"Highly highly recommended Location: Super near Gora station very convenient to travel everywhere. There is even direct bus to and fro Gotemba premium outlet, Hakone-Yumoto and Odawara was convenient as well. Ryokan: Check in was great, front desk communicates and explains everything in English clearly. Was able to reserve my 2 night’s dinner upon checking in too. There were free snacks, lounge area with coffee/drinks/ice cream, you can choose your yukata for both male/female, daily nighttime free delicious ramen. Room: Excellent, bed was comfortable and there is an outdoor tub as well. Take note the tub will be filled with hot water instead of hot spring water. There was pyjamas as well. Onsen: There are 3 different outdoor private tubs which will light up when in used (first come first serve basis). We managed to try all 3 and our favourite was the wooden tub, followed by stone tub and lastly the one with 2 tubs (so each person to soak in 1). Queue can be quite long sometimes as this private onsen is popular among couples. To be considerate it is best to use it as quick as possible. Then there is the public onsen with both indoor and outdoor, hot, cold dips and sauna. Hot dips can reach up to 40-42 degrees. There is another human made hot water carbonation onsen which has lesser people since it is not hot spring water. I thoroughly enjoyed all the onsens. Meals: Highly recommend to opt the breakfast and dinner options. Restaurants close very early around 5pm so there are not a lot of dinner options outside the ryokan. Meals were excellent and Japanese Kaiseki style. Very delicious and there was so much food in the course meal. Overall 10/10 experience and I would choose this ryokan on my next trip."

"The location is excellent, making it very convenient for getting around. There's a direct shuttle bus from Odawara Station to the hotel. The Pirate Ship and ropeway are just a five-minute walk away. The hotel staff are very enthusiastic. Although the facilities are a bit dated, the atmosphere is very cozy. The buffet dinner, included in the room rate, is extensive and offers a variety of drinks. However, the menu is pretty much the same every day, so after three days, it can get a bit repetitive."

"Cons: This onsen ryokan is located on a hill, so the location isn't the most convenient. It's quite difficult to explore the onsen town or walk around nearby. Perhaps because it's a smaller onsen, the public bath doesn't have an open-air bath, but the private open-air bath in the room somewhat makes up for it. Pros: The lobby offers expansive mountain views, the hotel interior is new, and the room layout is well-designed. Both dinner and breakfast are above the standard for an onsen ryokan; you can really feel the chef's dedication, not just a typical mass production. I wrote this review mainly to express my gratitude to our server, Ms. Saki Takano. She communicated with us in English and even used a few simple Chinese words to introduce the dishes. When we left, she wrote us a blessing card in Chinese characters. Her sincerity and warmth, without any pretense, truly made us feel at home. Thank you very much."

"Matkalla Hakone Yumoto Station -bussipysäkille kulkee kartion muotoinen bussilinja Sinun tulee ottaa A-kurssin bussi ja jäädä pois Okada-hotellissa, joka on aivan viimeisen pysäkin edessä. Kuljetus maksaa 200 jeniä per aikuinen, vain käteinen, ja kolikoiden vaihto ei ole mahdollista bussissa, joten jos kerrot, he vaihtavat sen sinulle. Kun olet matkustanut bussilla noin 5 minuuttia, nouse Okada-hotellin hissin 8. kerrokseen, mene Hakone no Mori -käytävälle ja siirry sitten ramppia pitkin. Voit syödä Yunosaton toisessa kerroksessa ja tilata muita ruokalistoja yksitellen tai mukaan. Aamiainen on buffet Hakonenomorin kellarissa, ja vaikka se ei ole kovin monipuolinen, se ei ole paha pikapalaksi. "Great service & room!! The location may be a-little inconvenient for people that do not drive. After we check-in, they arranged and provided us a ride to take the cable car (so nice of them!) There is onsen in the room, snacks and amenities. The dinner was so-so for us as we do not eat beef so it was changed to another alternative. Breakfast was great though!"

"This hotel is a paradise in the mountains of Hakone! Traditional style of the rooms - it feels like you are living in a Japanese family. We were prepared a traditional dinner, which was served in our room. It was very tasty and varied! The hotel has 3 onsen: 2 - private, 1 - public. We visited only the private ones (you need to book a time in advance at the reception upon check-in, the visit time is 30 minutes). It was wonderful! The hotel also provides a transfer from and to the nearest train stations. The rooms are clean, cozy, we slept on tatami under soft blankets. The hotel has a relax room. With massage chairs and a very quiet atmosphere. We stayed in this room after visiting the onsen and got great relaxation. And you are also given national clothes for rest and sleep. It is very beautiful and cute. Breakfasts were also in kaiseki style - varied and unusual. The hotel staff is very kind and friendly. this hotel allows tattoo baths. great experience, thank you very much! want to come back again!"

The hotel is filled with artistic flair; the decor and furnishings are tasteful, sophisticated without being ostentatious. "Great hotel. We stayed in a traditional room, a bit unusual - but great for two nights! Shared separate shower for men and women with hot springs. It is possible to order breakfast and dinner, it is better to do this a few days in advance. Clean, towels and robes are changed every day. Very friendly and welcoming staff. The room has everything you need. There is a rack at the reception where you can take brushes, shaving chairs, combs, etc. We got there by public transport more than 50 stops, I like to take a car to travel comfortably. There is a very beautiful lake nearby, the opportunity to sail along it on the 'Ghost Ship' and see Fuji (if you are lucky with the weather). There is a cable car that goes through the Owakudani volcano, where you can try black eggs, see Fuji, etc."
