Extremely good place to stay! In terms of price/quality, this is so far the best place I have ever visited! My friend and I paid for 2-bed room (like in the hostel: 2 levels), but the price per night cannot compare with any other place. And everything is very neat and modern there! Also, on the roof, they have a swimming pool (again, it was a huge surprise for such a low price), and there you can order a cheap and very tasty breakfast (3-5 dollars for the set). And the location... Right nearby Pub Street, National Museum! Overall, I could highly recommend the place to anyone.
The hotel's location is excellent. The room is clean. The pool is clean. There's a large supermarket nearby. The city center is a 15-minute walk away. I recommend the price and quality.👍
We had a great night stayed at this hotel, on the day we checked in they introduce some tour arrangement for angkor temples tours and Cambodian circus, the place we interested was Angkor wat temple, we spent a half day from 1:30pm till 5pm with a small tour, in the evening after dinner, we decided to book the circus, and of course it was available for us. it started from 7:30pm till almost 10pm, It was so amazing about it. It so great and the staff at the hotel they spoke English fluently. Thanks for great services.
I stayed at Khmer Mansion recently, and the entire experience from check-in to check-out was smooth and hassle-free. Their customer service is honestly the strongest part of the hotel—the staff communicate clearly in English, understand what you need without overcomplicating things, and check on you regularly in a genuinely helpful way.
The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained. Room service food was consistently good, and they deliver fast.
Now the honest bits:
The room Wi-Fi needs to be fixed. It’s weak and inconsistent—not great if you rely on connectivity.
After four days, the food options felt repetitive. Not a dealbreaker, but something they can definitely improve.
Location-wise, this hotel is ridiculously convenient—walking distance to Old Market, Night Market, Pub Street, spas, and even the circus.
Despite the minor issues, I would stay here again mainly because of the staff and the location. They genuinely make the experience worthwhile.

We had an unforgettable five-night stay at this hotel and couldn’t recommend it more highly. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the most thoughtful, kind, and generous staff who went out of their way to make our trip special. A particular thank you to Naza, who was absolutely exceptional—her warmth and attention to detail truly stood out.
The facilities were amazing, especially the infinity pool, which was the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. The Moroccan theme throughout the hotel was beautifully done and genuinely made us feel like we were transported to Morocco.
Location-wise, the hotel couldn’t be better. It’s just a short walk from the Old Market and Pub Street, with a laundrette, coffee shop, and pizza restaurant conveniently located right nearby.
We also loved the food and drinks at the hotel, everything was delicious and very reasonably priced. Over the course of our stay, we ordered food and drinks daily, spending a total of just $160 USD, which was incredible value for the quality.
Thank you to everyone at the hotel for making our stay so memorable. We’ll definitely be recommending it to our friends and would love to return next year!
Overall a lovely hotel and what makes it were the incredibly friendly and helpful staff and the pool. The pool with a pool bar was a great place to cool off after a hot day exploring temples. The room (junior suite) was very good, but not quite 'excellent' since the shower wasn't properly hot and there wasn't quite enough wardrobe space. The location was good, but a bit further away, so we tended to take a tuk tuk which were readily available.
For me at this moment. I would say everything are very good like rooms, cleanliness, shower, lights, drinking water and foods. And also very safe room accomodations and the hotel staffs very accomodating. Thanks
It’s a good place for a short stay. The hosts are good. They try their best to keep the place clean. Has space to relax. For the price they charge , it’s good. Just 10 minutes walk to pub street and so many restaurants and food outlets. The pool was also clean.

The hotel facade is nice and well maintained but it’s far from a five star hotel. The service was good and the staff were all very friendly. But they can do with better training and guidance.
The pool was constantly filled with leaves even though it was cleaned every morning. And the rooms, while sizable enough, wasn’t very well equipped, eg the shower area didn’t have a curtain so water splashed onto the toilet floor. But water pressure and heating was great.
The balcony had an ant/bug problem and I didn’t use it in fear of them invading the room. In the end i failed and it somehow filled the edges of my walls. My coffee cup which I used on the 3rd day was left there till the 6th day so I’m not sure how thorough the housekeeping was. Pretty sure the sheets weren’t changed throughout the stay.
