The place itself is a nice setting and I can’t fault the staff who were very attentive and polite. However when it came to the food the leg of lamb that I thought it was going to be turned out to be 3 small slices of dry pieces of lamb, the vegetables were bland with no seasoning and the potatoes were ok. I would have given this three stars but then the bill came and it was £103 for three of us and the service charge on top which isn’t ideal. We had starters and a main and no pudding. A real shame because again the staff were spot on but the food really let it down and for that price, I could go to Toby Carvery for cheaper and more bang for your buck as well as tasting better.

Excellent accommodation in the centre of Wooton Old hotel in the centre of town - the accommodation was of a very good standard. Staff were good and the food was equally good. Nothing to say negative at all - I would recommend and stay here again.

Not ready to be occupied First time I've done a review, I felt I had to. The place is going to be great for sure, but it's still being developed. The actual room is lovely and cannot be faulted, brand new and immaculate. But the route to the room is a building site, the environment isn't ready, there is stuff everywhere and no heating. The room had no heating switched on when I entered it, it was freezing, this was soon remedied when the electric storage heaters where turned on. This should have been done prior to my arrival. The biggest problem was there was no internet available in the room, this is unheard of in 2025. As I was on business this meant I was unable to work. The room was £102 with no parking, no internet, no breakfast, and in the middle of a building site outside the actual room I stayed in. As I said, the room itself was perfect, but was it worth £102.....no.

Really nice stay, stayed here with two friends.We ate in the restaurant on the Saturday night, the food was really nice. Mine and my friends room were really nice with a lovely high spec shower. Breakfast was nice. Staff were helpful, chatty, and friendy. Would reccomend.

Booked a table in the bar for 12pm …. Always book the bar , it’s got more atmosphere. Picked the table right next to the log fire , very cosy … Lots of free tables but soon started to fill up … Menu choice very good , and very well priced . Coffee excellent
