Location: Excellent location. About 800m from Kyoto Station. You can walk through an indoor connected mall and station, making it safe and convenient even with luggage. Cleanliness: The bed is comfortable and the toilet is very clean. Service: Staff are a mix of Japanese and international, able to speak both English and Japanese. Facilities: Lifts are fast and responsive. Water dispenser available, please bring your own bottle. Convenience: Very well equipped. AEON Mall is 100m away and Lawson is 200m away. Overall: The hotel uses central air conditioning, which may not be ideal if you prefer a colder room. However, the hotel provided a Dyson portable fan, which made the room comfortable and allowed for good sleep. Well done Miyako Hotel. I will definitely return.

Stayed at the Mitsui Garden Hotel Kawaramachi Jokyoji from 20-24 Dec. This was my 2nd stay there in 2 consecutive months, despite there being hundreds of hotels in Kyoto.  Location:  the hotel is located in the city center with Nishiki Market and Teramachi indoor shopping street located very closeby. Kawaramachi is also a big commercial street lined with plethora of shops and malls.  Train stations within walking distance.  Hotel Facilities and Amenities:  this is a very beautiful hotel next to a temple (and small cemetery). The rooms are exemplary clean and quite spacious for Japan’s standard. Many facilities such as a public onsen, on-site restaurant, vending machine, ice machine, etc. No gym, which is not a big deal at all if you are in Kyoto for a short tourist visit.  You will be doing a lot of walking anyway if you choose to.   I only visited the on-site restaurant for dinner once. The food was okay, but nothing to write home about. Service staff was accommodating (I had to use a wheelchair at the time); however, service was lackluster otherwise.   Hotel staff service:  cannot praise the service by the hotel staff enough. This time around, I had injured my foot and couldn’t walk for 2 days. I was touched by the staff’s incredible kindness - they went out of their way to really help me out. Overall:  if you want city center location with easy access to modern shops and an array of restaurants within walking distance, big and super clean room, and great hospitality,  I’d highly recommend this hotel.

Pysyisin ehdottomasti täällä uudelleen! Hotellissa on pesukone ja kuivausrumpu, joita voit käyttää ilmaiseksi. Myös myyntiautomaatti, jos haluat saada virvokkeita tai jotain. Mutta hotelli tarjoaa vettä ja pesuallasvesi on myös juomakelpoista. Ainoa haittapuoli on, että voit helposti kuulla ihmiset käytävällä, varsinkin jos olet pohjakerroksessa, jossa aula on.

Hotelli sijaitsee erinomaisella paikalla neljällä bisnesalueella. Alakerrassa on täydelliset mukavuudet, kuten FamilyMart ja Fresco. Se on kävelymatkan päässä Shijon metroasemalta, ja kunnallinen bussi on aivan alakerrassa, joten on erittäin kätevää mennä Kiyomizudera-temppeliin. Huonevarustelu on melko täydellinen ja tila on suhteellisen tilava Japanissa. Varaamamme päähotellin keskikokoiseen parivuoteeseen mahtuu itse asiassa jopa 3 henkilöä, mikä parantaa huomattavasti mukavuutta Syyskuu on suhteellisen sesongin ulkopuolella, joten 500 plus yksi yö on todella hyvä hinta. Ensimmäisessä kerroksessa on kuumalähdekylpy, vaikka se on pieni, mutta se on avoinna myöhään ja voi imeä päivän väsymyksen. Ihonhoito- ja elämäntapatuotteita saa myös halutessaan aulassa. On erittäin suositeltavaa yöpyä tässä Kiotossa sijaitsevassa hotellissa, mikä on erittäin kustannustehokasta

This was our favourite hotel in Japan. The location is very central to Kyoto, but did not feel too crowded and overwhelming. It was very easy to get around Kyoto from this hotel, with a lot of train stations close by. The room was clean and bigger than most hotels I’ve stayed in during my trip to Japan. The finishes of the room are just gorgeous. It really feels like luxury. The smart TVs were a nice touch too. The amenities of the spa were really good, and I loved the extra feeling of security knowing women receive a women only key card and men receive a separate one. Nice touch having washers, dryers and vending machines too. The staff are kind and polite and are more than happy to assist you. Although I did find the self check-in a bit confusing - some translations were a bit off. Regardless, I really recommend this hotel.

Fantastic hotel, great amenities, great onsen, very good staff, and very nice breakfast buffet. We had a two single beds reservation and asked if they could put the two together to make one large bed... they said ok, and upgraded us to a larger room... we are very grateful to the front desk lady and the staff. The hotel has a superbe top deck with a nice view all over Kyoto. The Kyoto aquarium is 9 minutes away on foot from the hotel, and their is a bridge from the hotel straight to the JR station. We will book it again.

Although we arrived late at the hotel, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the onset is open 24 hours, offering clear and warm hot baths. The relaxing atmosphere, with massage chairs to help ease the stress from a long flight, made us feel comforted. Its convenient location within walking distance is a great plus; I highly recommend it.

I had a great stay at Agora Kyoto Karasuma. The hotel has a calm, elegant atmosphere, and the rooms are thoughtfully designed with a minimalist Japanese style that feels both modern and cozy. The location is perfect, close to transportation, shops, and great local restaurants, which made getting around Kyoto very convenient. The staff were kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed. Their hospitality made the experience even better. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I would definitely choose Agora Kyoto Karasuma again on my next visit to Kyoto.
