"the hotel is approximately 8 km from the city center. it is literally by the Nile. every room has Nile view and if seated outside the venue is great. Friendly service, excellent (Nubian style) decoration. The room was spacious, the bedsheets clean and new. however the toilet was not cleaned and remained uncleaned even after we asked to be cleaned. Cleaning standards require an upgrade. breakfast is fair but again cheese, salami, salads should be covered and not exposed to flies."

After checking into the hotel, we had originally planned to have dinner at King Jamaica, but we were too tired to eat, so we opted for dinner at the hotel (our first meal of the day). The hotel dinner was quite expensive. I ordered salmon, but after taking a bite of the diced carrots on the side, I immediately vomited it because it had a sour smell. My boyfriend ordered steak, and that evening, we both suffered from stomach discomfort and diarrhea. My boyfriend ran a high fever the next day, forcing us to cancel our entire trip and stay in the hotel. We called the hotel to explain the situation and requested a thermometer and four bottles of mineral water. When the thermometer arrived, the waiter waited outside for us to return it after we used it. The restaurant waiter also brought the bill when he delivered the four bottles of water. I couldn't help but ask if the hotel had fever-reducing medicine, so they gave us two Panadol tablets. Beyond that, they offered no further explanation, simply saying that the food might have gone bad due to the heat, and that the stay was a poor experience. The waiter, Mostafa, was very warm and friendly, with a contagious smile and thoughtfulness. We left him a tip."
