Mia Motel

The first night we stayed in a triple room, it had been upgraded and was very clean and modern. The owner was very polite annd helpful. Our stay was very enjoyable. The room was quiet and comfortable. A couple of nights later when we returned , we were given a room that was not as nice and not upgraded. The guests in the rooms around us were extremely loud and made so much noise late into the night that it was difficult to get any sleep. We chose to leave and find another motel for the night. The owner was still very gracious but we did not want to create any problems and felt it safer to find another motel.

I spent few months in this motel while I was travelling around Australia. The lady on the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and clean with very comfortable bed. They provide a fully equipped kitchen with oven, microwave, fridge and bbq area. There is also a self laundry with washing machine and dryer. I would stay at this motel again!

We booked here because of the reviews & very reasonable $95 price. The rooms were clean - thankfully!!! Cleaners were nice. However there are so many signs of a lazy owner /manager it's very lacking. Curtains off the hooks, broken swings, unfinished painting, rubbish lying around everywhere - tin, containers, etc etc. At check in male owner/manager was wearing torn t shirt & looked scruffy. Could be friendlier and with a lot more energy to clean up office & grounds. Lucky the room was clean, pool clean, good TV and although basic it was a fair stay. Could easily be great!

I booked a 2-night stay at Mia Motel four months ago via ***********, and my reservation was confirmed with no issues. However, on the day of check-in at 2:30 PM, I received a message through *********** stating that they had made a mistake with the pricing and would now require an additional $70 per night for the booking to proceed. This was absolutely unacceptable. Not only was this an incredibly last-minute change, but it caused a great deal of stress for my family of four, forcing us to scramble for alternative accommodation at the eleventh hour. We had no choice but to find a new place to stay, which is a huge inconvenience and disruption to our trip. What frustrates me the most is that Mia Motel did not honor their original booking and instead tried to pass the blame onto their pricing error. A reputable business should take responsibility for its mistakes and not try to make guests pay the price for their errors. I strongly advise against booking at Mia Motel as there's a high risk they might pull the same stunt on you, leaving you stranded and out of pocket. Extremely poor customer service, and they clearly don’t value their customers.

The lovely little gem of a motel. The rooms look to have had an updating and were clean and neat. The swimming pool and communal kitchen area were nice additions. There was a coined guest laundry on-site. Not right downtown by close enough to great restaurants and attraction.

Really needing some TLC. Bathroom clean and good hot water. Bed comfortable however the bed linen very thin and blankets and bedspreads certainly could do with updating. Could say we felt they really are catering for tradies. Not really a fresh psoriatic in the room.
