The hotel is very big with the very reasonable price.  However, the hotel don’t have ONsen and the staff could not communicate in English. The were trying to help but it took time. The city is very big. We like Masa21 mall nearby the hotel where you can go for dinner and shopping.

The onsen quality in Gero district is really superior. Skin feels very silky. The floor structure can feel confusing but we got used to it very quickly. The hotel offers good onsen and kaiseiki experience at economical price. Lots of local Japanese so it felt very authentic. The only downsides are 1. lack of entertainment options eg local performance, art & craft for young kids 2. Very crowded breakfast time. They could arrange different breakfast halls to divert the crowd or give timeslot tickets in advance.

Really nice staff, excellent breakfast buffet. A short walk to the station. A selection of nice sized rooms (a rarity in japan). Aircon worked well. A friend stayed at another (well reveiwed) hotel closer to the station, but they would not allow us into his room to visit. In contrast, quintessa staff were entirely welcoming, and visitors were not a problem for them Even allowed family to join us for the buffet breakfast. This is no highly polished luxury hotel - but it has wonderful staff, which is why we always stay there!

Easy walking to any tourist areas We have an wonderful vacation in Japan during the beautiful autumn season,nice people, great food and happy shopping, Thank you all to make us have an unforgettable travel memory. Hotel was excellent. Enjoyed our stay. Room was modern and comfortable. It has a little dining area where you can heat up food and coffee station. Location was great as long as you drive. it's a road station with everything you need.10min pleasant drive to Gujo centre and accessible to various ski resorts. Will book again.

We opted for the standard Japanese style room with experience sleeping on the futons which was an experience. Onsen facilities were great and offered certain degree of privacy during winter season. Not much of the Nagawagara river view given its winter

The location of this hotel is very close to the city centre. Walking time to the JR railway station is about 12-15 minutes. Room is very clean and tidy. Check in time is short. Breakfast is simple but good taste.

ギリギリの時間での夕食の予約でしたが、丁寧に対応していただきました。申し込み時の間違いにもすぐに対処して下さり、嬉しかったです。 ホテルのお風呂のフロアからは、長良川が目の前に見え、素晴らしい景色で驚きました。 お部屋のバスルームもステキでしたよ。 夕食も良かったのですが、朝食もまた良くて、朝からテンション上がります。 楽しい時間をありがとうございました。

Very traditional Japanese hotel with hot spring , hotel is well facilitated. Staff are very nice and welcome. Breakfast is full of choice and delicious. The view of every room is wonderful, especially we arrive at snowing day.
