29.12. to 5.1.Flooding suspends services between Liskeard and LooeJakso:Maanantai 29. joulukuuta 2025 to Maanantai 5. tammikuuta 2026Palveluntarjoajat:Great Western RailwayAiheeseen liittyvää tietoa:Flooding of the railway line between Liskeard and Looe means that all lines are closed. As a result of this, trains running between these stations will be cancelled. Disruption is expected until the end of the day on Monday 5 January. Please note there is no service today (Sunday 28 December) or on Sunday 4 January. Customer advice: Rail replacement transport (provided by A2B minibus) will depart Liskeard and Looe at the train times and will call at Sandplace, in both directions. Please wait for the minibus at the rail replacement bus stops. The replacement road transport may run later than the advertised train times as a result of the additional time taken by road between stations, and the time needed for loading and unloading at each stop. If you are travelling from Coombe Junction Halt, St Keyne Wishing Well Halt or Causeland, please use the customer help point or contact National Rail Enquiries on 03457 484 950 detailing the total number of passengers in your party and your intended destination. You may use your ticket, at no extra cost, on Go Cornwall Bus route 73 between Liskeard (bus stops on the main road adjacent to the station entrance), St Keyne (community centre), Sandplace (station) and Looe (bus stops on main road opposite the station). Additional information: Great Western Railway are working with Network Rail to be able to re-open the line. The water levels have dropped and Network Rail now need to inspect the bridges to ensure that the flooding has not caused any damage to the structures. As parts of the bridges below the water level need to be inspected, specialist divers are required. However, there are no divers available until 4 January 2026. Check before you travel: You can check your journey today and up to and including Friday 2 January using the National Rail Enquiries real-time Journey Planner. For journeys from Saturday 3 to Monday 5 January please check back at a later date. As a result, trains running between these stations may be cancelledm, delayed or diverted. Disruption is expected until 07:00. Customer advice: Southern Services that run between Eastbourne / Ore and London Victoria will be disrupted this morning. Southern services that run from Eastbourne / Ore towards London Victoria will be diverted into Brighton and then will run to Haywards Heath and terminate, meanings Cooksbridge and Plumpton will not be served. If you require these locations, you will need to go to Haywards Heath and change there for services back to one of these stations in order to complete your journey. Please allow an extra 30 minuets to complete this journey. Please change at Haywards Heath for services continuing on towards London. Services from London Victoria towards Eastbourne / Ore may also run at a reduced speed in the Plumpton area but will continue the journey as normal. If you are travelling this morning, please check Station CIS screens or Journey Planners for more travel information. Planning your journey: You can see the live departure boards, and view a live map of the network. You can also view an alternative route guide. If you're travelling in the London area, you can plan journeys on alternative routes by using the TfL Journey Planner. You can use the Southern app to find up-to-date information. Can you tell me more about the incident? Network Rail have informed us of a caballing issue in the Plumpton area where trains need to be "talked past" signals in both directions. Trains on the up direction (towards London) require talking past 3 signals which means services will be amended. Trains on the down (towards Lewes) require talking past 1 signal and may pick up some delays. The cabling issue has also affected the level crossing barriers in the same area where trains will have to run at a reduced speed over the level crossing. Network rail response teams are on site and are investigating the fault.
