Wenn du jemals das Bedürfnis hattest, dich wie in einem alten Film aus den 70ern zu fühlen – aber eben in einem Gefängnis – dann ist dieses Hotel dein Traumziel. Der gesamte Charme der „guten alten Zeit“ wurde beibehalten, inklusive der Ausstattung, die seit damals vermutlich nicht mehr angefasst wurde. Die „Gefängniswärter“ aka das Personal war zwar freundlich, aber die Aufmerksamkeit hätte man sich auch sparen können. Wer braucht schon Zimmerservice oder Toilettenpapier? Man gönnt sich ja sonst nichts! Eine Woche lang kein Reiniger oder neues Papier – ich war gezwungen, mich nachts wie ein Dieb zum zentralen Klo im Untergeschoss zu schleichen, um das essentielle Gut zu stehlen. Man fühlt sich gleich viel abenteuerlustiger! Die Dusche bot eine ganz besondere Erfahrung – ein **Spar-Erlebnis** der Superlative! Denn statt gewöhnlichem Leitungswasser strömte Salzwasser aus dem Hahn. Ein bisschen wie direkt aus dem Meer duschen, nur ohne den Strand davor. Wer braucht schon Wellness, wenn man mit Salzwasser täglich seine Haut peelen kann? Und die Handtücher... Nun, die waren wohl irgendwann einmal weiß, aber jetzt? Eher in einem nostalgischen Gelbton gehalten, vermutlich um den Vintage-Charakter des Hotels zu unterstreichen. Wer braucht schon saubere Handtücher, wenn sie Geschichten aus vergangenen Jahrzehnten erzählen? Der braune Fleck an der Wand? Tja, ein Mysterium, das ich auch nach einer Woche nicht lösen konnte. Aus Selbstschutz habe ich mich entschieden, nicht daran zu riechen. Für zusätzlichen Komfort wurde die Decke mit einem Snus garniert – vielleicht als Versuch, eine erfrischende Menthol-Atmosphäre zu schaffen. Immerhin innovativ! Für den zusätzlichen Nervenkitzel sorgten der Kühlschrank und die Toilette, die sich in einem Wettkampf um den Titel „Lauteste Maschine im Zimmer“ befanden. Diese Geräuschkulisse wurde nur von den Bauarbeitern getoppt, die um 6:00 Uhr früh gegenüber anscheinend am Bau des nächsten Gefängnisses arbeiteten. Vielleicht dachten sie, wir wollen uns wie zu Hause fühlen. Fazit: Wer eine authentische „Urlaub im Gefängnis“-Erfahrung mit einem Hauch von Nostalgie und Meerwasser aus dem Hahn sucht, der ist hier genau richtig. Alle anderen sollten sich gut überlegen, ob sie das Abenteuer wirklich wagen wollen.

Definitely wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. When we arrived we were given the wrong room and one person had to sleep on a camp bed. We were told this was tui’s fault. In the room we had dirty towels and bed sheets and the water was cold. After complaining multiple times at reception and to Tui. We were moved rooms the next day. The new room still wasn’t clean. We had no main working light which we reported and was left without for three days, we had issues with the aircon not turning off. We had blood splatters on the door. Multiple people we spoke with in the hotel had issues with the security guard, making people feel unsafe and dealing with issues in an unreasonable way. Different people got treated in different ways which was unfair. It is a party hotel but you get punished for doing so. Luckily we didn’t want to use it as self catering because it would have been had with no equipment. No food was served in the hotel until 12. Wouldn’t tell anyone to book this hotel.

Defo not worth one star. This must be the worst hotel I have stayed in. We were told it was 18 to 30s but what we got was just horrendous. Self catering but nothing in the room on arrival, had to request cups and a kettle. Were told that's because it's 18 to 30s and they don't use them. You couldn't self cater in it. Plus it was too scruffy to want to. Cupboard was broken which we reported ASAP as they have a super expensive breakage list pinned to the door. Towels stained as was the bedding. Room wasn't cleaned the whole stay we had to ask. I mean this is basic hygiene when you in a country where you can't put toilet paper down the loo and its 30 degrees. There definalty is not two pools surounded by loungers there is one with a small amount of loungers not enough for all quests I imagine. The other is a very small "whirlpools" or something which is tiny, it's sooo dirty you can't see the bottom and there was a rat drinking from it one day. Which we took a pic of. Also mentioned by another reviewer. We complained to the staff and rep. Neither of which gave a dam. The rep was rude and told us we got what we paid for. Which was actually falsely advertised, unclean and we didn't even want to spend time there. We were told to be moved we had to foot the bill. I was unwell with in three days which was probably due to the unhygienic conditions. Thank fully you can pool hop in Greece otherwise the holiday would have been a bigger disaster. If you enjoy this hotel you must be walking around with your eyes shut or have extremely low standards.
