Hotel J.B.

Pésimo hotel. No tienen información de todas las habitaciones en las apps, y por teléfono no dan la información, asumen q uno ya conoce. Tuvimos problemas con el agua. Primero no salía agua caliente y después se interrumpía el flujo de agua fría, haciendo que a medio baño saliera agua súper caliente de la regadera, haciendo imposible y hasta peligroso bañarse. Bichos en las habitaciones: mosquitos, avispas, cucarachas. Se oye la habitación de a lado. Se oye la gente de la alberca. No ponen orden a los huéspedes que no cumplen las reglas. La instalación eléctrica es inadecuada, si prendes una cosa se baja la luz. Los cuartos no tienen un estándar, puedes pagar lo mismo por 2 habitaciones dobles pero te puede tocar una de buen tamaño o una muuuuy pequeña que ni siquiera tiene los mismos elementos de la 1a. Del personal hay algunos amables y un señor en especial muy grosero, deberían quitarlo. El internet es de lo peor, hubo 2 días enteros que ni siquiera funcionó; y cuando lo hizo, súper lento e intermitente, para nada es de alta velocidad. El agua de la alberca muuuy caliente, aunque supongo q eso no es exactamente malo. Lo único bueno fue q la cama era cómoda y q podías llenar tu frasco de agua en recepción. En resumen, tienen muchas áreas de mejora pero no pienso volver

Worth the modest cost.

Relaxing and quiet location. Close to the beach, good restaurants in the area. Has an outdoor cooking are. The pool is nice to have. Great staff

Playa La Ropa is not a bad area to be in, as sections of Zihua go, but I would NOT choose this hotel. J.B. is overpriced for what you receive, which is not much -- a comfy bed, a clean pool, and a parking lot. J.B. is def no frills. The bathrooms, well, my bathroom...was god-awful; it resembled a bathroom at a truck stop...a small sink, a toilet, and a janky low-pressure shower, which for the first evening did not run hot water. (That had to fixed on the second day.) The hotel was mostly quiet during the day, but became progressively noisier as the evening wore on. In the early evening, it was the schmaltzy live music from the restaurant next door (I actually heard a heartfelt cover of "Let It Be" followed immediately by a heartfelt cover of "My Way". I'm not joking.) Later in the evening, it was the Australian doofus next door blaring episodes of SVU into the mid-night. (When he opened his door to hear my complaint, he's genuinely lucky I didn't punch him in the face.) Anyway, by the final night, I was...definitely ready to leave. A couple of recommendations for the hotel proprietors (if they read this): soundproof the rooms, renovate the bathrooms COMPLETELY, and put a fresh coat of paint on the interior walls. Doing these simple things will bring your place much more success!
