Guesthouse provides free pick up and drop off at train station. Hotel breakfast was simple but good and filling. Hotel room had oxygen supply provided. Cleaning can be a bit better. Found some trash under the sofa upon check in when we accidentally moved it. Guesthouse provided coupon for free Handmade ******* Incense or Thangka Making Experience inside the ancient town, would recommend others to go if you have time. Overall a comfortable stay, location is walking distance to ancient town.

I had a truly memorable stay at YUNDU and would strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, tastefully designed, and warm place to stay in Lijiang. Overall, the experience was very positive, with excellent service, cozy design, and many thoughtful touches. There were a few minor areas for improvement, but they did not take away from how much I enjoyed my stay. Breakfast was excellent and honestly better than many meals I had outside. The local auntie who prepares breakfast is incredibly warm and friendly. The mixian is very foreigner-friendly, light, comforting, and not oily or salty like many outside options. I requested extra vegetables and additional boiled eggs, and she was more than happy to accommodate. This care really stood out. YUNDU’s Samoyed dog, Sanjin (三斤), is truly the heart and mascot of the hotel. He is extremely friendly and intelligent. Staff would say things like “去拍照，去跟姐姐玩” and Sanjin would immediately come over. During my afternoon tea, he quietly came over and sat beside me, which was a very heart-warming moment. Upon checkout, I even received Sanjin fridge magnets and a Polaroid photo, which was incredibly thoughtful. First impressions were great. As part of the package, YUNDU arranged an airport pickup from Lijiang Airport using a clean, comfortable EV. The driver was friendly, chatty, and helpful, and the ride to the hotel was smooth and relaxing. I was pleasantly surprised with a free room upgrade. The upgraded room was spacious, perfect for morning stretching, and included a large and very clean bathtub. Bath balls and a sheet mask were provided, which was a lovely winter touch. The bed was very comfortable. The pillows were a bit soft for me, but there were firmer ones available, and layering them worked well. The blanket was thick, soft, and warm, and even during power outages, I stayed comfortable. Facilities were well thought out, including a Laifen hair dryer with strong airflow, a large high-definition TV facing the bed with VIP streaming access, and a large humidifier suitable for overnight use. The bathroom layout was excellent for winter, with separated toilet and shower. The electronic toilet has heating and auto-flush, and the shower area includes warm air from above. The mirror lighting is also great for makeup. There were some minor layout quirks. There is no floor heating, and the slippers were placed far from the entrance. The electric kettle was placed on a cabinet with no power socket nearby. Service was one of YUNDU’s strongest points. Staff helped with luggage, provided room tours, and checked in regularly via WeChat. When I mentioned possible altitude discomfort, they even gifted me an oxygen tank. The boss was friendly and happily helped me take photos with Sanjin. The only small gap was the butler service. I only realised who my butler was on the last night, and one included service, a butler-accompanied visit to Baisha Ancient Town, which never happened — neither I nor the staff remembered it until I reviewed my package later on Trip.com. That said, my butler was extremely efficient in arranging transportation to Lugu Lake, with smooth coordination and reasonable pricing. The entire property is tastefully decorated, cozy, and inviting. The fireplace in the lobby is a highlight and perfect for winter evenings. During my first two nights, there were power outages. While this delayed some of my work, the room stayed warm. The upside was zero light pollution, and I could see a sky full of stars, which became one of my favourite moments of the stay. I strongly recommend YUNDU to anyone looking for a beautiful view, thoughtful design, warm service, and a cozy yet affordable stay in Lijiang. If you love Lijiang, come to Baisha. If you love Baisha, come to YUNDU.

A Rustic Paradise with 100/10 Service! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our only regret about staying at this homestay is that we only booked for one night, we truly wish we could have stayed much longer! From start to finish, this was a 10/10 experience defined by genuine kindness and a stunning ”rustic farm” atmosphere. The service is beyond exceptional! A massive shoutout to Xiao Gong, who was incredible from the very beginning. She coordinated with us via WeChat long before we even arrived, constantly checking in to ensure we were okay. Her English is excellent, and she went above and beyond to accommodate every single request with a smile. We also want to give a special thank you to Ting Zeng, Gong Fu Yan, Ba Song, and Da Dong. This team is charming, professional, and extremely attentive. They handled our bags, guided us through the local customs, and their constant smiles made us feel so welcome. They truly give their all to ensure guests are happy. We were also thrilled to be upgraded to a room with an even more spectacular view! The attention to detail is impressive: The bed was perfect, and the heated floors were a lifesaver. They provide oxygen supplies, high-quality towels, humidifier, mini fridge, hair dryers, and full toiletry kits. The staff also took the time and extra mile to explain how to use all the equipment in detail, which was so helpful. Overall, the property itself is a dream, a beautiful farm courtyard filled with horses, sheep, and yaks. It feels authentic and peaceful. On top of the gorgeous setting, the complimentary services were the cherry on top: Professional photography / Traditional tea sessions and afternoon coffee / A delicious breakfast & A thoughtful goodbye goody bag! This place has heart and soul. If you are visiting Shangri-La, do yourself a favor and book more than two days here. We will definitely be back! Great location, look for the yellow boards and you will find it easily. The room items are little bit used but all is all right and clean. I would not recommend to stay during cold nights - the room doesnt have AC. I was staying in room 207 and i heard all noise from stairs, even just walking and also people in room 206 were awake and screaming whole night so be aware of that.

