La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Yakima Downtown

They are renovating this hotel and the upgrades are nice! The room was extremely clean, staff very helpful and friendly. The price for the night was great and I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely accommodations. We were quite comfortable in our clean and well designed room. The king size bed and pillows were clean and comfortable. GreatShower. The check in and checkout were quick and simple. The Wi-Fi was good and easy to connect to it. The pool and hot tub are open 24 hrs. The breakfast had a good variety and the staff was Accommodating to any requests or questions.

The room was clean and roomy. I had a king. Ample lighting. I especially like the little bedside reading lights. Unfortunately, the walls are very thin and you can hear absolutely everything, every hallway conversation, every thumping footstep. Also, pets are allowed, which I don’t mind. What I do mind is dogs barking at 0600. The area is walkable with some decent restaurants and bars nearby. At night, the drag racers or VERY loud cars come out.

I will say that the fault here is really Expedia’s, not the property’s, but when I booked on *******, it said that this property had tub/shower, combos in the king rooms, so I booked here. However, we got here and not only is the property under construction and noisy, and the breakfast area is completely messy with Waffle batter, but the “renovated“ king rooms, which I specifically booked for the tub, don’t have tubs anymore. They offered us another room with a tub, but my hubby would have had to sleep on a rollaway. So don’t trust ******* with their descriptions. And don’t come to this property until 2024 when it’s finished and is a La Quinta instead of a Ramada.

The place was clean and staff were friendly and efficient. I forgot a favorite yellow rain jacket and the very accommodating staff, specifically Magaly, talked to the housekeeping staff who found my jacket. They mailed the jacket to my home so I have it back. We will definitely stay at the Ramada again the next time we go to Yakima.

Great front desk customer service from Eric each time more customer service like his is needed in places. And updated rooms are amazing. Keep it up. Glad to see the remodeling getting done so fast and the pool and hot tub open 24/7. And. Breakfast each day. Is good

We come into Yakima area several times a year due to family in the area. We usually stay at 1 of 2 different hotels, but this time I thought heck we'll try something different, it's a Ramada, how bad could it be? We got in a little earlier than check in time, I reserved a king w/sofa bed, I don't know if it wasn't available at the moment or if they didn't have any left, the gal checking us in didn't specifically say. She just said she could offer me 2 queen beds at the same price (I know they were a few dollars more a night), but we wanted at least just the king bed, we didn't need the sofa bed. She said she could do that. I asked if it was a different price, she said she would keep it at the same rate. I didn't debate her knowing that she just downgraded us but didn't downgrade the price. I know from when I was booking that a king room without the sofa bed was at least $24 cheaper for the 2 nights because I had actually asked my friend which one should I get and pay what price. But we needed to get in the room early so we just let it go. Upon going up to the room, you can tell the walls, carpets needed updating. The elevator could use some too. Ok, so the room. She said it was one of the newly renovated rooms. Ok, it was nice I guess. Minus the boot print in the bathroom and the big open hole in the bathroom where the vent was supposed to be. Unfortunately I forgot to mention that to them on check out. I also forgot to mention that the power outlet on one side of the bed was out too. Guess I just wanted to get out of there. But otherwise if it was working, it was nice that there is a little shelf on both sides of the bed with 2 different lights, power outlet with usb plug ins. This isn't a deal breaker, since we're not there to watch TV but it would have been nice to figure out that first night. The channel guide was on channel 3, it only listed maybe 20 channels, so we didn't bother looking for anything else to watch. We found out the next morning (from another family member that also stayed here) that there were more channels, you had to go to channel 57 to get the next page of the channel guide. How would one know to jump from channel 3 to 57?? So, wait, there's more. The 2nd night we decided to check out the hot tub. There were no towels, we had to go back to front desk to ask for them. Most hot tubs aren't hot enough, but this seemed to be at a nice temperature. However you couldn't set the timer for the jets, I think it was permanently stuck. We get in, and I notice that someone left their bra pads on the edge, and cookie wrapper on another end. We were sitting more towards one corner when I decided to move around.... at the other end were ANTS!!! many of them!!! I moved back to the other end but after a few minutes I couldn't do it, I had to get out. My husband got out a few mins later. He looked down the side of the corner and floor and there were more!!! We got out and told the front desk gal. She didn
