We were only here for one night but the location is perfect as it’s right at Kumamoto Station, so it couldn't be easier to get to, and having the Amu Plaza mall right there for shopping and food was so convenient.
Being on the higher floors, the views of the city are amazing. The rooms feel very modern and spacious, but the free onsen (public bath) was the best part. It was definitely a great way to relax at the end of the day. It was handy having convenience stores, restaurants and a mall just a few steps away.

When I first arrived in Mitsui Garden, the staff already showed me great attitude - letting me use their lounge for free while I needed to wait for my check in time at 3pm. During my stay, all staff showed their professional and nice services. The best part came from my own room - Kumamon standard queen room. Everything was enough - the size, the atmosphere, the decoration, THE CUTE BATHROOM - made me feel like home immediately. Very close to Sakura Machi Kumamoto Shopping centre and Bus station, and Kumamoto Castle, Sakuranobaba Jousaien… all were in walking distance. Very friendly in all the ways possible I should say. 10000000/10 👏

Great stay! Clean! Love the free amenities which included soup, tea and toiletries. Microwave available too. Only downside is that the carpark is 2000 per night which is expensive. Other option is a 5 mins walk to nearby for 1200 per night for parking 2pm-12pm the next day. Remember to inform the person at the carpark they you want multiple entries to get a multiple entry card!

The location is within walking distance to shops/food. The size of our room is the largest among similar hotels we have stayed in Japan and very well laid out. We would've absolutely loved it only if there were different pillows available.

Hotel Nikko Kumamoto maintains very high standard of service. Greeters were always smiling at the hotel lobby and lift area. We were lucky to get a Room with Castle view. Location was perfect, right opposite Tsuruya Departmental Store and beside Shimotori shopping srreet. Breakfast spread was excellent. Highly recommended!

Excellent stay at one station! First time and with it's perfect location it makes travelling around so convenient. Beside it it's Kumamoto Station and there is AMU Shopping mall just beside it. If you rented a car during your stay in Kumamoto, you may just park at the multi story carpark behind the hotel for just 1000 yen for 24hrs with multiple entries but you would have to head to hotel reception to get the coupon for it. Definitely a recommended stay in Kumamoto

I had an enchanting two-night stay at this hotel, where the picturesque view of the river from my room added a serene touch to the experience. Hotelli on hyvin saatavilla, se on varastossa, bussireitti lentokentälle on aivan alakerrassa.
Niin monta ravintolaa ja on myös perheen martsia.
Hotelli on uusi ja odotettavissa ei ole niin tilava, mutta aamiainen on hyvä ja henkilökunta on todella majoittuva.
Suositeltavaa tämä hotelli, jos matkustaa Kumamoto. Kumamoto linna on vain 15min kävelymatkan aikana Shimotori Shopping Center on vain 5-10mins pois. Olemme myös hyvin onnekkaita todistaa heidän festivalin koska paraati tapahtui ympäri aluetta.
Fujisaki Hachimangu Shrine -juhla (tai Zuibyo Festival), joka pidetään joka syyskuussa. Se on niin hauska 🥰🥰

the location is easy to travel to any other tourist spot , it is on the opposit conor of aso station, there is Lawson on the opposit as well. The camp is lovely both interior or exterior, the living room, the toilet, the shower are clean, the kitchen is lovely you can cook but you have ro clean them by yourself. The room are cheap but very clean.the staff are so nice.
If I visit aso I will stay at this hotel again.

CChubby Girl On Tour🛍️ The hotel is conveniently located just behind SAKURA MACHI Kumamoto and is a mere 10-minute walk from the main shopping street. It is also surrounded by tram stations, making travel easy and accessible.
🚙 Although the hotel does not have its own parking lot, it offers discounts at nearby parking facilities. I found it more convenient, however, to park at the lot directly in front of the hotel for 1,400 Yen per night, which is almost the same price as the hotel's discounted options.
🛌 The room size is typical for a Japanese hotel with two twin beds, but the bathroom is slightly larger than average. The only downside is that one of the beds is positioned too close to the window, meaning you'll sleep near the curtain, which is a bit dusty.

