Washington Central Hotel and Sleepwell Inn

Six course taster menu was outstanding , really showing off the experience of the chefs!! Fantastic service and ate lots of things I wouldn’t usually try and loved them!! Would highly recommend when they offer this, we will be booking for the next one and bringing our friends !

Dining options was limited unlike the other stays like premier Inn etc where we get attractive breakfast. There were no toothpaste and brush set kept in bathroom where they will be kept in most of the hotels. Apart from the above, stay was excellent

We booked a table of 8 in the Bistro/Restaurant to celebrate an informal baby shower. On the day, the staff looked after us really well. The girl who served us was brilliant, so special thanks to her. We all had lasagne and veggie lasagne with various sides and it was all beautifully cooked. They also put some balloons on the table that I had dropped off in the morning, so went the extra mile. Only feedback was being asked for a pre order on the Friday night to be given back by Saturday seemed a bit last minute. I fully expected this, but it would have been better to be asked more in advance to allow this to be gathered. Also when I dropped the balloons off, at the suggested time, there was no one on reception, so I had to wait about ten minutes before eventually tracking someone down to help. Easily fixed issues but just to flag up. We will be back! Thank you

Ok stay. The hotel room was a bit cold but other than that the 2 days we stayed there were good, decent breakfast.

I stayted at the WCH, in the annex about 25 metres from the main hotel, and would not choose to do so again. On arrival everything seemed fine, other than they only had me booked in for one night when it was two. I went to my room. The room was a very odd triangular shape requiring me to move awkwardly around the furniture to get to and from the bed. Other than that, the room was fine. I arrived back at the hotel on the second evening and my key did not work; I could not get through the outside door. I went back across the road to reception to get this sorted out and my key was re-programmed; I got through the outside door but not into my room. I went back, came back to my room, it didn't work. I went back a third time and the receptionist seemed more interested in finding a hairbrush for her daughter's wet hair and sorting out another item for her other daughter than sorting out my room key. Eventually she came with me to the room, changed the batteries in the door lock and, my key didn't work. She gave me another programmed key and that did work. Whilst I was talking on the phone in my room the maintenance person just opened the door to come in. He did not knock or establish if there was someone in there. Having realised I was in the room he then closed the door and then reopened it to apologise.

I booked in four nights, car parking an initial issue, where is it? then reception.. where is it? found all that, turning into a push-me-pull-you!! (going over the road and back). The room was different a sort of bendy road shape (best describes it) very well presented until I went to sleep!! I'm sure the guy next door had a bladder problem and could clearly here everything!! (walls paper thin)later that evening, I'm sure the hotel turned into a runway as a could clearly hear a plane taking off! that soon passed, another bladder issue with the guy the other side now!! Anyway moving on, the breakfast was ten pounds and was quiet excited at the thought!! what a disappointment :-( not ten pounds worth not a million years... moving on, I survived to next three nights only to be told at check out there would be a surcharge on my credit card!!! the receptionist kindly told me that I should have been told on check in!! Whoops!!. The whole experience was not good and I'll leave it up to you to decide.........
