It was a nice stayed at Sofitel! Front of house staff were lovely and informative about the area and the restaurant (good customer service). We just wanted to drop our luggage at the hotel first and check in later but luckily the reception provide the room for us immediately and let us check in early which made our trip easier. Thank you so much! The location was close to everything! Probably go back again! Thank you!

This is a hotel that up to standard - it may not be the best in the world but I believe it is one of the best in Cairns. The location is a bit far - it take a good 15 mins walk to likely everywhere in Cairns city center. However it is one of the newest hotel in the town and could give you a good and fair service. The buildings in the hote and the pool is beautiful. When you walk around the town you will find all big brands hotel in the world but they all looks like historical buildings.

The amenities are fabulous, they got swimming pool and spa! Gym is nice too with the sea view ~ For the room, the view is spontaneous! I love their balcony that you can enjoy the sea view :) The open kitchen is nice  that they even salt and pepper! We made nice pasta and breakfast in the hotel! however, the blanket and the pillow is quite old and got a little bit blood stain on it . anyways nice stay there as it is so near to the busy area- surfers paradise!

I think this is one of the best Marriot hotels I stayed. It has a beautiful lagoon and facilities and services are good. Two tram stops away from surfers paradise. View is from the room is also nice.

We booked The Langham on the Gold Coast for our honeymoon. It is a nice hotel but I can honestly say it is not worth the over $550 per night we paid. I’ve listed positives and negatives below: Positives: - there was a nice note and small chocolate slice in the room wishing us a lovely honeymoon - Staff are very friendly/welcoming - Ocean view was amazing from the hotel room - facilities - gymnasium was fully equipped with a view of the ocean/beach - Bathtub was lovely - Easy access to the beach Negatives: - There were stains on the sheets. When we arrived I noticed two stains in separate places on the sheets (note: they were dry stains). I went down to reception and they said they’d send housekeeping up to change the sheets. As advised, a woman arrived to change the sheets. Unfortunately, I didn’t check the new sheets and there were stains on those as well. I went back down to reception and they said they’d send a supervisor up again to look at the sheets. Two staff came to the room, apologised and changed the sheets again (this time I checked). The hotel gave us a bottle of wine, some lip balm and pillow spray which was a nice gesture as an apology, however, multiple stained sheets for what is meant to be a 5 star hotel is very disappointing. - The pre-authorisation amount (hold) when checking in is $200 a day, so $1,000 for a 5 night stay. This is ridiculously high. I don’t know why they hold that much considering most hotels, even 5 star hotels I’ve stayed in, hold $100-200 for a stay. On a positive note it did come back into my account straight away at check-out

This hotel is centrally located on the esplanade, and this is its main plus. In everything else, in my view, it loses out to the Hilton , to which I moved after a few days. My room smelled to the extent it made me feel unwell. The two swimming pools they boast are a joke. In the first glass pool, you are fully exhibited to everyone on the esplanade, which is why no one swims. In the second one you can't swim if there's anyone else in the pool, it's that narrow. The spa is a private massage joint. I was given a parking spot with no remote the first day, and allowed to park as an exception - their parking is too small to accomidate a hotel of this size. It has no ev charging. The breakfast is nowhere as good as the Hiltons. In any case I fixed all these problems by moving.

I was honestly blown away by this stay. It’s clear the hotel has been recently refurbished , the rooms were immaculate, the bed super comfortable, and the colour scheme made the whole space feel both calming and stylish. The appliances and amenities were spot on too. The location was perfect: central, but tucked just far enough from the noise. Staff were very professional, and overall I’m extremely happy with my stay. I’ll definitely consider coming back next time.

Aloitan sanomalla – tämä paikka näyttää viiden tähden lomakeskukselta, ja rehellisesti sanottuna se melkein onnistuukin siinä. Vastaanotosta maisemointiin tunnelma on moitteeton. Vastaanoton henkilökunta? Ehdottomia ammattilaisia. Lämmin, tehokas ja vieraanvarainen. Hotelli itsessään? Upea. Piha-alue? Koskematon. Ei voi olla sanomattakin selvää, että paikka on todella ihana! Mutta sitten… keskusteluun tuli siivous. En tiedä, oliko heillä pulaa miehityksestä vai vastustivatko he vain henkisesti johdonmukaisuutta, mutta siivous oli vähemmän ”huolellista ylläpitoa” ja enemmän ”epämääräistä ehdotusta”. Joka päivä oli uusi jakso Mitä he unohtavat tällä kertaa? Pyyhkeet? Ehkä. Roskakorit? Kuka tietää. Saippuaa? Se on ilmeisesti vain tiistaisin saatavilla oleva luksus. Yhtenä päivänä sänky oli pedattu, mutta lavuaareihin ja peileihin ei selvästikään ollut koskettu. Toisena päivänä he jättivät siivousvälineensä kylpyhuoneeseen – joten ainakin jonkin verran nähtiin vaivaa, eikö niin? Suihkun lattia pysyi ikuisesti hiekkaisena, viehättävä pieni muurahaisekosysteemi asettui leiriin keittiöömme, ja lopuksi: palasimme päivältä, jonka vietimme tutkien upeaa Daintreetä, ja huomasimme huoneemme oven olevan auki. Kiitos, siivouspalvelu. Todella unohtumaton. Viidentenä päivänä en ollut edes vihainen, olin aivan innoissani. Oliko tämä performanssia? Olimmeko osa sosiaalista kokeilua? Tästäkö minimalismi alkaa? Joten joo, upea hotelli, virheetön vastaanotto, mutta siivouspalvelu? Hittolainen! Huoneiden kaihtimet ovat likaiset, eikä läpikuultavia verhoja päiväsaikaan ole. Palaisinko? Ehkä.
