"The location is good. It's by the Red River and it's strategically located less than 1km away from the Chinese-Vietnamese border. There're many convenience stores, restaurants, and coffee shops which make it very convenient. The room is spacious and clean. The staff, although not very proficient in English, did try their best to communicate with me. The limited breakfast options is the only ”wish could be better” for me but this is more than made up for by just how cheap their room rates are! As a business traveler, this hotel goes on my list of preferred vendors."

"we’re bill bensley obsessives. have been for years. so when de la coupole opened in sapa, it was never a question of if — only when and how many times. the answer so far: twice. and we brought our tour groups both times. now, the honest part: GETTING THERE is an ordeal. first time — sleeping bus from hanoi. the driver treated mountain serpentines like a personal vendetta. not an experience i’d repeat. second time — luxury minivans from halong bay. six-plus hours. our guests arrived exhausted, slightly broken, questioning their life choices. and then they walked into the lobby. worth it. every kilometer. the hotel itself is everything bensley promises and then some. each room category has its own personality — we’ve stayed across all of them, including the grand suite. no two feel the same. the staff what makes de la coupole genuinely special is that the difficult access functions as a FILTER. the guests who make it there want to be there. that changes the energy of the whole place. will we return? already planning it."

"We spent the first two days of our trip staying in town at Sa Pa, and for the next two nights we moved slightly out of town to Hotel DeLaMont. The hotel is located about a 10-minute drive from the town center, perched high on a hill overlooking the valley. One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was precisely for that spectacular valley view, which is said to be among the best in Sa Pa. Unfortunately, during our stay, the weather fully lived up to Sa Pa’s nickname as the “City in the Fog.” Thick fog rolled in every day, and visibility was sometimes close to zero—especially on the darker roads without streetlights while our Grab drivers navigated the winding hills. Thankfully, on the morning of our final day, the clouds finally lifted a little and we were blessed with a partial glimpse of the breathtaking valley view we had been hoping for. Our room was spacious and very clean. The bed was essentially two super single beds pushed together, which meant you could feel the gap in the middle while sleeping. It’s not the most comfortable setup, but still manageable for a short stay. The minibar follows the usual hotel practice—aside from complimentary water, tea, and coffee, the rest of the items are chargeable. One thing we appreciated was the smart TV. We spent some relaxing time listening to music and watching travel videos on YouTube after long days exploring Sa Pa. The bathroom was clean and equipped with a modern electric shower system, which was quite impressive. They even installed a heated lamp to keep you warm while showering—something you’ll definitely appreciate in the chilly Sa Pa climate. However, the wash basin design could be improved. Water tends to collect around the sides, leaving the surface constantly wet, and occasionally attracting small bugs. The hotel doesn’t include breakfast by default, but you can pay extra if you’d like the convenience of eating on-site. It’s not the cheapest option, but it’s certainly convenient. The hotel also offers facilities like a gym and a swimming pool. The pool is supposed to be heated, but during our visit the weather was extremely foggy and humid, so the heating was turned off and swimming wasn’t really appealing anyway. Their rooftop area is quite beautiful and would probably be an amazing place to enjoy the valley view on a clear day. Overall, despite the foggy weather limiting the scenery, Hotel DeLaMont is still a comfortable and decent hotel with spacious rooms and good facilities. On a clear day, the view alone would likely make the stay even more memorable."

"I had a good stay here, all the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. They did their best to get me an early check-in, which I really appreciated. The location is decent, though the main entrance is quite narrow (pretty much car-width), so it’s easy to miss on your first try and during night time as well. This is an issue for couples, nitpick for me. the hot water runs out fairly quickly. Not sure if this is common in northern Vietnam, but you’ll need to pause and wait for it to heat up again. If you’re traveling with a partner, don’t take too long in the shower or the next person might end up with cold water. Amenities, I didn’t explore them. Breakfast was included, with a mix of Western and Vietnamese options, which was a nice touch. Overall, a pleasant stay."

"Staff was friendly and speak good English. The room was beautiful and comfortable. The breakfast selection good for a quick meal before hitting on the road. The view from the room was overlooking Sapa Center. We had issue with the shower as the water was going down slowly, informed receptionist twice on the matters but it was not resolved till the third time. The in-house massage was average as my masseur was talking n using her phone."

"L’endroit est magnifique à environ 30 min du centre de Sapa. Nous préférons cet endroit pour son calme et son authenticité. Il y a des taxi Grab pour environ 8€ pour rejoindre Sapa. Concernant la chambre il y a le strict minimum. La propreté est moyenne, elle aurait pu être mieux. Attention il y a beaucoup d’insectes du fait qu’on soit à la campagne ! Et les chambres sont très mal isolées et peu intimes. Le matin vous serez réveillés vers 5/6h au levé du jour !! Sinon le restaurant de l’hôtel est excellent, nous avons adoré 😍 voici les photos. Les prix étaient très corrects ce qui vous évitent d’aller autre part. Le personnel est très gentil."

"We stayed 3 nights in the Grand Room with Mountain View during the winter season. The room was very spacious and comfortable. There is hot water available 24/7 to warm our souls in the cold weather. The huge bath tub was also a bonus. Toiletries such as shampoo, shower gel and toothbrush/paste and bedroom slippers are also provided. The location of the hotel is superb. Sun Plaza is probably 7 to 8 mins walk away from the hotel (with some slope going up) but it is very manageable. There are many outdoor gear shops, good restaurants and massage parlours around the area and within walking distance (some as close as 1 to 2 mins of walking). Breakfast is served in typical buffet style and included some local dishes. Nothing very fancy but definitely good enough to fill your stomachs. The infinity pool is just right beside the restaurant and offers a very good view of the mountains. The hotel staff are all very friendly and the front desk speaks perfect english. They are always ready to serve your needs and you can arrange tours/spas with them. Overall, this hotel is definitely worth every penny spent and we would definitely recommend it!"

"Very nice ambience. Traditional Spa feel. Beautiful and calming scenery. Nice clean rooms although can be larger. Gives a different feel. Not the modern hotel type that is being build around it, that can commonly be found. Staff is nice especially the restaurant staff and the manager there. Front desk gentlemen were all helpful. A location for the young and active. Elders can find the stone steps a chore to climb."
