Mandy and Adie are warm and hospitable and helpful! I definitely recommend Brantfell to other travellers.

Great location for hiking in the area and close to lots of places in Ambleside. Adie was a great host, providing tips about hiking trails and local restaurants. Breakfasts were plentiful with good choices and very well prepared (good options for vegetarians). We purchased packed lunches that were great on our hikes. Room was spacious with comfortable bed. We booked the lodging through Macs Adventures and would definitely stay here again!

Lovely little place very central in Ambleside. Warm welcome from the hosts when we arrived. The modern and stylish room was clean and welll equipt. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic. We will stay here also next time we visit Ambleside. Higly recomended.

Warm welcome, good breakfast, comfy bed Mandy and Ade were really lovely hosts, a warm welcome on arrival and a great breakfast too. Good recommendation for a beer at the Golden Rule, what a great pub. Would happily return for another good nights sleep.

Excellent guest house in the midfle of Ambleside Very clean and comfortable guest house right in the middle of Ambleside, with parking available in a space 100yds away. Great,friendly service and a really good breakfast,freshly prepared. Would def use again

This was our first stay at this property which was very conveniently located within Ambleside. We were warmly welcomed at the properly and had a lovely room, very comfortable and smart. There was plenty of space to store clothes and the bathroom and other room. I have only left off a rating for the Eco-friendliness because I wasn’t really paying attention to this aspect of our stay so isn’t really fair to rate. I didn’t observe anything eco-unfriendly at the property. Our room facilities were excellent. Our hosts were very knowledgeable of the local area and gave us some useful help and advice as well as being very friendly. Breakfast was excellent also. Will definitely visit again.

Just back from a one night stay at Brentfall House. What a lovely place to stay. The room was very nice. Quiet, big comfy bed with dreamy pillows ensured a perfect nights sleep. Bathroom was nice and was spotless. It was great to have somewhere free to park included, as this can be a real problem when Ambleside is busy. This was across the road near public car park so very convenient. I hadn't booked breakfast but was able to order it the day before. As a pescatarian it was so refreshing to have such a good choice of vegetarian and fish breakfast choices. I went for coffee orange juice, croissants, toast, and scrambled egg on a bagel with smoked salmon which was beautifully cooked. What makes this guest house really special is the owners who cater for your every need and make you feel very welcome. I hope to visit again in the not too distant future as this guest house is a little gem!

Had brilliant stay at brantfell house. Aidie & Mandy were excellent hosts. Room was was perfect. Breakfast choice was excellent. Even sorted out car parking for us & had lots of advice on on places to visit during our 2day stay. Hope to visit Brentfell again

Excellent B&B this was our second visit and we have already booked again for next year. Mandy and Adi were Excellent hosts nothing too much trouble and made us feel so welcome. The decor is beautiful and our room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing loved the fresh fruit with yogurt and granola. Lots of options. Would definitely recommend staying here you will not be disappointed.

What a beautiful property this is and only a stones throw from the main centre of Ambleside...the room was lovely very clean and nicely decorated...there is even a bed for your mucky shoes and boots which I thought was a brilliant idea.... stunning place and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again I had room only so I can't comment the food..the owners are wonderful people and nothing is too much trouble and very helpful..a place of tranquility relaxation and very quiet...you will not be disappointed when you visit.

A group of friends and I head up to The Lakes every May. We always stay at Brantfell House. You are always guaranteed a warm welcome from Aidy and Mandy. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. Aidy and Mandy have great local knowledge regarding walks and places to eat. There is a good choice of breakfast and the food is well cooked and beautifully presented. Parking is less than a minutes walk away and is a real boon bearing in mind parking can difficult in Ambleside. Brantfell House is just on the edge of town, across from a lovely park and a short walk to the pubs and restaurants. It's a lovely place to stay and run by a lovely couple. We've already booked for next year

What a gem of a place! Ideally located for the bars and restaurants in Ambleside and at the same time ideally situated for exploring the area on foot or by local bus. We had a beautiful room with a large bed and plenty of space. Everything was just perfect. The breakfast was excellent and our every whim catered for. The packed lunch was very well put together and great value for money. Ordered the night before at the same time as the breakfast and was ready for our adventures in the morning. Mandy and Aid were great and helped us with routes and suggestions of sightseeing. They were very friendly and welcoming.
