The Pullman Weifang is always my hotel of choice in Weifang, The European menu in the Cafe is a life saver serving anything from German sausages to burger or pizza to steaks. The buffet is equally good in the main restaurant where I enjoyed great lamb chops and drinks are included in the price which is a welcome relief. The hotel is located next door to a nice shopping mall and the rooms are large and spacious. The gym is extremely well kitted and the pool is amazing.

I found what looked like an engorged tick or bedbug crawling up my bed. The hotel is pretty and I booked it for 1 night as a luxury treat so I could get a good rest for my layover stop to another destination. My room smelt like stale smoke unfortunately, though I had asked for non-smoking. I paid extra on my booking for breakfast and had to wake up at 6am, eat breakfast at 6.30am and go to the airport at 7.20am. My room had a bathtub so I took a bath before bedtime and went to bed at midnight, I got up to go switch the lamp off at 1am and found this bug crawling up the side of my bed going towards me. I think it's either a tick or a bed bug, the body was full of blood. It had 6 or 8 legs, difficult to see but I took a video which doesn't allow me to upload. I don't have any problems with normal bugs such as spiders, but if it is a tick or bedbug it is a big problem. I was really worried there were more hiding inside the bed, I called reception for help and they looked at the bug which I caught in a glass cup. They apologised deeply and changed my room, so I had to move at 1.30am. I explained I was already tired and have to wake up early. In the new room I was unable to sleep as I kept worrying about bed bugs. I got up multiple times to check my bed. And there was a noisy couple next door talking loudly until very late so I couldn't sleep. For a luxury hotel you should not need to loose a whole night's sleep because you are worried about bedbugs or ticks biting you. Nor should be able to hear noise from other guests through the wall. I was extremely exhausted the next day and did not have any appetite. I asked if they could refund the extra I paid for breakfast because I couldn't eat it, but they said it wasn't possible. So I forced myself to try eat 1 egg and some small rice porridge but couldn't finish it. Really expensive to pay for breakfast and hardly eat, it's a shame they couldn't refund the breakfast considering I had no sleep. For a 5* hotel, I would like to have good rest and peaceful sleep. But it was not like that. The staff were very kind and helpful, but it's not so easy to travel here alone. It was not easy to book a taxi for the following morning to the airport and it took 40 minutes of assistance, the man was very kind and helpful, but the hotel should make an easier system for foreign guests to book taxi. When I first arrived in Jinan airport, I had no idea how to get to the hotel. There is no ATM inside the hotel so you cannot withdraw cash, and you cannot pay with foreign card to book a taxi. The shangri-la website did not provide any details for public transport. It simply said bus transfer was available but did not say which number bus. I would give the details here but I have forgotten the route name and bus number now as it was hectic and I was very tired, sorry. I had to waste a lot of time trying to ask for help at the airport as the staff did not speak English. Luckily someone helped me. The bus will cost 20yuan and take you into the centre where you will see the intercontinental hotel and a large shopping mall on the left side of the bus, get off at that stop, it takes 1 hour. From there it's only 5 minutes walk to shangri-la. For a big hotel they should provide easy instructions on the website to guests.
The staff apologised deeply for the bug on the bed, and offered 10% reduction of the room rate. Although when I checked out no refund was given and they didn't mention anything about it, I think they just charged full price. Personally I think 10% is not enough anyway. Nobody wants to change rooms at 1.30am because of bugs crawling on the bed. I didn't get any sleep at all and felt itchy because I kept thinking about bugs and couldn't eat the breakfast. I was absolutely exhausted the following day so I was unable to do anything at my next destination and had to waste 1 day more to rest. Unfortunately not an easy experience at the shangri-la.

Nice and comfortable hotel for a business trip. Rooms are spacious and the green surroundings add up to a relaxed atmosphere. There’s a lotus pond in the middle with great views. Lacks a bit in terms of international amenities but it’s understandable given it’s location. Heard great things about the hot springs. Have to try them next time.

A comfortable 2 night stay. Staff very helpful and accomodating. Great location at foot of mountain range. Easy to get to entrance to Mount Tai. Room was clean and spacious with nice shower which was essential after getting soaked on the mountain.

A fantastic hotel, especially the Muji-style design. It's clean and comfortable overall, and the location is superb – right on the beach and surrounded by restaurants and convenience stores.
If you're planning a day trip to Weihai, this is the perfect place to stay, as it's the departure and arrival point, making it incredibly convenient.
The receptionist was also exceptionally friendly
The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect, and the facilities are among the best in Yantai. The service was also incredibly warm and professional.
We had a special episode during our stay — my son accidentally left one of his shoes in a DiDi taxi, and we were struggling to contact the driver due to the language barrier. Thankfully, staff member Dragon Xu went above and beyond to help us. He communicated with the driver, arranged for the shoe to be retrieved, and even handled all the related details and costs with great care.
That shoe had a very special meaning for our family, and we’re truly grateful for his kindness and dedication. Because of this experience, we’ll definitely stay at the Pullman Yantai Center again with even more fondness next time we visit Yantai.

Also, i would like to give a warm thank you to the receptionist at the time when I arrived at the hotel. Her name is “Even”, and she was ever so polite, kind and always smiling which made feel so welcome. She made my experience at the hotel very satisfying as she was very informative about the facilities and services the hotel had to offer its guests. I believe that wonderful staff deserves every credit for treating me like one of China’s own people.