Location was good as it’s within walking distance to the centre of the city but off the main roads.
Breakfast - avoid it. One of the worst meals in my one week stay. Nothing was refilled and not worth the money unless you’re rushing for time.
Overall it was an ok stay. You can see that the staff is doing their best. More leadership in hospitality management is needed to make this a standout hotel, especially when most of the other choices in Siem Reap are quite old and dated.
Stayed for a week and got upgraded to the villa. Staff is super friendly and helpful. The villa could do with a bit of maintenance, fallen a little bit into disrepair but it's super spacious and clean which I appreciated. It's missing hangers and hooks so I had to pile up my clothes on the bench, there is no closet but open storage. Ironing board was provided, used my own iron as the hotel one doesn't have a steam function. The balcony is nice and the chair comfortable, was great to sit outdoors and research activities. I didn't use the restaurant, spa or pool. The location is great, lots of cool restaurants and bars in walking distance. That said, super loud music blasting from 5 pm till 4-5 am every night from the adjacent bar strip and the Hard Rock Café, so do bring earplugs...

SSilentEclipseStaff service are nice. Located by very close to Angkor wat areas. No lift only problem. Swimming pool and food all nice. TV and hotel room phone are spoiled but no problem for me. This is my experience in P5 Angkor residence hotel. Totally nice.
TTom van de WielAn excellent hotel near the centre of Siem Reap (Pub Street). The staff is super friendly highly professional and generally interested in your day or how the breakfast was for example.
We booked a one hour massage. I‘m really happy about it. The massagers were highly trained and friendly.
We really liked our stay here and we would absolutely come back!
For us, we had only one point of improvement, we really chose this hotel also, because of the gym. But unfortunately the gym is the only thing that does not meet the hotel standard. The equipment is old and many of them don‘t work anymore. The lat pull down missed the safety locks. I would not consider this gym as a place where I wanna gym.
However the gym experience didn‘t downgrade this hotel for me and the hotel was besides that above expectation. We also found the laundry a bit expensive, but the results of the laundry were absolutely excellent.
VVieraskäyttäjäWe absolutely loved this hotel. It's a short tuk tuk trip from the old market and pub street which has lots of great food and drink. It's also a great haven to use for trips to Ankgor Wat and or fishing/floating villages.
The restaurant in the hotel is excellent, during our 10 days in the hotel we ate there many times (we tried most of the menu). The staff were really friendly and welcoming, especially with our children, they were really well taken care of. The chef is really good, the food is just excellent.
The swimming pool is also really beautiful, we swam most days and a few times even had the entire pool to ourselves.
We stayed in a large family suite, it was huge at 120 square meters. The staff cleaned it everyday, giving us fresh drinking water and towels. We slept very well in this hotel.
Pro tips:
- Ask at reception for a Fire TV stick so that you can watch Netflix on the TV
- You can buy cans of beer and soft drinks at the little shop across the road for 1/5th the price of the minibar
PpassportfullofrosiesposiesThis hotel, particularly the service, has made me in love with Siem Reap. Mr Phea, Ms. Thida and Ms. Annie truly deserve my recommendation for their great hospitality, genuine care, and friendliness. I was first greeted my Mr Phea at the airport for the pick-up by TukTuk. It was a complimentary by the hotel. He was welcoming and so was Ms Thida when I arrived at the hotel. Not only with her warm smiles, I was also welcomed with a cold towel and a refreshing lemomgrass drink. We chatted like as if we had already known each other! As the room was already available on my arrival , I was granted early check-in to my room. Thank you, Ms Thida! I love my room. It was spacious and cosy. I wished the mini bar was complimentary but no biggie as there's a small grocery store just across the road where you can buy instant noodles, snacks, drinks and toiletries etc I spent the rest of my day out on a TukTuk for sightseeing and lunch. Mr Phea was my loyal TukTuk driver throughout my stay in Anjali. He was also like a tour guide and a friend to me. He brought me to an area where the Muslim community lives. There's a mosque and plenty of Halal food/restaurants. I truly appreciate Mr Phea doing this for me. Because of this, I had the opportunity to devour the delicious Cambodian dishes of Beef Lok Lak, Amok Fish, etc, without having to worry