這家和山水木，新明館是同一個集團。
山水木和深山山莊緊鄰，在半山上，温泉源頭的位置。入住的話可以免費去山水木泡森林之湯。温泉質量超級好，湯花超級多
酒店提供免費接送服務。到達之前找攜程幫忙聯繫店家來巴士站接。第二天我們想去平野展望台，在前台比劃半天，店家直接開車送我們上去了，10分鐘車程，如果自己走的話，得一個小時，感恩！
另外checkin的時候前台還會幫忙預訂回程巴士的車票（黑川温泉到福岡/熊本每天班次不多，以防當天沒有位置，提前預訂好班次很有必要！），這點很好
餐食的話，比隔壁山水木豐富不少。第一天晚上是懷石料理，第二天晚上是番茄豬肉火鍋。兩天早餐也都不重樣，第二天餐食還送飲料。 有個紫蘇juice推薦可以嘗試，好喝！
房間的話，雖然也是10年老酒店了，但比起隔壁山水木的話，算新了不少。房間設施ok，第一天衞生間有點異味馬上工作人員就來處理好了。但吹風機太舊了！希望可以換一個新的

The staff at the ryokan were incredibly polite and always ready to help with anything we needed. Upon check-in, we were provided with traditional attire, pajamas, tabi slippers, bath amenities, and a small welcome treat with matcha and coffee. We also asked at the front desk if they could give us a ride to the bus stop after check-out, and they kindly said yes, of course.
Our room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. At first, we were planning to explore several other local onsens, but after experiencing the ones at the ryokan, we felt completely satisfied.
There are separate baths for hotel guests (men’s and women’s), baths open to both guests and visitors (also divided by gender), as well as a private onsen. One of the onsens also has a sauna.
The traditional dinner and breakfast were both impressive—delicious and very generous in portion.
The surrounding grounds are stunning, perfect for peaceful walks. This ryokan is a bit further from the main cluster of inns, but that was exactly what we wanted—to enjoy quiet walking.
At night, our futons were laid out for us, adding to the authentic experience.
The only reason I deducted one star is the very bright green light on the ceiling that stays on all night and can’t be turned off or covered. I didn’t have a sleep mask with me, and the ryokan didn’t provide one, so I had a sleepless night. It was quite unpleasant.
That said, I still highly recommend this ryokan—it’s an unforgettable place to stay.

VVieraskäyttäjäI honestly do not know where to start, I booked the hotel without really knowing much about Kumamoto Prefecture. After arriving in Kumamoto City and then realising Ueki Onsen is another 40 minute bus ride I was thinking oh dear where am I staying. After arriving at the hotel I was greeted by the manager of the hotel who showed me to my room and gave me a tour of the facilities. Once settled in I realised there isn't great public transport around and I primarily wanted to see Beppu and Yufuin during my stay, I enquired with the manager on where I might be able to rent a car, with little to no Japanese language under my belt he took it upon himself to reserve a vehicle for me and offered to drive me himself to collect it. He then also said he would take me back to return it a few days later. After my trips to Beppu and Yufui village (Not to be missed) and not to miss the outstanding and beautiful surroundings in Uekimachi and the Aso region. The manager and I set off to return my hire car, on the way back he took me to Kikuchi shrine to pray and also gifted me coffee and cake. They also accommodated me with use of the on site onsen (amazing) after hours as I'm heavily tattooed. I feel truly grateful to have found this hidden gem of rural Japan and if you are thinking of traveling this great country I emplore you to go off the beaten path. I experienced untold kindness during my stay and have memories of a life time. Thank you so much guys

FFlightSeekerBeautiful hotel with Mountain Views. The hotel looks spectacular and is very clean. The room is very spacious. Location is perfect as it shares the same building as the mall. You can use the lift which brings you directly to the mall. The mall has shops like Uniqlo, ABC Mart and many more, including a food court with various food options. There are 3 washing machines in both the male & female public onsen area, however it is pretty difficult to get a chance to wash your clothes. The hotel seems like a popular wedding venue, however it does not disrupt the stay as the guests do not seem to linger in the lobby at all. There’s a Nescafé coffee machine which you can help yourself to outside the public onsen, along with Kumamoto’s fresh spring water tap for drinking. For parking, please avoid the carpark infront of the mall as it is expensive. If you’re facing the mall, the hotel’s carpark is at the left side basement of the mall. The hotel provides a discounted price at off-peak periods. It’s best to leave your hotel before 12 noon. It is paid parking and there’s a ticket machine at the basement entrance of the hotel. The hotel location is perfect as it is also very close to a station.
