Celia Apartments

A totally fantastic place, stunning views from the balconies and the great and clean pool area. Quiet and peaceful without crowds, the perfect hideaway on budget ! Manager Yannis is very friendly and helpful. He sent us information via Whatsapp in advance and explained even more at arrival. The female restaurant clerk is also lovely and the food is great for a good price. We didn´t try the breakfast as it is very early. The place is remote and we didn´t have a car but were well prepared and did some grocery shopping in Zante town before arrival with taxi (25 euro). One day we took the long, hot walk up the hills from Porto Kaminia beach (better way) enjoying the scenery. We ate at Windmill restaurant and visited Supermarket Andreas, whith has a good selection of food, drinks and souvenirs. We managed to catch a taxi outside back to Celia. All I really wish is a proper path by the sea to Porto Kaminia beach. Now it´s a real challence to get there balancing on the rocks partly in water. Don´t forget swimming shoes, impossible otherways ! Porto Zorro beach to the right is not worth visiting: crowded, loud music in the bar, pebble stones.Porto Kaminia beach to the left is greatwith free sun beds for restaurant customers. Just below the restaurant you can find a path in the sea with sand bottom all the way. Warm and clan water, nice food and drinks.The small "beach"closest to Celia consists of big stones on land and in water and seems difficult to swim at, we didn´t even try.

The area is excellent, the bed was not comfortable at all. Only 2 points of electricity to charge the phone, wifi is not stable. The shutter is old, makes noise, minimum light in the room. No TV. Wonderful swimming pool and very good food.

Before we arrived the owner sent us whats up message with general information. We arrived late around 22.00, I was informed that we cannot eat there dinner, as it was too late. The day after, very poor breakfast, with out any effort, bread, mortadella, hard-boiled eggs( cooked day before), yellow cheese, jam, butter, juice , coffee , tea. Nothing else, everyday the same. The girl who served the breakfast during our stay never smile, never left the bar to clean the trays. I was very surprised that every guest cleaning after them selfs from breakfast. Breakfast from 8- 9.30 but 9.15 almost completely empty, she's cleaning food very quickly and seems upset and stressed as I saw her after breakfast, cleaning rooms. We went to speak with the Yannis I guess he is the owner. He is hiding in his office behind the glass, I couldn't really see his face. Any of my questions, he mentioned that he sent me all info on whats. I asked him if he can order for us car and he said that all phone numbers been sent on whats up. Wasn't helpful at all. Yannis never left his office, working a few hours a day, he never came to his guest say hello, while we had it breakfast. He is just in his office and thats it. Firs day I reported him that the Bathroom is blocked and water is coming out on our floor. Hi said , he will report to the cleaner ( same girl who served breakfast). Never no-one came to fix it. Completely ignored. After the poor breakfast nothing is open here, no bar, no shop, no food, no water, no coffee, just nothing! The restaurant is open from 18 - 20 , only 2 hours a day. You are in the middle of nowhere and need car every day. The room was old and ugly, uncomfortable small beds, no cuttle in the room. Bathroom old, always blocked. All needs to be refurbish . Its nice view from balcony but this is the only good thing about this place. Lots of mosquito in the room. You cannot hear the sea waves relaxing noise, because on every balcony is air-conditioning working very loud. We just survived here 4 days as we had it Quad to travel all island. After 4 days when renting Quad was ended, we still want to enjoy at least the last 3 days ( paid for 7 days). We changed the hotel for very good hotel near us Porto Zorro Beach Hotel, almost same price but all-inclusive, everything was perfect and we were welcomed there. I'm very surprised that this property has a very good reviews and high score. I'm travelling lots and this was my worst experience ever. We all work hard to enjoy holiday time to time . Don't waist time and money for this place . Avoid !
