The Orchard Hotel Baguio arvostelua

The place is very clean, our trip was awesome. Breakfast is abundamt and have several options. I will recomend my friends to stay here. Looking forward to our next stay.

The hotel looked quite new and the halls, rooms and bathrooms were all very clean. The staff were courteous, friendly, efficient and responsive. The breakfast menu was acceptable. The King Chef Dimsum Restaurant at the First floor provided a tasty meal as well. Even more important, the hotel was very close (7 minutes) to the center of the city (Burnham Park). I would definitely recommend this hotel.

They have beautiful rooms and nice view during breakfast. I was surprised with how big their room and how classy they are.

The cleanest,smell so nice hotel that we ever had. And Of course THE SWEET SPA the best spa that we ever had. That’s one of reason we Love Baguio and want to visit often ☺️ The Orchard hotel is best packag🤎

The hotel is situated in the heart of baguio city, very close to all the attractions. Strongly recommended!

Great experience! Staff are awesome What would make this an excellent rating? 1. Improve Internet connection in room 3B3. Experienced intermittent connection especially when attended an online meeting 2. Cignal goes to standy mode for 2 consecutive days around 2am 3. Revisit policies of early check in and late check out. Those these were requested with short notice, A. Arrived at the hotel around 5:30am but check in still happened at 3pm. B. Extended online work meeting but late check out was declined.

I was already checked out, The Front desk office called me and informed me that I forgot to pay for the food room service that we ordered which I also oversee, but my point was that I waited for how many minutes because they were already checking my accounting but still wasn't included yet when she cleared me. upon calling she instructed me to deposit via bank transfer and send the proof to their email but the email that she sent was incorrect and kept on bouncing back to me and she kept on calling and following it up if I already pay the balance, which for me its no longer my fault because she has all the time to check my transaction and return to my initial deposit.

Being put in the basement rooms when a big event was happening on the floor above was no good

The hotel is a boutique hotel and the theme/concept is good and has its appeal. We arrive after lunch and was told to wait for available rooms. No exact time was given but the girl at the reception was guessing around 3 which is beyond the standard 2 pm check in time.We waited by the reception area. After an hour I notice a newcomer who was able to check in so I went to the front desk about our room. The girl at the reception looked at me bewildered and ask me my name and seems at a lost. Another girl took over and after going through some papers, told us that we had a room. I wondered what would have happened if I didnt ask about it and just waited for them to approach us. The room is ample sized with an overhead fan which was working well. The beds are comfortable. There was only 1 pillow though which was small. I immediatedly called the reception for additional pillow explaining that I had a medical condition that needed me to be elevated while sleeping. The receptionist says that she will get back to me but doubted there was anything available since they had full occupancy. The girl never got back to me. There was a study table at the corner of the room with access to power supply. There was no AC but this is Baguio so it doesnt matter. THere was no ref. THere was a water boiler but no coffee or tea packs which is chargeable.The bathroom is ample and functions well. Water pressure is strong. There was a pad and a pencil at the side table but the pencil is all worn out. (not sharpened) Breakfast was at the 6th floor of the hotel. It was light and airy with a good view of the city. Choices were not much but food was good with an egg station, a salad bar and bread area. It was serviced buffet. Coffee was self serve and located in a corner of the room. One negative note here is that the sugar and creamer were served in bowls with teaspoons for customer to use. It would been more hygienic if they were in packets. Isnt there a covid protocol regarding this? The physical structure (rooms. function rooms. coffee shop) were quite good and as mentioned appealing. However, service is really poor. From the check in part of our stay, to not getting back to me on my request, to breakfast service where the clean ups were done sloppily, much can be improved on. Our hotels have always been distinguished by good service and hospitality and sadly Orchard is pretty off the chart.

We have mixed emotions about our stay at this hotel. We stayed at one of their balcony supreme rooms, the room is quite spacious and adorned with dainty fixtures and a comfortable and huge bed. The balcony, however, didn’t have anything in it aside from the AC inverter outdoor unit. We were given a room with a view of an abandoned looking building which made it uncomfortable to even look at so we didn’t really see the point in having a balcony in the first place. The room had paper thin walls we literally could hear the alarm clock coming from next door! Unfortunately, there were multiple business conferences happening on the duration of our stay and the participants were very noisy having no consideration whatsoever for other hotel guests. We were so frustrated! We were woken up with unnecessary noise coming from outside even in the wee hours of the night. We also found it weird how they somehow mixed regular hotel guest breakfast with the people attending seminars. Breakfast time is very chaotic, the food was extremely disappointing and staff just couldn’t care less. I asked for a chili oil from the egg counter and had to witness another staff rudely tell the egg staff that she doesn’t know where the chili oil is as she isn’t the one working in the kitchen. What a circus! Security Guard/Concierge were nice and helpful though. Housekeeping staff were also nice and polite one of them even came to apologize because one of the new housekeeping staff accidentally rang our doorbell by mistake. Spa was superb! King Chef offers great selection of chinese food. Front desk/reception was a hit and miss. Overall, the rooms and facilities have so much potential but greatly lacks proper management. For the price, it’s not really worth it. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. I have read other reviews similar to what we have experience and clearly, management isn’t really doing anything to address these issues.
