Crathorne Hall

Enjoyed our 13th wedding anniversary at the Crathorne Hall Hotel. We stayed two nights from 13-14 May and checked out on Thursday, 15 May. The Staff was amazing, the minute we checked in and out, we had drinks in the bar, service was Excellent, and we dined in a restaurant for two nights, and we enjoyed the food on both nights. We would like to say a big thank you to all the staff, Alan and Boiwa Hanna Tia, and the kitchen team, Matt, as well as reception, Krista, and Emma, and Alice, and Byron, you look after us on our last night, thanks to Gloria for the service. Afternoon tea and breakfast on both mornings, thanks to Victoria booking for our room, stephen, me, Caroline, and the whole team were amazing, thanks to Claire for making our 13th wedding anniversary cake, it was beautiful for us

A lovely stay in beautiful surroundings A lovely stay in a beautiful building. The service was excellent, and the room was very comfortable. One or two issues arose with the quality of the food (specifically temperature at both dinner and breakfast), but I would happily return for another stay.

Beyond outstanding Crathorne Hall is a beautiful hotel with charming grounds and surroundings The one thing that makes Crathorne Hall special however, is their staff There are very few places now with such brilliant and dedicated staff who give an old world level of service that you cannot find in many places anymore. I lost count of the number of times our friends and family commented on how splendid the staff are, and how "they just can't do enough for you" From the moment you arrive, you receive a marvellous welcome in reception, thank you to Hannah, Olivia and Emma on reception, who are such a warm professional team. They made us feel at ease and kept tabs to make sure that everything was as expected. Also then special mention to Gloria who was in the bar area when we arrived. It was quite busy but she made room for us. We were booked in for dinner, so didn't need a full meal, but many of the group felt they would like something to eat after travelling and Gloria went off to find hot fresh scones for us which were absolutely delicious and went down a treat after a long journey. Gloria is just so lovely, friendly and welcoming and makes sure that everyone is looked after. Her smile lights up the room. She makes sure every little detail is tended to, especially for the chldren and those with dietary requirements. She even remembered that I liked Earl Grey tea at breakfast which arrived and then brought a fresh pot of tea after breakfast with hot water as she remembered that I liked my tea not too strong. It's the attention to detail and the availability and care of the staff which makes the place so special. On the first evening, Byron and Martin were on duty when we arrived for dinner at the restaurant, it was busy and we had 2 big tables full of family, including 2 small children. Everybody commented on how Byron and Martin could not done anything more to make sure that the children were catered for and made to feel incredibly special. I think my little great niece had 4 dinners because she couldn't decide from the range of choices; so they made sure she had a little taste of all her favourites. On the day of the wedding, Alan was in charge and was so organised making sure everything ran smoothly, to time and that it was all the way that we wanted it to be. He arranged everything with such attention to detail, and if you asked for something he made sure it was sorted very efficiently. He is calm and organised keeping everything flowing. When we came back to the hotel from church, all the staff were ready and made every guest feel special. I overheard so many guests saying how beautiful the grounds are and as the sun came out, the staff served drinks and canapes on the lawn - it was just perfect. The wedding meal itself was absoltutely deicious and everything was piping hot, well presented and of an extremely high standard - which for a large group of over 90 people was amazing. Sometimes food for a large group can be a bit average,

To say our wedding day was perfect is an understatement! Thank you so so much to Aurora and the whole team for giving us the day of our dreams. Before the day, the communication was excellent and it was so easy to get hold of someone via call/email - which we were very grateful for as we live far from the venue. Every little detail was thought of by the venue, they worked with our suppliers and did all of the important leg work. Thank you so much to the amazing, friendly and professional team. The staff on the day went above and beyond and we will truly remember this day for the rest of our lives ❤️

Just had a lovely relaxing afternoon tea with my two daughters. I’m a vegetarian and my option was delicious. Plenty of tea refills. The staff were all lovely, very attentive, well presented and friendly. We had the table as long as we wanted and the tables were nicely spaced so you didn’t feel on top of anyone. It’s a lovely setting and I would definitely recommend it. Also the Sunday dinners looked amazing so I will be returning to try one.

Stayed at Crathorne with my girlfriend and the whole hotel and grounds are absolutely stunning. However I can't praise the staff enough, they really made the whole thing feel like it was one big beautiful family. Special shoutouts to Bowha and Gloria who seemed like they could speak to anybody with customer service skills second to none (Bowha made an awesome Long Island Ice Tea so extra points there), Gilmar who recommended a fantastic wine that went down a treat in the bar and Emma and Krista at the front desk that made the whole check-in experience a doddle while getting laughs the entire time. All the staff members seemed to know the guests individually could help with any questions about the hotel they had. 10/10 I'll definitely be coming back again