Service was fantastic, the host was superb! Place was clean, convenient, and included all that one could need on a vacation. In the heart of Ancient Dali, this was perfect for food, entertainment, and shopping. It is also minutes away from the famous Cangshan mountain, and the host is very considerate in assisting you with any arrangement you'd like, including cabs for railway and airport transportation. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that the room matched exactly the photos that are on the site. Very often this is not the case. So, all in all it was a very pleasant experience at this location. Would definitely stay again and certainly would recommend this to anyone travelling to Dali. As a single female, I found this place to be very safe...especially with a considerate host, who looks out for you!

We had a very pleasant stay overall. The room was exactly as described: very clean, surprisingly large, and the floor heating in the main area was a welcome feature. The location is truly excellent—easy to find, a short distance from the ancient city, and incredibly convenient for taxis. Having a supermarket right downstairs and access to fantastic local restaurants was a huge plus. The only area for improvement is the bathroom temperature. As there is no heating element, it became quite cold during the night, which was a bit uncomfortable. Despite this, we would happily return for the great value and ideal location.

That said, be mindful that this would come with a trade off in terms of convenience. The room itself was exceptional, blending modern amenities with high-end comforts. We were especially impressed by the features designed for the high-altitude environment: • High-Tech Comfort: The room included oxygen control and a humidifier, which made a massive difference in our comfort. • Entertainment & Relaxation: We loved the large projector and screen for cozy movie nights, and the deep soaking bathtub was perfect for unwinding. Exceptional Hospitality & Care What truly sets this place apart is the genuine care provided by the owner and the staff: • Warm Welcome: The owner personally fetched us on our first day, surprised us with a room upgrade, and even pre-heated the room before we arrived. • Safety & Service: He provided an oxygen canister for emergencies, giving us total peace of mind. The friendly caretaker from Dali was also wonderful, preparing delicious meals and ensuring we were well-looked after. • Local Experiences: The owner gave us expert travel tips and drove us to Pudacuo National Park at a very reasonable rate. The highlight was being invited to his thome to share Suyou (butter) tea, local bread with cheese and wild honey with his family. This was a raw experience that we found very meaningful While our stay was fantastic, there were a couple of minor maintenance points that would make the stay better: • Housekeeping: Some of the toiletries were not replenished during our two-night stay. • Bathroom Maintenance: The shower head was not fixed very securely, and there was some visible limescale. We understand this might be due to the current season and lower occupancy, but a quick fix would make the room perfect. Overall, this is a gateway to the heart of Shangri-La. The place is very clean, peaceful, and beautifully located close to nature. What touched us the most was how kind and caring the staff and the owner are. They were incredibly helpful throughout our stay and always made sure we were comfortable. During our stay, one of our family members needed to go to the hospital, and the owner and staff personally helped us, even driving us there and taking care of everything. Their support and kindness went far beyond what we expected, and we are deeply grateful. This is a perfect place for families. There are animals around such as dogs, cats, and birds, which made the experience even more special and joyful for us. The atmosphere feels warm, safe, and welcoming, just like home. We are very, very happy to have stayed here and truly appreciate everything they did for us. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Shangri-La, especially families looking for a caring and heartfelt place to stay.

We enjoyed our stay here, so when we returned from Shangri-la to Lijiang, we made a repeat booking at this place. The cleanliness of the place and the friendliness of the staff were the main reasons for our return. Location: This place is situated near the border of the Lijiang Ancient City. It is close to the main road (2 min walk) which makes it easy to meet your driver for airport transfer or any tour you join. It is also extremely convenient to get to the main attractions such as Mu Residence (5 min) and Zhongyi Night Market (6-8 min). You will be away from the hustle and bustle at night, and get some peace and quiet. Room: We were lucky that we got a room on the ground floor, as we had very heavy luggage. It would be very difficult to pull them up the stairs if we were on the upper floor. Every room has a different name, and shows that the owners put some thought into giving each of their guests a unique experience. The room we got was of moderate size, with a small sofa area for you to enjoy tea and snacks. There was also a kettle and four cups, and a 5-litre water dispenser that dispensed hot and cold water - I appreciated this, which was more environmentally friendly and generous than other accommodation which gave us 2 bottles of water (500ml each) each every day. The room was also equipped with heating, for the room and the floor, and they were controlled by the front desk. There was also a humidifier. The room's interior decoration was warm and cozy. Outdoor: We also enjoyed sitting outdoors, idling, gazing at the fish, watching the flowers bloom, while enjoying many cups of tea. Toilet: It was of decent size, with a shower cubicle that dispensed hot water pretty quickly. They provided us with everything so there's nothing you need to bring: shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, slippers, slippers for shower, towels for body and hair, one-time face towels, hair dryer, body lotion, soap, detergent. Service: The staff was hospitable, friendly, and the service was impeccable. We enjoyed chatting with them over many cups of tea, and rose pastries. They even recommended travel routes and restaurants to us, which were very good, and we even got discounts or freebies by telling the restaurants where we were staying. It was easy to communicate with the staff on WeChat, they responded promptly, and arranged free airport transfer for us as we stayed more than three nights. Food: Breakfast was served every morning, which included a bowl of Yunnan mixian (noodles), a steamed bun, a hard-boiled egg, corn, and some spicy preserved vegetables. Every booking came with one serving of afternoon tea, which included rose pastries and a variety of fruits. We arrived after midnight and the staff prepared some rose pastries and fruit for us, in case we would be hungry, which was very thoughtful of them!

Situated in the ancient town with a nice view. The path is quite rough and uneven so the staff helped us carry the luggage from the point where the taxi dropped us. The staff was very helpful and provide a lot of guidances. As we would miss the breakfast for both mornings because we would need to leave early for the tours, the staff packed the breakfast for us! The staff also helped me at late night with booking a taxi to a bus station. If it were not for him, we would have missed the bus to Tiger Leaping Gorge as no Didi taxis accept our advance booking.
