Abel's Harp

My daughter and her now husband picked Abel’s Harp as their venue, from the moment we arrived the day before the wedding Jordyn was phenomenal! nothing was too much trouble. The whole wedding was just stunning and we were blessed with superb weather for the outdoor ceremony. The food was great and there was plenty of it. The atmosphere was relaxed and the chef not only prepared and cooked all the food but happily drove us up the hill to the ceremony. We could not of asked for a more perfect day and that was down to not only the building with its lovely rustic decor, the weather and the team working that day, but the precision timings and the kind, positive and supportive attitude of Jordyn who went above and beyond the whole weekend. I would say to anyone considering Abel’s harp to go for it you won’t be disappointed. Thank you Jordyn and the team at Abel’s harp for making special memories of my daughter’s wedding day.

Myself and my new husband got married at Abel's Harp on 5th October with their 'Wedfest' package. Our day was better than we could have imagined and that’s no small part to Abel’s harp and the team you’ve put together. From the day we booked our wedding to the day we personally found jade (manager) to be attentive and thorough in making sure everything was as we wanted. We found Jordyn to be brilliant on the day before and on the wedding day. It was really our perfect wedding and we couldn’t have asked for more. All our guests complimented us on the day and choice of venue. One thing we kept hearing was “it was the most chilled wedding I’ve been”. That was exactly what we wanted and that’s is in no small part to Abel’s harp. We can’t thank you enough in helping make our day as amazing as it was.

This review is as honest as i can make it.My family attended the mamma mia evening on Sunday 11th August.We were all excited and and expected a professional fun packed evening.We DID NOT ! The night started off bad and got worse as the night went on ,we arrived on the time stated in advert no body to great us eventually was told they were not ready and go into bar which we did nobody was about to serve us so after 15 minuets we sat out side at last a person arrived but no was just more guests who also did not know where to go.At last we climber the big hill to the nights fun packed evening to be greeted by a lady in grubby trainer,s and socks we sat at tables that were in honestly nicely decorated but on looking around noticed whole site was very dirty rusty swing,sheds that had one bed in that needed updating and a good coat of paint,the whole place could do with a face lift .No toilets a stiff walk back down hill to hotel where toilets could be found smelling of urine thank goodness i did not need to use shower1.I think at least some hand gel at top of hill would not come a miss.Food was ok not bad but also not good dried up mince with burnt topping was supposed to be moussaka half way through night chicken was cooked on barbque next to fish then served by the DJ together on same plate we did not eat much as one tea light does not keep the insects away.Food was covered in them and no covers on dished .The night got worse no waiters the DJ was trying his best but to be honest he could not cook serve and DJ all at the same time.Only put tape on of Abba music then sang songs that had nothing to do with a mamma mia evening .The evening finished with karaoke and ended at 10.45 not late at all even had complaint about noise from neighbour.How this venue stays open is a mystery to us and i agree with other guests at the event was an very expensive experience a trip to a back street pub would be more fun .I have emailed but no response i am very tempted to inform hygiene standards agency .If you have a wedding planed please choose somewhere else,

To anyone thinking of getting married at Abel’s Harp I cannot recommend the venue enough! With the help of the staff I managed to plan a wedding in just 5 weeks due to a family illness. From the second I enquired the staff could have not been more helpful with all my wants and needs. A Facebook group was set up where anything could be discussed and was always answered straight away which I found very useful. To anyone involved in our wedding I can’t thank you enough. I can’t believe how perfect it was and the weather just topped it. It exceeded all of our expectations & more. The attention to detail and all the little extras was just perfect. Things like fans for the guests as the temperature was very high on the day. Nothing is over looked or too much trouble. The most beautiful venue in the most stunning surroundings. All the guests commented on this. My guests all stayed over at the venue which was an added extra. Beautiful rooms in the main building and very comfortable glamping huts close by with a huge hot tub. We opted for a twilight wedding on the outdoor ceremony area with the most spectacular views. We then chose a grazing table which could have fed 100s! The food was fantastic! Extra shout out to Jade and Jordyn for just being there through the day checking on everyone and feeling like a close friend. A day none of us will forget. Thank you again 👰🏻🫶

We had the most amazing wedding day at Abel's Harp in May! So many memories made. It was truly fantastic. The staff were amazing right from the start when dealing with all my questions and helping me organise when we booked the venue 11 months prior. They continued being amazingly helpful right up to supporting guests on the day and even dealing with last minute changes. They were all amazing with helping set up on the Friday ready for our Saturday wedding. I really didn’t have to do much at all it was great, and even during the day, it was stress free for me. We just want to say a massive thank you to everyone involved in helping us prepare for our special day, and once again a huge thank you to all the staff that weekend at Abel’s Harp for making it THE BEST DAY!

We recently had our wedding at Abel's Harp and it was just perfect. From the very beginning when we were looking at venues, we fell in love with the 'quirkiness' of Abel's Harp! Our day was very well organised and went perfect! The events team Jade, Claudia and Jordyn were all amazing and nothing was too much effort! All the staff were so friendly and polite! The facebook messenger group for questions and information works really well! The quirky charms sold it too us and the layout worked perfectly, the snug for those that need a break or the older guests and the courtyard for the kids to play in, we brought bubbles for the kids aswell and these went down a treat! The fact that Abel's Harp is not a massive hotel, sold it to me! It isn't corporate, it's unique! And the option of getting married outside overlooking the shropshire hills was just beautiful! The food was amazing and generous portion sizes. We had an absolutely amazing time and would recommend Abel's Harp to anyone! The team are lovely and made our day perfect! Well done to all of you.
