

"Very good location, clean and modern hotel. Location is easy from the central bus orbtrain station. It was also convenient from the bergen airport. The staff was friendly and helpful. Love it. Cant fault it."

"This hostel absolutely exceeded my expectations! I loved the vibe and energy here. The facilities were excellent, with a well-stocked kitchen, comfortable lounges, and fast, reliable Wi-Fi throughout, and even a gym. Daily breakfast had great varieties and were nutritious. The location is about 2.5 km from the city center, but it is at the foothill of Mt Ulriken, close to many trailheads, ideal for hikers. There is bus #12 from central bus/train station to the hostel. What really made the stay special was the 24 hr reception and friendly staff. Can't wait to return!"

"The room was large, especially the bathroom; the overall view was also very open; the hotel forgot to provide bathrobes and slippers on the first night, but they were provided when the room was cleaned on the second day after I extended my stay; the hotel sign was unclear and there was no distinctive sign, so I almost couldn't find it; the breakfast was average."

"Erinomainen sijainti. 3-5min kävelyauto #1 joka vie sinut lentokentälle kohtuuhintaiseksi. Mene takaisin satamaan, näet Bryygen & kalamarkkinat, kaikki 5-10min kävely. Kalamarkkinan jälkeen 5hr lautta liekkiin, Norled. Junaasema on 15-20min kävely yli fpuntain/puntin. Huone on tarpeeksi tilaa perheen 3 tai 4, koska sohva voi nukkua 2. Lautasenpesukone ei puhdistettu & lautasen jätettiin melko likainen aikaisemmilta vierailta. Tein puhdistuksen keittiö ja saniteetti huoneen itse. Seuraava vieras on iloinen. He selvittivät ruoanlaitto päivittäin & vastaanotto oli erittäin hyödyllinen. Pesukone ei toiminut hyvin, mutta voit silti pestä. Otti abt kaksi kierrosta, ja se on ilmainen, vain ostaa pesuputkia vastaanotto. Pieni supermarketti Rema1000 on lähellä ja siellä oli paljon ruokavalioita, mukaan lukien McDonalds. Me olimme kaikkien mielissämme majoitusta."

"Sijainti vanhassa kaupungissa, huone on liian vanha. Tilasimme kaksi huonetta, ja tuloksena oli kolmas kerros, joka vastaa kotimaista neljättä kerrosta, kiertävät puurakennukset, hyvin pieni ja matkatavarat ovat vaikeat. Älä suosittele, että suuria matkatavaroita käyttävät vieraat tai vanhukset valitsevat hotellin. Aamiainen on yleensä erityisen pieni, ja on arviolta vaikeaa pitää 20 ihmistä."
