Wonderful hotel! We stayed in the Glacier Castle section of the hotel. Our room was a polar bear theme, which was a sea view room. When the tv comes on there is a welcome greeting saying our names. Enjoyed seeing the sun setting. Map of location of hotel on the island and map of hotel included here.  The breakfast buffet was amazing. A large variety of food for breakfast.  Ate supper at the supper buffet one night. Expensive for us, but had all types of food including the hot pot at our table. So yummy! The restaurant staff very nice! The hotel staff was friendly and probably a little shocked seeing Americans, but they smiled and greeted us. Pulled out the phone to translate when we checked in. We are used to doing that, too.😁 We received a welcome gift our first night, too.  If you are planning to visit the part of Hainan, we highly recommend The Castle Hotel!

Hilton Wenchang offers an opportunity to discover another curious side of Hainan. We could see Wenchang Space Launch site directly from our balcony. The beach was nearby, and we watched sunrises and sunsets there. The swimming pool was spotless clean, although only one pool out of there was open due to a low number of guests. A couple scenic spots are very close too, about 10 min drive. There has been a delicious breakfast every morning. The staff was polite and helpful. Jason He helped us with multiple needs, such as ordering medicine, finding restaurants, and booking a shuttle bus to Wenchang railway station. The latter is free, just need to book it in advance for a certain time period.

Very nice facilities with hot springs, good breakfast, a wonderful Russian speaker LAN (super helpful and welcoming). There is an awesome park nearby with a small via ferrata at the top and a super beautiful waterfall mid way up the mountain (I bathed there). Really highly recommend that hike. There is nothing else around the hotel so it is good for 2 nights

very comfortable hotel with large rooms and bathroom. location is convenient but the road in from is pretty congested during peak hours. the mall behind the hotel looks deserted. walk to mixc mall took less than 10 mins but you'll need to cross two big roads. TV needs improvement as the control is not responsive. Separately booked hotel breakfast at the counter and it costs 98 RMB for two adults which is very affordable for the decent spread of standard hotel breakfasts. they also had special pillows on request. room also had a nespresso machine though capsules provided were not nespresso branded.

The hotel was spotless clean and comfortable. The room price included lunch, afternoon tea, and late night noodles. Kids loved it. The 19th floor on the roof was a cosy little spot. The pool wasn’t working during the time we stayed but seemed nice on the top floor. Only thing is when checking in it would have been nice if they had a sheet in english explaining the time and meal/package inclusions and whether children had to pay or could enter. Only found info on inclusions from my trip.com booking page.

It's technically walking distance from the railway station. We did walk there to book railway tickets, but had to take a DiDi with the luggage. The room was spacious and AC worked great. It's a basic place to stay.

We stayed in the family theme room and were very impressed! It was spacious, with one king-size bed and a super single bed—almost 130cm wide, which comfortably fit our family of two adults and two children. The location is also very convenient, close to several shopping plazas and restaurants. The hotel provides a free self-service laundry room, but you’ll need to collect a voucher from the front desk first. Overall, it was a great experience. Check-in and check-out were smooth. Special thanks to the front desk staff, 小进, who kindly arranged a late check-out for us and even reminded us about an item we had left behind. Much appreciated!

Location:Extremely convenient with breathtaking views. Room: Upgraded to a seaview apartment suite. The shower drain in my previous room had a minor issue. Manager Grace Wang from the Front Office patiently and meticulously resolved it. She even added me on WeChat to follow up—truly professional. Thank you! Breakfast: On 33/F. Stunning view. Decent overall. Highly recommend the noodle station and waffles. Service: Far better than the unsmiling Sofitel next door. Staff were courteous, kind, and tactful across all departments, including the Chinese restaurant staff on 4/F. True Hospitality: - Grace sent a beautiful birthday fruit platter for my family member’s celebration. - Proactively followed up during our stay to ensure a flawless, pleasant experience. I stayed another three days after returning from Xinglong. Felt homey and cozy throughout. Overall, exceptional value, highly professional service. Absolutely worth returning.

We booked this hotel thinking it would be a luxury experience comparable to the other 5 star properties nearby, but it fell flat of our expectations. The decor while grand at first glance, is best caught on camera only as the scale of the hotel is not large. The ground floor and lobby is very small, and corridors are narrow and tired-looking. The room itself, apart from the bathroom also does no boast anything spectacular. The view itself is quite nice if you are lucky to get a good room. Breakfast is mediocre at best, definitely not worth paying for. Most of it are carb options with very limited choices of anything else. That would have been fine, but the food itself tastes bad as well. Amenities are equally lacking, the pool is located through a convoluted path of suspicious doors, one would be hard pressed to find it by themselves. Apart from that and a tiny gym, there’s nothing much else the hotel has to offer. It’s also noteworthy that the hotel doesn’t occupy the whole building. Half of the premises is actually an office building, diluting the prestige of a Langham even further. Suffice it to say, we will not recommend staying here, unless the priority is to take pretty photos with the decor.

I booked three rooms and stayed at Mission Hills Resort for five nights, where we were served by the duty manager, Mary, throughout our stay. We were given a complimentary room upgrade, and Mary also helped ensure that our group was located near each other, making it much more convenient for us. I’m especially for her effort in helping us locate a farm around the resort and for reaching out proactively before the trip. She even shared her contacts and responded to some of my queries after office hours, which truly shows her dedication to her work. Although some parts of the resort are a bit dated and seemed to be undergoing maintenance, it didn’t really affect the overall experience. For the rooms It would be even better if a drawdown curtain or privacy screen could be added to the bathing area or toilet, making it more convenient for larger groups like mine. This resort is ideal for families with young kids or anyone looking for a great parent–child bonding (亲子游) experience. There’s a mini pet house with cute and lively animals where children can get up close and cozy with them. The Children’s Club — Squirrel Village offers a wide variety of daily activities for parent–child bonding. My kids especially enjoyed the activities led by the young and energetic team of hosts (可爱, 葡萄, 糖果, 西瓜, 猩猩, 鳄鱼, and others). They loved it so much that I gave up some of our original itinerary just to let them stay longer, and they’re still humming and reminiscing about the songs and moments from the club. If I travel to Haikou again, I would certainly return to Mission Hills and include a few more days at the Squirrel Club to spend quality time with my child. As mentioned in other reviews, we were also served a delicious pot of dessert every night — a thoughtful and warm gesture that added an extra special touch to our stay. Thank you, Mission Hills Resort, and especially Mary and her Squirrel team, for making our trip so memorable despite the aging facilities. The kids in our group truly had a wonderful and enjoyable time at the resort, and we’ll cherish these moments for a long time. If i am ever travelling back to Hai Kou for 亲子游, I would stay in Mission Hills purely for the Squirrel Children’s Club activities. Ps, the resort actually had some additional in-room items that could be loaned and i feel that it would be better if they could share ongoing promotions.