if it was pork-free and safe for me to eat. He brought me for a drive along the paddy fields and to watch the sunset. When I returned to the hotel, I was greeted by Ms Annie and Mr Panha. They were friendly too! Breakfast was alright to me. My first morning, I had my breakfast prepared and packed in a tiffin carrier as I left at 4am to go for the Angkor Wat Sunrise Tour. They packed hard boiled eggs, croissants, bananas, and little baguettes with jam. Only one morning I went to the restaurant for my breakfast and I chose Waffles with fresh fruits. There's a buffet of bakeries (bread, pastries, cakes), fresh fruit juices, cereals, and salad. I would totally recommend that the hotel look into an airtight container for the cereals as the ones I ate were all kinda soft and stale. The salad too should be covered because it was 'covered' with fruit flies and flies feasting on it. My two other breakfasts were spent in my room as requested. One of it was exceptionally good. I requested for scrambled eggs with cheese and mushrooms and I got just that. It was creamy and fluffy! I requested for smoked salmon at the side but was given smoked salmon bagel with rocket leaves and
The morning on my check-out day was sort of disgusting. The scrambled eggs were dry and two of out the croissants were cold. The watermelon Juice was good though. It could have been perfect if a glass of ice was served alongside with it.
KKSea 14-Star Luxury Hotel for the Backpacker Price of $40/night!
The first thing you notice about Sokha Palace Siem Reap Hotel is just how pretty it is! The architect, painters, decorators and maintenance staff did a fabulous job (see my photos). The second thing you notice is how delicious the huge buffet is – including free espresso drinks. Third, you notice that the rooms are not only nice but that everything works well (aircon, hot water showers, refrigerator, wifi, and cable TV with news channels from a half dozen countries like CNN). Fourth, it is in a quiet location less than 15 minutes from Angkor Wat, and only a $2 tuktuk ride to Pub Street or anywhere else in Siem Reap.
But then you notice the best part: the outstanding hotel staff. For example, the Front Desk Manager Phyrun personally helped me when I could not make my room keycard work, and even brought me a bucket of ice. Originally I booked five nights during Chinese New Year with Trip.com discounts for $39/night, but he gave me a free upgrade from a garden view double with king bed to a pool view room. I liked it so much I wanted to extend, but the best I could find online was $41/night garden view, $51 for pool view. I asked Phyrun if I could get the upgrade again if I bought the $41 online, and he said no – but he smiled and said he would give it to me for $40/night the Khmer rate instead (normally $50 for barangs like me)!
The restaurant had other examples of great staff. Some days the restaurant is overflowing with several hundred guests, other days only a few dozen. Yet they maintain the quality and personal touch from the egg and soup station, to the bountiful buffet, to the waiters and waitresses that clear the tables. The Restaurant Manager Somedy and his Assistant Manager Chhaiya keep it all flowing smoothly. Even on the busiest day, waitress Chanthla took the time to show my Khmer friend’s elderly stepmom the way they fold the napkins. Today the espresso machine was not working for a while, so Chhaiya offered to have a waiter drive over to the sister hotel to bring me lattes. I repeatedly declined, but was very impressed by the excellent customer service attitude.
So the real beauty of this French chateau style hotel is its employees, including very efficient housekeeping and grounds staff. I checked out the “5-Star” Sokha Resort on the other side of its convention center, but did not like it half as much (especially for 70% more per night). Normally I would be afraid to write a review of a hotel that I like so much, but with 456 rooms I don’t have to worry about it being full. Do yourself a favor and stay here when in Siem Reap.

AAnonyymi käyttäjäI had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and I can confidently say this place lives up to its name. From the moment I arrived until my departure, every aspect of my experience exceeded expectations.
Exceptional Hospitality
The standout feature of the hotel is undoubtedly its staff, particularly receptionist Lyma, who deserves special recognition as a true employee of the month. Lyma went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and memorable. Her excellent English communication skills made everything seamless, and her genuine warmth and attentiveness to guest needs made me feel truly welcomed. Whether I needed recommendations, assistance with bookings, or just a friendly conversation, Lyma was there with a smile and helpful solutions.
