Exotica Hotel & Spa by Zante Plaza

My family and I stayed at this hotel back in October, we had a good time but the hotel, in my opinion was quite poor. Checking in was easy enough but we received no info about the hotel, just told to fill out papers and pay for tourist tax. Our room was ok. Good size and great view over the pool area, but that’s where the positives stop. Beds were hard, no drinking water available, sinks were in the same room as your beds and the ‘bathroom’ was a toilet and shower behind some frosted glass. The A/C unit was directly above our daughter’s bed, so if you had the A/C on during the night, she would wake up upset and freezing. The shower had no pressure, went from freezing cold to scalding, a decent flow to drips and completely stopping (had to check I hadn’t caught the off tap!!). And the smell. The smell from the drains in the shower was disgusting. And because the shower and toilet are just enclosed with half a pane of frosted glass, the smell fills your room. Many a night I was woke by the repulsive smell. When we were in our room we opted to keeping the balcony door open rather than the AC on!! The food was average… not much choice in my opinion and some of the meat was really questionable, it didn’t look at all like what was on the label. I took to eating plain pasta for the week. No branded drinks - all out of cheap aldi type branded bottles (no issue with aldi - but on holiday you expect coke!) Pool was fine and could always get a bed. We weren’t overly keen on the lifeguard - he was a bit too familiar with our little girl. Kept wanting to get in the pool with her to teach her how to swim - she’s already a confident swimmer. Whenever he would come to the area where she was, she would get out and come sit on her bed till he left - not good to make a little girl feel like this! Couldn’t fault any of the other staff though - they all appeared to work some very long hours but were always friendly and polite. We took to venturing out most days into the evening to get away from it all - not ideal when you’ve paid for all inclusive but have to pay extra for food and drinks all day just to have some decent stuff! Overall - I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Εξαιρετική επιλογή. Πήγαμε δύο ζευγάρια με δύο πεντάχρονα. Πραγματικά ότι καλύτερο έχω πάει σε all-inclusive πολύ καλή εξυπηρέτηση, ευγενεστατο προσωπικό. Πολύ ωραίο μπουφέ με επιλογές διαμορφωμένο σωστά Παρ όλο που είχε κόσμο πολύ δεν είχε ουρά ούτε τελείωνε κάτι. Ωραίες οι πισίνες. Δωμάτια νορμάλ, καθαρά, άνετα. Έχουμε κλείσει και φέτος ξανά.

Absolutely love love love it at the Exotica Hotel and Spa The hotel is spotless and literally only few mins walk away from the beautiful Kalamaki Beach. However what really makes this hotel so special not only to myself personally but also to alot of the guests who are regular annual visitors. They not only go above and beyond to make you feel welcome they most certainly came to my rescue on our last visit in September when my partner became critically ill. This year was our 4th year visiting and I truly don't know what I would of done or how I would of coped without the help, reassurance and comfort from a certain few of the staff that I've have the pleasure over the years to call friends ❤️ "My little Greek Family" Sofia Brazhdi (My little Greek Mamma), Alexis Vasilopoulos (The Lifeguard aka The Legend) and the beautiful bartender my girl Elsa Goriaeva And also the help and support of a few of the guests was truly heartwarming and I'm so grateful There was a review or two I've noticed left for the Exotica this year one of which I found to be not only far from the truth as I was actually there at the time but really quite upsetting regarding the lifeguard Alexis... he takes his job seriously and that's to be expected as a lifeguard especially when there are children in the pool that are left unattended and unsupervised. He's kind hearted and takes alot of pride in his job and still takes time to learn some of the kids new skills when he can. The hotel is spotless, the facilities are fab and the staff are not only truly professional but will do there best to accommodate you and are so friendly, welcoming and hard working. Can't wait to visit again next year!

Really Poor Experience. Driven mainly by the attitude of Managers at the hotel front desk. Poor Hospitality. I'm really laid back.....but I can't accept rudeness. Day one no towels available for pool .....laundry is broken.....suggest you buy beach towels from shop next door. No problem. Done purchased used all week. No appogy My Room..... Tired..... Shower......not worked properly all week. Reported to Hotel desk......assured I don't know to work it properly....day 1. MY FAULT. Sorry it appears as a well Travelled 48yr old.......I can work a shower.....not fixed all week parts ordered never fixed. Had to chase daily housekeeping.....room cleaned and fresh towels.... Organisation of an Ironing Board......4 requests in one day.....gave up. Pictures do not represent tired nature of premises..... It was just really poor

Great hotel with amazing staff throughout. We had a fantastic view of the complex including the sea. Food was delicious everyday catering for everyone's needs there was nothing they didn't have. Pool was lovely although freezing and rooms were cleaned everyday with fresh sheets and towels every other. Definitely would recommend

Me and my husband recently spent a week at the Exotica firstly I must say the all inclusive drinks was very weak. My husband said you could never get drunk on the beer and the cocktails taste like water. Secondly the restaurant doubled up as an entertainment room at night which wasn't big enough. We had a lovely experience in the spa after having a full body massage and myself having a manicure and pedicure. Mary at reception was very welcoming and friendly and always willing to help. We had a lovely room room on bottom floor where our terrace/ patio doors led straight on to pool and bar which was lovely just watch out for the stray cats! All together it wasn't a bad stay very close to the strip where you can get a proper drink ;)
