Our stay at Prayana Hotel in Ernakulam was overall a really good experience, mainly because of the warm hospitality and excellent service provided by the staff. Right from the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome. The welcome drink was a refreshing touch, setting the tone for a pleasant stay. The reception team was efficient and courteous, handling check-in smoothly and ensuring we had all the necessary details about our stay. A special mention to the bellboys, who were extremely helpful and always had a smile on their faces. Their attentiveness made a great impression. The hotel’s location is a big plus. It is conveniently situated, making it easy to get around the city, whether for sightseeing, shopping, or business. The accessibility and surroundings added to the overall positive experience. While we truly appreciated the service, there were a few areas that could be improved. The restaurant at the bottom of the hotel didn’t offer much variety in terms of food options, which was a bit disappointing. It would have been great to have more choices, especially for those staying longer. The rooms did not have kettles, which is something many travellers look forward to for a quick cup of tea or coffee. Bathing cubes (shower enclosures) were missing, making the bathroom experience a little less convenient. We also faced an issue with towels not being provided even after requesting them, which was a small letdown. That being said, the staff’s dedication and the overall comfort of the stay overshadowed these minor inconveniences. Their attentiveness, polite behaviour, and willingness to help made all the difference. Despite a few missing amenities, the hospitality and prime location make Prayana Hotel a great choice for travellers. We appreciate the warmth and care shown to us and would definitely consider staying again in the future!

We were in Kovalam at this property for a week. First things first, the rooms we got were nice, had a decent balcony overlooking the front of the property, the air conditioning and hot water worked well. It is really close to a wonderful beach, some small shops and local food joints and only a short walk away from a quiet beach and spots that you could enjoy. The property itself had a lot of work going on, so I can understand that they were preparing for a major tourist season and it might become better. The pool was dry and I was hoping that I'd get to enjoy some pool time but that did not happen. Perhaps due to the low tourist season, the restaurant had limited dish choices but the food was good. The staff is very sweet and nice but the hotel can do with some more thorough upgrades with housekeeping, such as providing fresh towels timely and so on. Otherwise, the hotel is nice but my family and I felt that for the price we paid, we could have gotten more for the price. Nevertheless, it is a good and decent hotel, I wouldn't keep high expectations. It will certainly get 10/10 for it's location and sweet staff. This is not to reflect on the hotel management or staff directly or negatively but it would be nice if they set ground rules for some big tourist groups they get, particularly the Gujarati tour groups, in reminding them of maintaining the calm and quiet on the property. Again, it is more about the tourist behavior than anything on the hotel itself.

We had two nights stay at picturesque ILLKKALAM LAKESIDE COTTAGE right on the banks of the lake and were. pleasantly surprised as the nature unfolded before us. Good location with good facilities and access to all amenities surrounded by organic farm , nature at its best. Good service through out and personalised care by friendly staff. Freshly cooked homemade tasty food served to your room and relax in front of the room looking over the lake with boats passing by and beautiful sunset views. The best part was the relaxed private sunset boat ride on the lake for two of us with stunning views starting right in front of our cottage. Susan Salin and team have done a wonderful job in making avail of this wonderful property for fortunate few like us. Special thanks to Asha and Arjun who were always helpful and giving us information of local tours and cultures. Not to forget those amazing cooks who cooked meals as per our taste We will definitely going to return and recommend to our friends to visit ILLKKALAM LAKESIDE COTTAGES Thanks once again for serving is the best treat Keep it up 💕🙏😍

The facilities and site are beautiful and well-maintained. However, there were a few shortcomings that one shouldn't expect at this price point. I didn't like that the TV automatically comes on every time the room's central power turns off and on again; as a result, when there was a brief power outage in the middle of the night, the TV came on and woke me up. At breakfast the restaurant staff left a lot of the used dishes on the tables, such that when I came for breakfast circa 9:30, there was only one clean table available (and almost nobody else dining), which was visually unappealing. When they asked if needed anything in the restaurant, on two different occasions I requested chopped ginger or cardamom powder to add to my tea / coffee, and they replied ”yes sir” and then seemingly forgot. Overall, the experience was good, but it fell short of a five-star experience.

The hotel is located near Kochi Airport, about a 5-10 minute walk from the airport. The hotel has 24-hour security and staff. From the entrance to the restaurant, the service staff were all very friendly and welcoming! The hotel signage is clearly marked, parking is very convenient, there's a pharmacy next door, and shops are about a 10-minute walk away. The surrounding environment is relatively quiet. The room was generally clean and spacious, but there was no hairdryer, and the shower gel and shampoo looked used and a bit dirty, making us hesitant to use them. Furthermore, the hotel included airport transfer in the booking, but we received no response despite repeated inquiries on the day of check-in. So, although we filled out the form, this service was not offered. On the day of arrival at the airport, we used Uber to get to the hotel. If the hotel does not offer this service, please do not make the form available; it will cause inconvenience!

This hotel is only barely a 3 star because it had free tea & coffee on tap and an excellent power shower. Otherwise it would have been 2 stars because: Whilst the floor was clean, everything else wasn’t! The glasses still had ash from cigarettes in them, everything at eye level was pretty dirty. The bed was so uncomfortable as you felt every coil. The pillows are rock hard too so you ache when you get out of bed in the morning. The towels had been washed but had brown patches (perhaps not hot enough) and there were cigarette burns on the bedding and bedside table. No mosquito repellent either. I would not stay here again even though it was very cheap.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The location is near the pine forest entrance, only walking distance from the hotel. The stone built hotel's architecture is a visual treat. Location is very good. The entire property and the view from the room balcony is beautiful. There is a pond and it's nice to watch. Food is good. Not impressed with the buffet dinner. Ala carte was good. Ghee roast in the breakfast and nadan chicken curry in the dinner was very good 👍. They have a good amount of parking space. The only problem is that the road connecting the hotel and the main road is congested, full of small shops as it is the same road that leads to pine forest entrance. If another vehicle is coming from the side of the hotel, then we need to go back to main road as the road is very narrow. But, once we reach the hotel we have good parking facility. You can contact the hotel before getting into the sub road towards the hotel so that they can arrange security. All the tourist spots can be easily accessed from the hotel location. 5 stars for the location of the hotel.

The hotel is located in 5-10 minute walk from the beach. The beach is very comfortable for swimming. The hotel is really very quite, there are really no noisy places around. It is possible to have lunch and dinner in the hotel restaurant. So it is a nice quite place for a few days for the sea and relax.
