"Big disappointment. Booked it for the last 2 days of our holiday with intention to relax. They provided us with a room but we had to changed it after one night because they started to do some maintenance work on that floor. The second room had moist problems, a bad smell and a wet floor in the bathroom. People working there are very indifferent to their guests with some exception. Pool is nice but staff is very busy chatting with each other instead of looking after their guests. Way to overpriced. Much better options around with better pricing and service!"

"The hotel was great location and easy to get around. The here was a little mart and restaurant right next door and it was delicious and service was great too. A great experience all around."

"Location of the hotel is excellent as it is near the waterfront and you can walk to nearby malls. The only con with the hotel is the breakfast staff. They were not up to the standards of the hotel and had to be asked to refill water and milk in the communal jugs. They seemed very overwhelmed by their tasks and were not proactive enough. Aside from that, the hotel was very good."

"The attention was really good. Everything is still brand new, that makes the place look better. Just a little suggestion: You really need to control the “monopoly” of the towels reservation on the pool and beach side. People didn’t even go and leave personal things just to separate places (chairs, beds, tables etc)."

"Internet didn't work much, sometime is on but most of the time off. TV was large but picture was not center so could not read far right and control does not work all the time, we had trouble turning on and off, had to tried push buttons many time before finally worked. Hotel should provide couple of wash towels and glass drinking cups instead style form cups. it is not important but would have been nice to have lotion. Love the flooring because it is not carpet like most of hotel, feels much more clean. bed were comfortable. breakfast buffet was good."

"It started out nice because they allowed us to check in early. Once he started the process, I let him know that we preferred the king size bed as my reservation was for a ”standard room with 2 double beds or a king bed”. That was when I started getting disappointed as he said it would be an extra charge of $25 for the king bed. I questioned why and was told that my reservation was for a standard room and it was extra for a king bed. I showed him what it said but he insisted it was extra. My husband just wanted to get checked in, so he paid for it with his credit card. We were very satisfied with our room as it was nice and clean and on the bottom floor. The TV would not play any channels of any kind so we couldn't even have that on for entertainment. We went out to the pool area only to find out that the poolside bar was closed and would not be opened during our stay. (05/05/2025). When I choose a place to stay, I expect to be able to enjoy the amenities listed. It did not list anything about being a low season or that the poolside bar would be closed. We had been looking forward to lounging in the pool while having cocktails. We're went inside to the bar and had to look around to find someone to get us drinks. Later on, we did have a very nice dinner in the restaurant with good service. We had to leave early in the morning and it was great to have shuttle service available and ready to take us to the airport. The driver was very efficient and safe. I did talk to the front desk about the extra $25 charge because I still felt that we should not have been charged extra. He was very apologetic and understood my point but could only give me a card with a number to call. Overall it is a beautiful property and the rooms are comfortable."

"Big, spacious room. Comfortable bed. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast buffet. Beautiiful pool area. Excellent location. This is a charming old hotel in desperate need of some updates. The carpets are old, filthy and full of mold. The air conditioning vents constantly drip water and need replacing. The safes in the rooms also need replacing."

"Absolutely fantastic stay! I truly enjoyed Riu from the time I checked in till the time I checked out. I appreciate the staff and the quick convenience of check in process. Not only was the rooms absolutely spotless and clean but their were plenty of elevators to get to the rooms. I really enjoyed the pressed juice from the breakfast the most (absolutely fresh and excellent). The breakfast buffet was a nice feature to have at our time there, along with looking out to the pool(do wish the pool was a tad bit bigger). IT IS A MUST YOU TRY THE RESTAURANT TASTE AND THE BARTENDER DRINKS. Absolutely probably one of the best in the city! The meal at taste was exceptional and the prices are perfect (please don't change because I plan on coming back). From start to finish Riu made my birthday experience worthwhile in Panama. I honestly wouldn't have changed it for the world! Thank you for the housekeeping for always keeping our room clean and us being so trustworthy of leaving suitcase and clothes items out and it wasn't even moved an inch. The beds were some of the most comfiest sheets we slept on in a while and the bathroom was so big and spacious with DOUBLE sinks! We appreciate the friendliness and excitement in activities and guest that we saw everyday. If you are not staying at Riu then what are you doing?"

"I really love this hotel I've stayed here a few times. I got a great deal from trip talk, this hotel cost me $106 a night with breakfast. I will say breakfast was disappointing at best. Not four or five star amenity breakfast. The eggs and The Omelette were real and they really need got out of espresso or cappuccino maker the coffee tasted like smog. There is a place next door and I would order my customized coffee and bring it to the restaurant which is pathetic that I had to do. I like the pool I like the view I like the staff everybody's professional it's a top notch Hotel and this is the second time I've stayed here. I didn't have any bad experience only positives."
