We had an overall wonderful experience traveling in China — until we stayed at this property.
1. Bait-and-switch on our prepaid room:
Upon arrival, we were told the water heater in our reserved room had not been turned on. Instead of fixing the issue, the manager assigned us to a different room — significantly smaller, older, and clearly a downgrade from what we prepaid. When we raised the issue with Trip.com, the property refused to offer any resolution or compensation. Trip.com however offered compensation from their side.
2. Poor room conditions, nothing like the photos:
The room was in disrepair. Faucets were loose and poorly mounted. There was no shower divider between toilet and bath (causing water to flood the entire bathroom), and to top that off the area around the toilet had no drainage. The caulking was visibly sloppy or missing altogether. Water pressure was weak, and it was nearly impossible to regulate the shower temperature. The space felt like it was maintained by an unqualified handyman, not a professional property team. Bed also had broken plank.
3. Cleanliness was unacceptable:
There was leftover trash from previous guests in our room — a basic hygiene failure. Also a slipper below bed from previous guest.
4. Misleading location perks:
While the hotel is near the airport, it is not within walking distance. You still need to book a taxi, so you get all the noise of the airport — including loud jet engines — with none of the convenience of actually being near airport.
5. Rude, unhelpful staff and false advertising:
The listing states “Free transfer services available,” but when we asked for drop off at airport, the staff bluntly told us we had to arrange our own transport. Even when we asked to borrow an umbrella to return upon checkout, we were refused. The overall attitude was dismissive and unaccommodating.