Cleanliness and Comfort
The property maintains impeccable standards of cleanliness throughout. My room was spotless, and the common areas were consistently well-maintained. It's clear that the management takes great pride in providing guests with a hygienic and comfortable environment.
Outstanding Restaurant
The on-site restaurant is a real highlight. The food is absolutely delicious, offering authentic flavors that showcase the best of Cambodian cuisine alongside international options. What impressed me most was the combination of high quality and reasonable prices – you get exceptional value for your money. Whether you're grabbing breakfast before temple tours or enjoying dinner after a long day of exploration, the restaurant delivers consistently tasty meals.
Convenient Motorcycle Rental
For travelers wanting to explore Siem Reap independently, The Calm Oasis offers motorcycle rentals at very competitive prices. This added convenience means you don't need to search elsewhere for transportation, and the rates are among the best I've seen in the area. Having this service available on-site made exploring Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples incredibly easy.
Overall Impression
The Calm Oasis strikes the perfect balance between comfort, affordability, and genuine hospitality. The friendly atmosphere, pristine cleanliness, delicious food, fair pricing, and exceptional staff – especially Lyma – combine to create an experience that I would highly recommend to any traveler visiting Siem Reap. This is the kind of place that makes you want to extend your stay and return on your next visit to Cambodia.
Highly recommended for: Solo travelers, couples, and anyone looking for authentic hospitality in a clean, comfortable setting with excellent value.
VVieraskäyttäjäI wanted to see what the cheapest backpackers in Siem Reap could offer. You get an old bunk bed (with curtains), and padlock drawer underneath (bring you own padlock). All rather old fashioned. Large ceiling fans in the room have me a runny nose, but as the place was empty, I switched them off. Despite multiple notices regarding a ”zero tolerance” for *****, some guests were smoking **** in the pool, unbothered. Maybe I'm over the backpackers thing, but there are better, more modern options, for a little bit more money.
MMariasmdThe room was exactly as show on the photos; spacious clean and bright. I could order breakfast to my room which was great. The first day breakfast was 15 minutes late, but luckily I wasn’t heading for the airport or anything. At the time of my stay there were offering 2 choices for breakfast, which were both delicious. The room came fully stocked with snacks as well as al pullover and Jon alcoholic drinks for cheap. Everything was around a dollar to a dollar twenty five. There is no elevator at this hotel. I was on the third floor and only had a carry-on luggage. Staff were pleasant and answered questions patiently.
VVieraskäyttäjäI must give this hotel a big five-star rating! From the moment I stepped into the lobby until I checked out, the entire experience was absolutely perfect and completely exceeded my expectations.
As soon as I walked in, the front desk staff greeted me warmly with friendly smiles. The check-in process was quick and efficient, and they also patiently informed me about the location of the hotel's facilities as well as recommendations for nearby attractions and restaurants, which made me feel very welcome right away.
The room was even more of a pleasant surprise. The overall decor was simple yet elegant, and it was spotlessly clean—there wasn't a speck of dust even in the corners. What impressed me most was the bedding: the mattress was neither too hard nor too soft, and the quilt and pillows were fluffy and soft, with a great skin-friendly feel. As someone who's picky about beds, I actually slept soundly all night long. The bathroom featured a well-designed dry-wet separation layout, with a spacious and tidy vanity. The hot water came quickly and steadily, and the quality of the toiletries was good, making them very comfortable to use.
The breakfast the next day was a delightful surprise too. The dining area was clean and bright, with an extremely rich variety of food. There was a wide selection of Chinese options like porridge and noodles, as well as Western choices such as bread, bacon, and fruits. All the ingredients were fresh, and they were replenished promptly, which could fully satisfy different taste preferences. My child wanted to eat instant noodles every noon, and the hotel restaurant staff kindly helped to make them—such a thoughtful gesture!
This stay experience was truly flawless. I have already recommended the hotel to my friends, and I will definitely choose it again next time I come!
