"One of the top hostels I have stayed at. Everyone was incredibly lovely and went out of their way to make our stay really nice, particularly Firas. They are very helpful about organising day trips and transport to other places in Jordan. The hostel is walking distance from the main sites in Amman yet on a quiet street away from the hustle and bustle, which was nice. The terrace was a lovely place to unwind and meet other travellers in the evening. Overall, Carob Hostel is a wonderful place to stay in Amman, especially if you're looking for a friendly atmosphere and helpful staff. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. We loved it so much that we made sure to come back to Carob for the last night of our trip!"

"Overall, a great stay! The hotel's location is excellent, really a landmark in Amman, and the high-floor views are a huge plus. The room design is modern and trendy, though some details make it feel more like a chic boutique hotel, and the lack of a bathtub was a minor disappointment. The view would be even better if the glass facade were cleaner. All in all, it's definitely a hotel worth experiencing in Amman!"

"Visited as part of an Exoticca organised tour. Stayed first night and last three. Buffet breakfast and dinner were excellent with numerous choices for starter, main and dessert, and plenty of veggie options. Rooms were great and en suite was clean although slight aroma but not bad. First night room was a bit small but had a great room for our last three nights. Just to note that this hotel, along with all of the others that we stayed at, was alcohol free and there were no bars anywhere near. We did locate an off license but it was about 20-25 minutes walk away. There were also no offers of soft drinks at dinner either at this hotel, although they were, including an alcohol free beer, available in the reception lounge."

"This is a genuinely likeable hotel with a good personal touch and nice attention to guests. I was working in Amman and hosting a training event (in the same hotel) and the customer service from both personal and business perspectives was excellent throughout. The surrounding area is quiet and not particularly attractive but the hotel has ample free parking and a well-appointed reception area. The hotel consists of two large blocks connected by a long corridor. On the 8th floor of the second block is the bar/nightclub which was a tad surreal. The main block has spacious and comfortable bedrooms, somewhat traditionally furnished but with excellent touches such as a welcome pack of food on arrival. The general condition was good if a bit careworn. The cuisine was really fine. Breakfast was extensive and really delicious with fresh omelettes and eggs plus a great range of hotel dishes. Fruit availability could be more extensive. Breakfast is served in a huge atrium with a large swimming pool that was a delightful feature - everything light and enhanced by the flowing water. Service throughout was warm and highly professional. This hotel makes a huge effort and this is greatly to be appreciated. On the downside is the pervasive smoking and lack of smoke free zones (including bedrooms) - quite unacceptable in these days. Apart from that, a reliable and professional hotel that ticks most boxes well"