AArnont BoosarawongseWe had such a wonderful stay! The location is absolutely perfect—having the May 4th Square Metro station right outside the front door made getting around so easy. It’s also great value for the price. Everyone on the staff was so kind, but a special shoutout goes to the housekeeping team. They were so attentive and even left us a sweet little note in our room, which was such a lovely touch! We’re already looking forward to staying here again on our next trip to Qingdao.

The room is in the old wing but at least it doesnt feel old and surprisingly quite a pleasant stay. Valley wing is the newer side. This hotel seems to be a popular conference hotel. In my 4-5 days staying there, there was always a conference held in the hotel. The hotel has larger taxis which can take 5-6pax. The taxi goes by meter so was reasonable. The hotel is very conveniently located, next to MixC shopping mall. There are many restaurants in the shopping mall where we had dinner. There were also many bakeries and a supermarket in the mall. There is also the usual mc donalds, starbucks and luckin coffee. There was also a new songmont shop that recently opened in the mall. For breakfast, there is a lane behind the hotel where we tried the dumplings and noodles for breakfast/brunch. Good price, around 100yuan for 5 pax. Cheap and good.
8852 Serendipitous LifeOverall the hotel staff and service are 4 star. What makes the hotel 5 Star are the rooms and facilities. It is clean, safe, and well maintained.
To be fair, I did arrive in early April during the off-season but I was not impressed with the service provided. Staff was consistently difficult to find, or would be crowded all in the lobby. Check-In and Check out was easy and the staff are very nice. International guests be aware, few to no staff speak English or communicate in any other language.
The breakfast was not good. Cold and hard food, empty plates, drinks and foods not being refilled, and then having the lights turned off after breakfast was finished being served. Few selections, mainly cheap foods and breads.
There are no staff outside, during my time there. No bell hops, no one to guide you to the front desk (Because it is not easy to find at first), no one to help with your luggage. A single staff member stands at the front of the lobby after you enter to greet you.
Positives - The room was spacious and very clean. It had most things I needed and the quality of the room and bathroom was excellent. The balcony looked over the courtyard and the ocean which people can see you if you go out but was a nice addition. The island the hotel is on has everything close by and most taxis/Didi’s will pick you up within five minute
The area has been developing for many years and is getting better each year. The Qingdao Beer Festival ground are close by (about 30 minutes drive) during the summer, but most activities are in the city about one hour drive away for the rest of the year.
For this hotel, the room and facilities are the focus as they are well taken care of and maintained. I am not sure if I would return.
VVieraskäyttäjäI have no complaints about the hotel. We liked the interruption at your place. Very friendly, kind staff. The rooms are clean and everything is functional. You even asked during the cleaning of the room, usually in other hotels the cleaning comes by itself and knocks on the door, while the guests sleep. Your hotel respects the rest of guests and it's nice! Lunch tea and other bonuses for guests are also pleasant. We put the fruit in the room and changed the refrigerator on time. There were queues in the canteen in the morning, but now there are holidays and there are a lot of people in the hotel, it's understandable. There is a lot of food in the dining room, in most cases it is Chinese, but foreigners can also find something to eat for themselves. Thank you for your care and good rest🙏🏻💞

İ wanted to order room service after 20.30 they told me no english and hung up on my face. After 10 mins 2 people came to my room telling me they dont have room service, after 20.30 even though the menu said 24 hours.
The next day i tried to order at 16.00 and they told me it starts at 18.30…
the design and the quality of the hotel is maybe the best ive seen in my life but the service is 0/10 … no cola to drink no food to eat .. i would not reccomend if you want to spend a lot of time in it.

We were upgraded to a better room, and had free breakfast and dinner at the hotel. Our bathroom had a somewhat unpleasant odour, most likely because it had poor ventilation. However, I was very pleased with the quality of the hotel overall, and the soft bed ensured a good night’s sleep. I was particularly impressed with the excellent customer service. The attentiveness of the hotel employees more than made up for the initial setbacks. The Crowne Plaza is a good choice for those looking for easy access to the city nightlife and a nice view of the bay.
MMasalHKRooms: Good size room, 6/F partly refurbished (especially electrics, carpets), 4/F not done. They have an executive lounge but it is just a lounge, no benefits that you get in other hotels.
Facilities: 2/F has pool tables, table tennis, card/mahjong rooms, gym; Floor B1 has a huge pool. All quite busy as they allow members of the public to pay to use.
Breakfast: Good, some western options. RMB40/pax at hotel.
Location: Perfect. easy walk to Daming Lake, Kuanhouli, Black Tiger Spring, shops. It is on the route of the Tourist shuttle bus which costs RMB5/day and goes to all the main sites. Frequent at weekends, less so weekdays.
Restaurants: Lots around hotel. South to malls on Quancheng Road where there are lots of all you can eat hotpot and BBQ. Also south to Kuanhouli, the snack street and some good restaurants (Huixian Floor Restaurant). North is the famous Shandong restaurant: Kui Sheng Ju. There was always a queue so we went to a similar restaurant across the street from it. Also next to it is the Jia Chuan Min Guangzhou restaurant which is excellent.
Service: We had a problem with the shower on 6/F as water pressure was very low or just cut out altogether. Initially we asked the front desk staff to sort it out but not much happened. Then asked the duty manager and he was very helpful and moved us to a suite on the 4/F. So if you have a problem, make sure you ask for some one in authority and the service will be excellent.
Language: Mandarin only
Will defintely consider again if we return to Jinan.
