"The location of the hotel is very convenient - 10 min walk away from the convention centre. The train station and bus station is nearby and the walk to the nearby turbocat makes the hotel in a prime location for transport. The front desk was efficient and pleasant. Although I check in early and the rooms were not ready, they were nice to allow us to use the facilites on the 21st floor to relax and shower. Also on the 21st floor is the rooftop bar which has the best views of South bank and the skyline.
The Vista King Suite was a huge room with large bathroom sitting area and the bed was super comfortable. It took me awhile to find the door, which was hidden behind a glass door enclosure to block out noise. Housekeeping was efficient and meticulous. Breakfast was either in the cafe on G/F or the 21st floor. Servings were hearty and filling from the a la carte menu."

"The location is superb. It located right at the CBD. Very easy to get around. The service was fast especially the check in process. We arrived early and got check in very fast. We complain about the cleanliness and staff was attentive upon the request we made. The staff were very nice.We got a free upgrade from 13th floor to 21st floor. The downside is that the bedsheet and pillowcase change was very slow and we waited until 11 pm even though we made request before 4 pm. The free buffet is also very average."

"Such a classic old hotel, with gorgeous views and spacious rooms and bathrooms. The location is convenient, with plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from and it is right next to the river and gardens.
The only negative was though we had a great check in experience, it was very inconsistent across our group. Despite 2pm check-in, one couple still didn’t have a room at 3.15pm.
I’d stay again to check out the facilities as we didn’t have time on this occasion."

"Living Room bar is a must to visit !! Tony and his colleagues were super hospitable, mixed us most of the menu items, and our favourites were the Beet-ness and Espresso 2.0. We stayed for only the one night on the 19th floor and thought the view at night was great. Waking up to see so much of Brisbane in the morning was a real surprise. Breakfast Buffet menu options were vast, however we chose from the à la carte menu paired with some fantastic coffees to start the day."

"The service was excellent. Check-in was at 3pm, but we managed to get into the room at 2pm. The concierge carried the bags directly to our rooms while we were out having lunch and waiting to check in. The bed is incredibly comfortable. My only complaint would be the pillow and the need for more electrical points, especially at the bedside table, so we can charge and check our phones. The current outlets are too low and hidden behind furniture.

It dawned on me, what really sets a hotel above others, & I have concluded . . . genuine hospitality (with a special mention to Brody) whom epitomises genuine hospitality. After a long night of travel arriving late (due to unforeseen circumstances), Brody was so lovely. She felt more like an old friend than staff. She went above & beyond to meet our needs & sets this beautifully designed & artfully styled hotel apart from the others. The hotel offers beautiful all day little snacks such as freshly baked cookies, muffins, shortbread, and much more. ☺️"

The location is a bit far - it take a good 15 mins walk to likely everywhere in Cairns city center. However it is one of the newest hotel in the town and could give you a good and fair service. The buildings in the hote and the pool is beautiful. When you walk around the town you will find all big brands hotel in the world but they all looks like historical buildings.

I love their balcony that you can enjoy the sea view :) The open kitchen is nice that they even salt and pepper! We made nice pasta and breakfast in the hotel! however, the blanket and the pillow is quite old and got a little bit blood stain on it . anyways nice stay there as it is so near to the busy area- surfers paradise!

RRoxrctWe booked The Langham on the Gold Coast for our honeymoon. It is a nice hotel but I can honestly say it is not worth the over $550 per night we paid. I’ve listed positives and negatives below:
Positives:
- there was a nice note and small chocolate slice in the room wishing us a lovely honeymoon
- Staff are very friendly/welcoming
- Ocean view was amazing from the hotel room
- facilities - gymnasium was fully equipped with a view of the ocean/beach
- Bathtub was lovely
- Easy access to the beach
Negatives:
- There were stains on the sheets. When we arrived I noticed two stains in separate places on the sheets (note: they were dry stains). I went down to reception and they said they’d send housekeeping up to change the sheets. As advised, a woman arrived to change the sheets. Unfortunately, I didn’t check the new sheets and there were stains on those as well. I went back down to reception and they said they’d send a supervisor up again to look at the sheets. Two staff came to the room, apologised and changed the sheets again (this time I checked). The hotel gave us a bottle of wine, some lip balm and pillow spray which was a nice gesture as an apology, however, multiple stained sheets for what is meant to be a 5 star hotel is very disappointing.
- The pre-authorisation amount (hold) when checking in is $200 a day, so $1,000 for a 5 night stay. This is ridiculously high. I don’t know why they hold that much considering most hotels, even 5 star hotels I’ve stayed in, hold $100-200 for a stay. On a positive note it did come back into my account straight away at check-out

VVieraskäyttäjäThis hotel is centrally located on the esplanade, and this is its main plus. In everything else, in my view, it loses out to the Hilton , to which I moved after a few days. My room smelled to the extent it made me feel unwell. The two swimming pools they boast are a joke. In the first glass pool, you are fully exhibited to everyone on the esplanade, which is why no one swims. In the second one you can't swim if there's anyone else in the pool, it's that narrow. The spa is a private massage joint. I was given a parking spot with no remote the first day, and allowed to park as an exception - their parking is too small to accomidate a hotel of this size. It has no ev charging. The breakfast is nowhere as good as the Hiltons. In any case I fixed all these problems by moving.

It’s clear the hotel has been recently refurbished , the rooms were immaculate, the bed super comfortable, and the colour scheme made the whole space feel both calming and stylish. The appliances and amenities were spot on too. The location was perfect: central, but tucked just far enough from the noise. Staff were very professional, and overall I’m extremely happy with my stay. I’ll definitely consider coming back next time.

Hotelli itsessään? Upea. Piha-alue? Koskematon. Ei voi olla sanomattakin selvää, että paikka on todella ihana!
Mutta sitten… keskusteluun tuli siivous.
En tiedä, oliko heillä pulaa miehityksestä vai vastustivatko he vain henkisesti johdonmukaisuutta, mutta siivous oli vähemmän ”huolellista ylläpitoa” ja enemmän ”epämääräistä ehdotusta”. Joka päivä oli uusi jakso Mitä he unohtavat tällä kertaa? Pyyhkeet? Ehkä. Roskakorit? Kuka tietää. Saippuaa? Se on ilmeisesti vain tiistaisin saatavilla oleva luksus.
Yhtenä päivänä sänky oli pedattu, mutta lavuaareihin ja peileihin ei selvästikään ollut koskettu. Toisena päivänä he jättivät siivousvälineensä kylpyhuoneeseen – joten ainakin jonkin verran nähtiin vaivaa, eikö niin? Suihkun lattia pysyi ikuisesti hiekkaisena, viehättävä pieni muurahaisekosysteemi asettui leiriin keittiöömme, ja lopuksi: palasimme päivältä, jonka vietimme tutkien upeaa Daintreetä, ja huomasimme huoneemme oven olevan auki. Kiitos, siivouspalvelu. Todella unohtumaton.
Viidentenä päivänä en ollut edes vihainen, olin aivan innoissani. Oliko tämä performanssia? Olimmeko osa sosiaalista kokeilua? Tästäkö minimalismi alkaa?
