Very welcoming Very clean The rooms are extremely comfortable Wi-Fi is spot on all day and night And it situated in a nice quiet spot at the back away from the busy life and noise of Yeovil Perfect location for getting food or running to the shops

Myself and My son stay here and , this hotel is the most lovely hotel , the staff go above and beyond to help you, everyone is friendly and caring and , the housekeepers are amazing lovely girls also , every day without fail they give you fresh toiletries, towels check on you and everyone at the hotel including the managers are lovely , we are in a lovely location and setting also for a family stay. We were referred to this hotel when hotel we had booked was not suitable. The manager, Meg, went out of her way to make sure we were satisfied. The room (a twin - No 15) was outside with parking in front. No food available, but Meg informed us of several options for dinner (see Castellos) and breakfast nearby. Hotel and room was very clean and welcoming.

Excellent service from start to finish. Meg was exceptional throughout, always replied very quickly and answered any questions throughly. Service on the day was 5 star and the food was amazing, especially the home made quiches and cakes. Everyone who attended commented on the great service and food. Would highly recommend The Preston Hotel for any celebration needs.

Hotel has a strange feel about it, reception and access is restricted to after 4pm. I turned up at 3.50pm and despite knocking nobody opened up until exactly 4pm. Receptionist said she couldn’t open due to manager having a meeting. Receptionist pleasant enough, however manager walked past twice and no effort to engage or even a cursory good afternoon which is not a welcoming attitude. Hotel very dated looking and rooms whilst being clean are okay, however the furniture does leave a lot to be desired. I was in a “deluxe room” which was stretching the imagination somewhat, made me wonder what the “ordinary” rooms were like🤔 Lowest bed I have ever had in a hotel room, made getting out of bed in morning challenging for a 73 year old with a bit of arthritis. The coffee table was about a foot high making it a trip hazard, I moved it away from the middle just in case I had to get up in the night. Beware of hot water, it is scalding hot😵‍💫 Shower was okay once I got temperature set right. Cannot comment on food as I did not eat here. Unlikely that I would want to stay here again which is a shame.

All at the Preston Hotel were amazing, we had a great stay. Rooms were clean tidy and spacious for our football team to share. Meg was a fantastic organised host meeting all our needs, the freshly cooked breakfast was excellent, compliments chef. We would use this hotel again. Many thanks.

Booked the Preston Hotel for the venue of my girlfriends 30th Birthday Party. Meg, the owner was very nice and accommodating and offered a very good package for the occasion. We chose to do our own food, which Meg kindly allowed us to do but said that if we needed extra, they could cook it for us. The space itself was lovely, with the bar and seating area being off to one side and the dance floor & food area on the other side of the open space. Luckily the weather was gorgeous so Meg opened up the doors and windows for people to use the outside decking and seating area too. Had lots of family and friends staying in the hotel itself, which Meg offered a special discount for due to the party. She allowed me to go in ahead of the party and use their entertainment system to set up a music playlist and put up decorations. The bar staff were very friendly and kept everyone topped up with lots of different drinks. Thank you Meg for a lovely evening. Hopeful to visit again soon.

Stayed only for 1 night, but was very impressed by both the staff and the room. Staff were both very friendly and attentive. The room was nice and bright and clean and smelled lovely. Breakfast was plentiful and very nice. Will definitely be staying here again when we come back to Yeovil.

We stayed here on a room only basis as we were attending a party in the area. The room was clean & tidy if a little dated but perfectly adequate. We had not booked for breakfast as we were meeting friends for brunch but wanted a cup of coffee in the garden while we waited for them. This was during breakfast time, when coffee was being served to diners. We were asked if we were having breakfast & when we said no, the lady told us we couldn't have a coffee & we had to wait half an hour while they finished breakfast service. Had we suddenly decided to have breakfast, we would have been able to have coffee with it so I cannot understand why they could not manage just two on their own, for which we would have paid, of course. We went to a pub down the road instead & were served very nice coffee, in the middle of their breakfast service, with a smile & a welcome.
