The Burlington

The Ferring Gardening Club held its Annual Lunch this year in the Burlington Sapphire Room. We were greeted by friendly staff and made very welcome. The food was delicious with generous portions, and excellent service. We will be back next year!

We stayed in room 307 which was the worst room I’ve ever stayed in for a 4 star hotel! Also when u stand in the shower which is a shower over bath your head touches the ceiling and the shower is at ur waist! It’s Crazy! Not fit for purpose… service in general at the reception and restaurant/bar is poor, staff doubling up on jobs! Waited ages for our bill in the restaurant, no one at reception frequently and when the reception is there they’re not knowledgeable or hospitable! Female manager was also coasting around but not attentive to her staffs poor service, Food and service in the restaurant was average, the breakfast service was much better, amenities in general were 3 star at best! This is not a 4 star hotel! Would not recommend or stay ever again…:

I treated my parents to afternoon tea following a recommendation. Excellent value for money, they had to take a doggie bag home ! lovely presentation, staff member Lucas made sure our every need was met and his colleagues were friendly and polite. thoroughly recommend !!

The staff make this a stand out hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable and very reasonably priced. From start to finish the young staff team made our stay the best experience. Ollie on reception could not have been more helpful and the waiting staff were friendly and efficient. We had breakfast for the three days of our stay and every dish we tried was lovely. We also had dinner twice and the food was wonderful - beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. Perfect place for a short seaside break.

we had the best day of our lives at the burlington hotel,its absolutely beutiful for wedding venue,Mitchell and the staff were very kind and friendly,she always listened to what we wanted and was very flexible ,gave us good advise throughout the process,made the wedding planning less stressful.We are so greatful to the team for giving us a PERFECT WEDDING! Me and my now husband met for our first ever date at The Burlington so this was the only place I had my heart set on for our wedding dinner and reception and they definitely did not disappoint. From the moment I contacted Michelle I felt at ease and honestly did not have to worry about anything. I had absolutely no idea what to expect on the day of our wedding but the day was so much more than we could have hoped for. Everything ran like clockwork. The dining area looked so beautiful with the chair ribbons and table pieces that the hotel supplied and I'm so glad that we didn't go for anything extra on the tables as it would have taken away from the detail of the rooms. The dinner was absolutely amazing with massive portion sizes, usually wedding dinners are like starters! The staff were incredible, all of our guest made comments on how attentive and helpful staff members were, service was absolutely faultless.. We moved onto the coral lounge for the evening reception where we had a buffet and sweet buffet. Again plentiful food and of high quality. The onsite dj kept the dance floor busy and the room was tastefully decorated. We stayed in the family room which was decorated to a high standard with amazing sea views. I honestly can't thank Michelle and her team enough for making our wedding day so special.

Very good in all respects. We stayed two nights on a b&b basis and were really pleased with our experience. The breakfasts were notable. Wide choice from the buffet, including cheese & cold meat & lovely bread rolls and the cooked offerings were superb, notably the eggs florentine: beautifully presented & utterly delicious. Plenty of staff who were well trained & obliging, notably Harley, Louis & Ollie. The room was fine, especially considering the relatively modest price point. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed for 2 nights, attending a wedding (elsewhere) and reception at the hotel, and from check in to check out I cannot find anything to criticise (except perhaps the lack of parking, but it is an old building and parking wasn't an issue when it was built). The room was spacious, with a well appointed bathroom, and a good view of the sea. The bed was comfortable, and I had a restful sleep, both nights. Breakfast was a combination of self service continental breakfast, and cooked to order items. I had an English breakfast and it was very good. The staff were all very pleasant, Michelle the manager should be congratulated for having such a good team. The wedding reception was also very good, with a good buffet, and again attentive staff. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel, and when I next visit will be sure to eat in the restaurant.

I have stayed at the Burlington previously... it never fails to live upto expectations. As always, the rooms are clean, well maintained with great bath rooms and plenty of space. The food in the restaurant was superb and there is a vast selection of drinks. Breakfast is also very tasty, along with a full selection of cooked, continental with an area of drink choices. My only criticism would be the temperature of the coffee... But it is a minor point. Location wise - it sits right on the beach front with wonderful views. Parking is at a premium, but there are options available within the surrounding area. The family are always very helpful and willing to assist in anyway they can.
