"The Grand Hotel les Trois Roi is not just a place of lodging, it is an immersive experience. From the moment we walked through the door, we were greeted and treated with utmost respect, dignity, and professionalism (despite our haggard appearance from travel). The reception team was kind and very helpful, and concierge was wonderful. They assisted us in securing reservations for the (excellent) restaurant next door, and helped us map out a fantastic walking tour of the area, highlighting sites that fit our interests. The hotel itself is stunning; it is a living piece of history. Our room, with a balcony overlooking the Rhine was outstanding in every way. We so greatly appreciated the plates of treats that welcomed us, and enjoyed the complimentary fully stocked minibar. The heated towel rack and heated bathroom floor were decadent additions to an already amazing space. The bed was comfortable and the room very quiet. Breakfast was a delight - so many delicious and visually appealing choices! Definitely try the sweets table - chocolate coated banana bread is scrumptious, and the cookies - yes, cookies for breakfast - were such a treat. Our only regret was that our stay was just one night. Without question, we need to return to Basel and enjoy the Grand Hotel les Trois Rois for a much longer time. Thanks to the entire staff for an outstanding experience!"

"It's actually pretty average. I was planted here by Xiaohongshu. First of all, the geographical location is far away. 20 minutes walk from Basel station, on the other side of the river. Although most of the roads are relatively easy to walk, the main attractions: the station, the ancient city and the Art Museum of Basel are all on this side of the river, so it is not very convenient. I have a feeling that there is no need to go so far for this hotel Secondly, hotel decoration. The pictures in Xiaohongshu are too beautiful, and the p-picture content is too heavy. In fact, it is relatively ordinary, and I live on the fourth floor. The entire corridor feels like it has just been painted and smells of paint. Finally, service. The two waitresses at check in and out both had obvious smiles. Only the German guy on duty at night made me feel serious and enthusiastic."

Although I contacted Ctrip, the hotel processed the refund the next day. It was the first time I encountered it, especially when I was tired from traveling in the middle of the night and the place was unfamiliar to me. It was uncomfortable and uneasy."

"Arrived in Basel a day early to begin a Rhine River cruise. Folks at Hotel D were nice, accommodating. Good directions and some site maps provided. The hotel was centrally located and not far (walk or tram) to where the rive boat dock was. Nice lobby and though small (standard for Europe) had a nice room. Over all clean and sufficiently supplied. Easy to walk around from to see old city sites and garner food. Basel is nice town to begin this part of Europe trip. Hotel D started us off on the right foot."
