Bellavista Farmhouses Gozo

From the very moment we stepped foot onto the property, our experience turned into an unfortunate ordeal. Regrettably, the house itself was far from being in a desirable state; to add to our dismay, even the sofa was broken. The pool, which should have been a source of enjoyment, was dishearteningly dirty, and the owner's explanation blaming the wind did little to alleviate our disappointment. Compounding our frustration, the air conditioning in the living room was outdated and non-functional. Contacting the owner for assistance only led to a dismissive response, suggesting we make do with fans or open doors for a breeze. This proved to be the tipping point, as we reminded her that we had paid for a service, and what we were encountering fell far short of acceptable standards. Sadly, the owner's demeanor towards us took a turn for the worse, displaying a noticeable lack of courtesy. Consequently, we felt compelled to abandon the property, opting to secure an alternative farmhouse on the very same day. Eventually, the owner refunded our payment due to our inability to endure the lack of air conditioning. This unfortunate experience has left an indelible mark, ensuring that we will not consider returning to this property. Given the amount we paid, we are fully aware that there are numerous more luxurious options available in Gozo.

Hello Reviewers! I want to share my recent stay at Bellavista Farmhouse, and it was not a good one. My family and friends booked this farmhouse for a weekend, hoping for a great time, but it turned out to be quite disappointing!!! * False Advertisement: The pictures we saw online were misleading. The actual farmhouse looked old and not well maintained, unlike what we saw in the pictures. * Uncomfortable Sofa: The sofa in the living room was in really bad shape. The cushions were all worn out, making it uncomfortable to sit. * Broken Air Conditioning: The air conditioner was old and didn't work at all. We contacted the owner about this, and their response was not good. They didn't apologize and said they couldn't help with the air conditioning until our departure * Unclean Shower Room: The shower room was rusty and not clean. It was not a pleasant experience using it. On top of these issues, the owner was really rude. When we told them about the broken air conditioner, they didn't care and didn't even apologise. They dismissed our concerns and told us to keep the doors open instead of fixing the air conditioning. The offered us a fan, for the open plan when we are 10 persons.. The overall condition of the farmhouse was disappointing, and it was clear that it hadn't been taken care of properly. It was frustrating that the owner didn't take our concerns seriously and tried to blame us by saying that previous guests didn't complain. In the end, we had to leave the farmhouse. Thankfully, we found another place called Pergola Farmhouse, which was a much better experience. They were welcoming and the place was clean and beautiful too. I hope this review helps others know about the problems we faced at Bellavista. It's important to be aware of these issues before booking. Thanks

Excellent place, very comfortable and in a quiet area. Our farmhouse Ta Salvu was clean throughout and Janette is so helpful checking us in and giving us all the information that we needed. February was a little cold but the air conditioning kept us warm (it works with a prepaid card meter). The houses are very close to the center, we enjoyed a couple of wonderful meals at different places there during our stay. Gozo is a very quaint island itself, easy to get around with a car. Totally recommend it during the carnival time, it seems the whole island becomes vibrant with several activities in Victoria - the capital city of Gozo. We were told by some locals that usually February is a quiet month so we were quite lucky to stumble upon carnival time during our holiday. We would definitely consider staying there again!

February was a little cold for our comfort but the air conditioning kept us warm (it works with a prepaid card meter) . The houses are very close to the center, we enjoyed a couple of wonderful meals at different places there during our stay. Gozo is a very quaint island itself, easy to get around with a car. An oasis of calm in a mad world, we have been visiting Xaghra for 44 years and on this occasion decided to find a farmhouse with private pool All of our contact with the manager Jeannette was first class, from initial enquiry to our last day of our stay, a lady who knows how to care about clients and their needs and is a credit to BellaVistaFarmhouses Between initial contact and arrival, I raised several queries about our arrival, plus additional request for Prosecco for our 44th wedding anniversary on our arrival day We arrived at 03:30 in the morning due to flights and ferries, but were still greeted by Jeannette and shown our farmhouse Our farmhouse Ta Roza, was comfortable and well prepared, with a twin and a double room both en-suite, a pleasant lounge/dining area / kitchen and a large private pool on the patio which looked directly towards The Citadel and Victoria Allocated Car parking underground opposite the property Can’t fault the property or location and hope to return very soon In all a memorable two weeks and excellent value Thanks to Jeannette and all staff 👍

Le sens d'hostilité de la directrice est plus que déplorable. Équipements de la maison insuffisant pas de micro-ondes, pas de cafetière, pas de bol machine à laver commune mais il faut la chercher car aucune information ne vous sera données. Vaisselles pour 8 pas un exemplaire en plus. Plancha avec de la nourriture restant des anciens locataires. Écoulement des douches trop petit donc inondations des salles de bain. Parasol très petit avec pied cassé. Climatisation sous forme de carte 5 euros la carte qui sonne dès que le crédit est épuisé donc réveil vers 7h cool pour des vacances. Prévoyez faire les courses dès votre arrivée car rien ne reste dans la location (sel,poivre, huile....) à croire que la directrice prend tout pour elle entre chaque changement de locataire Bref une vue magnifique sur la citadelle c'est tout le positif que l'on retiendra de cette location
