the staff was friendly and the inn is very cute. the toilet was a bit dirty but nothing a good disposable toilet seat cover couldn't solve. wifi and AC heating are great. breakfast was amazing. the only complaint is that check out took longer than usual (staff wasn't present) and we weren't given any bottle of typical vinegar :/

The hotel is beautiful! The photos don’t do justice, is really lovely and cozy. The room is modern and comfortable, rest assured you will have the essentials and more. The staff was extremely kind, very attentive, friendly and with an English speaker. Our train was delayed and the staff was patient enough to wait for us and still give us a warm welcome. We loved this town, unique, traditional with lots of places to explore. The visitor tickets are valid for 3 days so you can take your time to enjoy.

Perfect stay! Although one night is bit too short! The owner was very friendly and helpful, they reached out to us the day before our arrival and asked if we need pickup from the train station. Once we arrived, a lady came to pick us up from outside of the ancient city as the car couldn’t drive into the ancient town. Free water in the room and we were given some free shaji juice and vinegar. The room was incredibly clean and beautiful with the ancient look furnitures and comfy at the same time. We would love to stay again if ever come back. Highly recommend this room for couples!

The accommodation is absolutely beautiful, with very nice details. They also left us some sweets and tea as a welcome gift, and every day they gave us a large bottle of water. The only thing I didn’t like is that during the day people come to take photos at the property, and there is quite a lot of noise until almost 10pm. Sometimes it can be annoying to hear people taking photos right outside your room. Apart from that, the accommodation is great.

A beautiful guesthouse, the rooms are beautiful too. Bed is big and comfy, very clean and the bathroom is modern despite how traditional the building is. Also has great heating if desired. The family that runs the guesthouse is so so sweet. Their food is also delicious and a great option for a quick breakfast (the buns are to die for). Excellent location. All in all would definitely come back and recommend this place.

Cosy historical building done up very nicely. Room was well renovated, owner super friendly and very accommodating, we asked for more water, toilet paper, different type of breakfast etc all happy to oblige. 10 minutes walk to light show, 10m walk to center of ancient city where most of the historical sites were. 10m walk to outside where the best food is..DO NOT eat inside the old city, food outside much better. Owner also arranged for car to take us to Wang Family compound and Shuanglian temple at much better price than I could find anywhere online. and private transfer to/from train station as well. Very happy I booked to stay at this location. Breakfast was EXCELLENT

We loved our stay in Taiyuan and this was probably the best overall hotel of our trip! If you can't find it in the alley simply walk into the most beautiful entrance. The interior designer must have been happy as well, lots of nice artwork and style, very nice room, comfy bed, great breakfast buffet. Perfect location yet quiet, in the old centre full of shops and restaurants, buzzy nightlife, don't miss the 'Paris Baguette' in the same alley! By the way, to get to the wonderful Jinci Temple we simply took the subway to Xiqiao and then a Didi.

We had a great stay at Yunzeju. All the staff we met were lovely and very helpful. The location is great and the rooms are very comfortable. The surroundings of the guesthouse are beautiful. Included in the price is 1hr Hanford dress up for 1 person for free and a little gift bag given to you when you check out. The breakfast offered for an extra 10yuan per person is very tasty and there is a good amount of choice! We left very early on our last day and the staff arranged a taxi to pick us up outside the guesthouse and he even arrived early. We couldn’t have asked for more from our stay. It was great!

The location is great, it’s located beside a shopping mall. Room is spacious, however the amenities and the hardware of the room is abit dated, management should look into this. The frontdesk staff is good in their service, buffet breakfast spread is alright.

A very good home stay/hotel that I highly recommend for anyone who travel to Datong. It’s at the entrance of the Datong Ancient City, very convenient to walk around for shops and restaurants. The hotel staffs and owner are very friendly to accommodate our needs. Lift is available and good for family with elderly. The pick up and drop off service to stations are the best! There are some problems on the bed sizes when we checked in but the owner resolve in a friendly way. Highly recommended for a special stay!
